MODE OF USAGE
Congratulations on the purchase of your Djoclate by Pepperdecks!
The Djoclate is an audio mixer that connects two devices to your stereo at the same time. The
Djoclate works with any device with a headphone/headset output (3.5mm), such as smart phones,
tablets, MP3 players, laptops, etc.
How do I connect the Djoclate to my devices and stereo?
> Use the included 3.5mm jack to jack cables(s) to connect one device to the Input Channel
Left and/or another device to the Input Channel Right.
> Plug the 3.5mm jack that is connected to your stereo (cable not included), into the Output
of the Djoclate.
How do I use the Djoclate when connected?
> By pushing a fader up, you increase the volume of the respective channel on the left or
right. Pushing a fader down, decreases the volume.
> You can make a smooth transition from one channel to the other by pushing one fader up
while pushing down the other one.
> Activate the bass-kill knob (knob in pushed down position) to reduce the lower frequency
tones of the respective channel. For example during a transition, to prevent an excess of low
frequency tones while playing both channels at the same time.
> De-activate the bass-kill knob (knob in higher position) to bring back the normal volume
level of the lower frequency tones.
IMPORTANT TECHNICAL NOTES ON THE BATTERY FREE DJOCLATE
The Djoclate is a ‘passive’ device: it does not require a battery. It uses the input signals of the devices to
which it is connected. Therefore the output signal of the Djoclate is dependent on the characteristics of
the connected devices and cables.
A passive device like the Djoclate has an internal resistance. Therefore the output signal of the Djoclate is
a bit quieter than the output signal of the connected device itself. You can simply compensate for this by
increasing the volume of your stereo.
Pushing a fader up or down and (de-)activating the bass kill knobs aect the internal resistance and
therefore aects the output signal of the Djoclate a bit.
The output signals of dierent devices (e.g. a phone compared to a laptop) often vary. If you connect two
devices to the Djoclate, set the volume of the device with the lowest output signal to the maximum and
adjust the volume level of the other device to the same level. In this way the Djoclate generates the same
volume levels at both channels.
CE and FCC CERTIFICATE
This product conforms to European CE EMC Directive EN55032, EN55035, EN61000-3-2, EN61000-3-3 and
American FCC sDOC Directive Part 15B, and is eligible to bear CE and FCC marking.
DISPOSAL OF OLD ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
This symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product shall not be treated as
household waste. Instead it shall be handed over to the applicable collection point for the recycling of
electrical and electronic equipment. By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help

WARRANTY
If within 12 months of purchase this device or any part thereof is proven to be defective by reason of
faulty workmanship or defects in materials, we will at our option repair or replace the same free of charge
of labor or materials on condition that: the original invoice or sales receipt with the date of purchase, or
stampfrom the dealer is presented together with the defective unit.
The warranty does not cover Product failures which have been caused by use of accessories or other
peripheral devices which are not Pepperdecks branded original accessories intended for use with the
product.
The warranty does not cover Product failures caused by: modication, repaired, and disassembled by any
person who is not authorized by the manufacturer.
Any defective unit or part shall become property of the manufacturer.
The warranty does not cover any damage caused by misuse, drop, hit or neglect.

fonctionne avec tout appareil avec une sortie (3.5mm) pour Ă©couteurs/un casque audio, tels que smart
phones, tablettes, lecteurs MP3, ordinateurs, etc.
Comment connecter le Djoclate à mes appareils et à ma stéréo ?
> Utilisez le cĂąble jack 3.5mm pour connecter un appareil Ă  l’EntrĂ©e Canal Gauche et/ou un
autre appareil Ă  l’EntrĂ©e Canal Droite.
> Branchez le cĂąble jack 3.5mm connectĂ© Ă  votre stĂ©rĂ©o (ce cĂąble n’est pas inclus), dans la
Sortie du Djoclate.
Comment utiliser le Djoclate une fois connecté?
> En déplaçant le fader vers le haut, vous augmentez le volume du canal correspondant
à gauche et à droite. En déplaçant le fader vers le bas, vous diminuez le volume.
> Vous pouvez assurer une transition en douceur d’un canal Ă  un autre en dĂ©plaçant un
fader vers le haut tout en dĂ©plaçant l’autre vers le bas.
> Activez le bouton bass-kill (bouton en position basse) pour réduire les tonalités basses
du canal correspondant. Par exemple pendant une transition, pour Ă©viter un excĂšs de
tonalitĂ©s Ă  basse frĂ©quence lorsque vous jouez avec les deux canaux en mĂȘme temps.
> DĂ©sactivez le bouton bass-kill (bouton en position haute) pour ramener le volume Ă  un
niveau normal de tonalités à basse fréquence.
NOTES TECHNIQUES IMPORTANTES SUR LE FONCTIONNEMENT SANS PILE DU DJOCLATE
Le Djoclate est un appareil ‘passif’ : il ne nĂ©cessite pas de pile ou de chargeur. Il utilise les signaux d’entrĂ©e
des appareils auxquels il est connecté. Aussi, le signal de sortie du Djoclate dépend-il des caractéristiques
des appareils connectés et des cùbles.
Un appareil passif comme le Djoclate a une résistance interne. Par conséquent, le signal de sortie du
Djoclate est un peu plus silencieux que le signal de sortie de l’appareil connectĂ© mĂȘme. Vous pouvez
facilement compenser cela en augmentant le volume de votre stéréo.
Le dĂ©placement du fader vers le bas ou vers le haut et l’activation/la dĂ©sactivation du bouton bass-kill
modie la rĂ©sistance interne et par consĂ©quent diminue un peu le signal de sortie du Djoclate.
Les signaux de sortie des appareils varient souvent (par ex. un téléphone comparé à un ordinateur). Si
vous connectez deux appareils au Djoclate, paramĂ©trez le volume de l’appareil au signal de sortie le
plus bas au maximum et ajustez le volume de l’autre appareil au mĂȘme niveau. De cette façon, le
Djoclate gĂ©nĂšre les mĂȘmes niveaux de volume sur les deux canaux.

Djoclate es un mezclador de audio que conecta dos aparatos a su estéreo al mismo tiempo. Djoclate es
compatible con cualquier aparato con una vĂ­a de salida (3.5mm) para auriculares/audĂ­fonos, como
teléfonos inteligentes, tabletas, lectores MP3, ordenadores, etc.
¿Cómo puedo conectar Djoclate a mis aparatos y a la estéreo?
> Utilice los cables conectores de 3.5mm incluidos para conectar un aparato al Canal
Izquierdo de Entrada y/o un otro aparato al Canal Derecho de Entrada.

ÂżCĂłmo se utiliza Djoclate cuando estĂĄ conectado?

NOTAS TÉCNICAS IMPORTANTES SOBRE EL USO SIN BATERÍAS DE DJOCLATE
Djoclate es un aparato ‘pasivo’: no necesita baterĂ­as. Utiliza las señales de entrada de los aparatos a los
que estĂĄ conectado. Por lo tanto, la señal de salida de Djoclate puede variar segĂșn las caracterĂ­sticas de
los aparatos conectados y de los cables.

De Djoclate is een audiomixer die twee apparaten tegelijk verbindt aan je stereo-installatie. Op de
Djoclate sluit je elk apparaat aan met een hoofdtelefoon/headset output (3.5mm), zoals smart phones,
tablets, MP3 spelers, laptops, etc.
Hoe sluit ik mijn apparaten en mijn stereo op de Djoclate aan?
> Gebruik de bijgeleverd 3.5mm jack kabel(s) om Ă©Ă©n apparaat aan te sluiten op Input Kanaal
Links en/of een ander apparaat op Input Kanaal Rechts.
> Van de kabel die met je stereo verbonden is (kabel niet inbegrepen), steek je de 3.5 mm
jack-plug in de Output van de Djoclate.
Hoe gebruik ik de Djoclate als alles is aangesloten?
> Door de fader omhoog te duwen, verhoog je het volume van het betreende kanaal link
of rechts. Het volume wordt verlaagd door een fader naar beneden te duwen.
> Je kunt een naadloze overgang maken van het ene kanaal naar het andere door de ene
fader omhoog te duwen terwijl je de andere omlaag duwt.
> Activeer de bass-kill knop (knop in lage stand) om het volume van de lage frequentie tonen
te verminderen van het betreende kanaal. Bijvoorbeeld tijdens een overgang, om
overmatige lage frequentie tonen te voorkomen op het moment dat het geluid vanuit
beide kanalen komt.
> De-activeer de bass-kill knop (knop in hoge stand) om weer het normale volume van de
lage frequentie tonen te verkrijgen.
BELANGRIJKE TECHNISCHE INFORMATIE OVER DE BATTERIJLOZE DJOCLATE
De Djoclate is een ‘passief’ apparaat: het behoeft geen batterij om te functioneren. Het gebruikt de
input-signalen van de apparaten die er op aangesloten zijn. Daardoor is het output-signaal van de
Djoclate afhankelijk van de eigenschappen van de aangesloten apparaten en kabels.
Een passief apparaat zoals de Djoclate heeft een interne weerstand. Hierdoor is het volume van het
output-signaal een fractie lager dan het output-signaal van de aangesloten apparaten zelf. Je kunt dit
simpelweg compenseren door het volume van je stereo-installatie te verhogen.
Omhoog of omlaag duwen van de fader en (de-)activeren van de bass-kill knoppen beĂŻnvloeden de
interne weerstand en daarmee ook het output-signaal van de Djoclate.
De output-signalen van verscheidene apparaten, bijvoorbeeld een telefoon vergeleken met een laptop,
verschillen vaak. Als je twee apparaten aansluit op de Djoclate, zet je het volume van het apparaat met
het zwakste signaal in de maximale stand en pas je het volume van het andere apparaat hierop aan
zodat beide volumeniveaus van beide kanalen gelijk zijn.
CE en FCC MARKERING
Dit product conformeert zich aan de Europese CE EMC richtlijn EN55032, EN55035, EN61000-3-2,
EN61000-3-3 en de Amerikaanse FCC sDOC richtlijn Stuk 15B, en mag de CE en FCC markering dragen.
VERWIJDERING VAN OUDE ELEKTRISCHE EN ELEKTRONISCHE APPARATEN

Het defecte product of onderdeel wordt per denitie eigendom van de fabrikant.

Der Djoclate ist ein Audiomischpult, welches zwei GerÀte gleichzeitig mit Deiner Musikanlage verbindet.
Der Djoclate funktioniert mit jedem GerÀt inklusive Kopfhörerausgang (3.5mm), wie z.B. Smartphones,
Tablets, MP3-Players, Laptops, etc.
Wie schließe ich den Djoclate an meine GerĂ€te und meine Musikanlage an?
> Verwende die im Lieferumfang enthaltenen 3.5mm Klinke Kabel, um das eine GerÀt mit
dem Eingang des linken Kanals und/oder ein anderes GerÀt mit dem Eingang des rechten
Kanals zu verbinden.
> Verbinde das 3.5mm Klinke Kabel, welches mit Deiner Musikanlage verbunden ist (Kabel
nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten), mit dem Ausgang des Djoclate.
Wie bediene ich den angeschlossenen Djoclate?
> Durch Hochschieben eines Faders erhöhst Du die LautstÀrke des entsprechenden Kanal auf
der linken oder rechten Seite. Herunterschieben des Faders verringert hingegen die
LautstÀrke.
> Du kannst einen nahtlosen Übergang von einem Kanal zum anderen erreichen, indem Du
gleichzeitig den einen Fader hoch und den anderen Fader runter schiebst.
> Aktiviere den Bass-Kill-Knopf (Knopf muss in eingedrĂŒckter Position sein), um die
niederfrequenten Töne des entsprechenden Kanals zu reduzieren. Dies verhindert zum
Beispiel bei ÜbergĂ€ngen ein Übermaß an niederfrequenten Tönen, wenn beide KanĂ€le
gleichzeitig abgespielt werden.
> Deaktiviere den Bass-Kill-Knopf (Knopf muss in herausstehender Position sein), um die
niederfrequenten Töne zurĂŒck auf das normale Niveau zu bringen.
WICHTIGE TECHNISCHE HINWEISE FÜR DEN BATTERIELOSEN DJOCLATE
Der Djoclate ist ein “passives” GerĂ€t und benötigt somit keine Batterien. Er nutzt das Eingangssignal des
verbundenen GerÀtes. Somit ist das Ausgangssignal des Djoclate abhÀngig von der Charakteristik der
verbundenen GerÀte und Kabel.
Ein passives GerĂ€t wie der Djoclate hat einen inneren Widerstand. Dies fĂŒhrt dazu, dass das
Ausgangssignal des Djoclate etwas leiser ist als das eigentliche Ausgangssignal des verbundenen
GerÀtes. Du kannst dies einfach durch Erhöhen der LautstÀrke Deiner Musikanlage ausgleichen.
Das Hoch- und Runterschieben der Fader sowie das Aktivieren und Deaktivieren der Bass-Kill-Knöpfe
beeinusst den inneren Widerstand und somit auch etwas das Ausgangssignal des Djoclate.
Die SignalstÀrke von unterschiedlichen GerÀtearten, z.B. eines Telefons, verglichen mit der eines Laptops,
