Balance de Cuisine Numérique
Báscula Digital de Cocina
Thank you for purchasing a Taylor® digital kitchen scale. Your Taylor® scale is an example of superior
design and crasmanship. Please read this instrucon manual carefully before use. Keep these
instrucons handy for future reference.
Baery Informaon
This scale operates on 1 3 volt CR2032 lithium battery (installed). There is a strip under the lithium
baery cover to prevent baery drain in shipping. Please remove the strip before connuing with these
instrucons (you may need to remove the baery compartment cover to avoid breaking the strip). Also,
some models have a stac cling label on the lens to prevent scratching. Please remove before use.
Replace the baery when the Low Baery warning “L ” appears on the display, or the readings grow O
dim or irregular. To replace the battery:
1. Use one 3 volt CR2032 lithium baery.
2. Remove screw (or screws) from the battery compartment cover on the boom of the scale and
remove the cover. Take care when removing and replacing the baery door screw. Do not turn the
screw in the wrong direcon or over ghten it as this may strip the screw threads in the plasc battery
door.
3. Remove the old baery from the compartment.
4. Place the new baery with the “+” sign up into the baery compartment.
5. Replace the baery compartment cover and screw(s).
NOTE: Please recycle or dispose of batteries per local regulaons.
WARNING: Baeries may pose a choking hazard. As with all small items, do not let children handle
baeries. If swallowed, seek medical aenon immediately.
PRECAUTION: Do not dispose of baeries in re. Baeries may explode or leak. Remove the battery if
the scale will not be used for a long period of me.

turn the scale o manually, press and hold the “ ” buon unl the scale turns o.
Tare Operaon
You may wish to weigh ingredients in a bowl or other container (not included). In this case, you will need

1. Choose a container that will safely balance on the plaorm without pping or falling. Do not use a
heavy container, as this might reduce the maximum capacity of the scale.
2. While the scale is o, place the empty container on the scale plaorm. Turn the scale on. The display
will turn on and then show zero. The weight of the container has been zeroed out.
3. Add the ingredient to be weighed. The weight of the ingredient alone will display.
4. The weight of addional ingredients may be tared out as well. For example, if a recipe calls for ½ lb
rice and ½ lb beans, place the rice into the bowl. Once the correct amount of rice is weighed, press the
“tare buon to reset the display to zero. Add the ½ lb of beans. Both ingredients have been accurately
weighed in the same bowl.

removed from the scale. Press the “tare” buon to reset the scale back to zero for a new measurement.
