DESCRIPTION:
The VIP-802 Dual Networked Page Zone Extender enables voice access to two zones of one-way paging over an IP-
based LAN/WAN. This allows page zone extension anywhere on the network. Multiple VIP-802 Dual Networked Page
Zone Extenders can be used on the same network to create very large and distributed public address systems.
Example applications include: Multiple floors in a single building, Multiple buildings in a campus environment, City wide
paging of all Fire & Rescue buildings, Interstate paging between bank branches.

ARCHITECTS’ AND ENGINEERS
The Dual Networked Page Zone Extender Model VIP-802 will provide a single 10/100 Ethernet port, 2 audio input/output
circuits, 2 Digital contact closure inputs and 2 N.O. relay orked Page Zone Extender Model contact outputs. The Dual Netw
VIP-802 will provide all circuitry and software to convert network data to zone page audio output. The Dual Networked
Page Zone Extender Model VIP-802 will provide all circuitry and software to convert input audio to zone page audio and
control information suitable for transmission to other Valcom IP Solutions products over a data network. The Dual
Networked Page Zone Extender Model VIP-802 shall form one part of a serverless Network based communications
system.
The Dual Networked Page Zone Extender Model VIP-802 shall be powered via either an external 24 Vdc power supply or
via a 802.3af PoE Ethernet switch port.
All setup and conguration of the Dual Networked Page Zone Extender Model VIP-802 will be via the Valcom VIP-102 IP
Solutions Setup Tool.
The Dual Networked Page Zone Extender Model VIP-802 shall be constructed of steel and be wall, table or rack
mountable.
The maximum dimensions shall be: 1.75 H x 6.75" W x 9.5" D (4.45cm H x 17.15cm W x 24.13cm D). Weight shall be
approximately: 1.75 lbs. (0.79 kg).
LIMITED WARRANTY
Valcom, Inc. warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under conditions of nor-mal use
and service for a period of one year from the date of shipment. The obligation under this warranty shall be limited to the
re-placement, repair or refund of any such defective device within the warranty period, provided that:
1. inspection by Valcom, Inc. indicates the validity of the claim,
2. the defect is not the result of damage, misuse, or negligence after the original shipment,
3. the product has not been in any way repaired by others and that factory sealed units are unopened (A service
charge plus parts and labor will be applied to units defaced or physically damaged).
4. freight charges for the return of products to Valcom, Inc. are prepaid,
5. all units “out of warranty” are subject to a service charge. The service charge will cover minor repairs (major
repairs will be subject to additional charges for parts and labor)
This warranty is in lieu of and excludes all other warranties expressed or implied, and in no event shall Valcom, Inc. be liable
for any anticipated prots, consequential damages, loss of time or other losses incurred by the buyer in connection with the
purchase, operation or use of the product.
This warranty specifically excludes damage incurred in shipment. In the event a product is received in damaged condition, the carrier
should be notified immediately. Claims for such damage shoul ed in accordance with the F.O.B. d be filed with the carrier involv point.
