CAUTION!
All accessories, switches, climate controls panels, and
especially air bag indicator lights must be connected before cycling
the ignition. Also, do not remove the factory radio with the key in the
on position, or while the vehicle is running.
• Pre-wired AXSWC harness (AXSWC

AXDI-TY1
Connections to be made
From the AXDI-TY1 harness to the aftermarket radio:
• Connect the and wire to the ground wire.Black Black/White
If installing an AXSWC, there will be a ground wire on the AXSWC/AUX-IN Note:
harness to connect as well.
• Connect the Yellow wire to the battery wire.
• Connect the wire to the accessory wire.Red
If installing an AXSWC (sold separately), there will be an accessory wire Note:
on the AXSWC/AUX-IN harness to connect as well.
• Connect the wire to the amp turn on wire. This wire must be Blue/White
connected to hear sound from the factory amplifier.
• Connect the wire to the power antenna wire.Blue
• If the aftermarket radio has an illumination wire, connect the wire to it.Orange
• Connect the wire to the right front positive speaker output.Gray
• Connect the wire to the right front negative speaker output.Gray/Black
• Connect the wire to the left front positive speaker output.White
• Connect the wire to the left front negative speaker output.White/Black
From the AXSWC/AUX-IN harness to the aftermarket radio:
• This harness is to be used along with the optional AXSWC (not included) to
retain steering wheel audio controls. If the AXSWC is not being used, disregard
this harness, unless AUX-IN is desired to be retained. If it will be used, please
refer to the AXSWC instructions for radio connections and programming.
Note: Disregard the harness that comes with the AXSWC.
Note: Not applicable for the Toyota Avalon 2005-2010.
• Connect the wire to the ground wire.Black
• Connect the wire to the accessory wire.Red
• This harness will work with both early and late generation model Toyota SWC
harnesses. Early generation models use a 20-pin harness; late generation
models use a 28-pin harness. Use only the appropriate harness that the vehicle
requires (only one of the harnesses will connect into the wiring harness in the
vehicle). The 12-pin harness will connect into the AXSWC.
• If retaining the factory AUX-IN jack, connect the & RCA jacks to the Red White
AUX input.
AXDI-TY1
Installing the AXDI-TY1
With the key in the off position:
• Connect the AXDI-TY1 harness into the interface, and then to the wiring harness
in the vehicle.
• Connect the AXSWC/AUX-IN harness to the wiring harness in the vehicle.
Note: If using the AXSWC, connect it after you test the AXDI-TY1, with the key
in the off position.
Not applicable for the Toyota Avalon 2005-2010.Note:
Testing the AXDI-TY1
• Turn the key (or push-to-start button) to the ignition position and wait until the
radio comes on. The factory amplifier should come on and you should hear
sound at this point.
• Test all functions of the installation for proper operation, before reassembling
the dash.
Note: Fade control will not be retained with this interface.
