1. Push the tube fully into the motor housing aligning the cutout. Ensure the
motor housing and the rear handle are in the correct orientation when you
do so.

2. Screw tight with the motor tube
collar.
WARNING! WHEN HANDLING THE BLADE ASSEMBLY,
WEAR NON-SLIP, HEAVY-DUTY PROTECTIVE GLOVES.
DO NOT PLACE YOUR HAND OR FINGERS BETWEEN
BLADES OR IN ANY POSITION WHERE THEY COULD
GET PINCHED OR CUT. NEVER TOUCH BLADES, MAKE
ADJUSTMENTS OR SERVICE THE UNIT WITH THE POWER
SUPPLY CONNECTED.
Blade cover
The blade cover protects
the blade when not in
use. Simply slide it off the
blade before use. Once
finished operating, place
the cover back over the
blade.

3. Fit the assembly screw in the
hole provided and firmly tighten
to secure in place with the
combination key.
NOTE: The hole in the tube and
the motor housing will align when
assembled correctly.
2. SETUP 3. PREPARATION
Adjusting the telescopic length
1. To unlock the telescopic tube collar, twist
the collar in a clockwise direction while
pointing the blade away from the user.
The locking and unlocking directions are
indicated on the collar.
2. With the collar released, the telescopic tube can be pulled forward out of the
collar, thereby extending its reach.
3. To lock in the desired position, firmly twist the telescopic tube collar in an
anti-clockwise direction, while pointing the blade away from the user.
Attaching the shoulder strap
1. Fasten the carabiner hook on the ends of the shoulder strap to the shoulder
strap retainers.
2. Wear the shoulder strap so that it lies over your shoulder.
3. Using the strap adjuster on the shoulder strap, make adjustments until you
achieve the most comfortable working and cutting position.
4. The shoulder strap is equipped with
a buckle. Wear in such a way that the
buckle is always close to hand. In an
emergency you can quickly unclip by
pressing either side of the buckle.
NOTE: If necessary you can adjust the
position of the shoulder strap retainer on the main tube. To do so, loosen the
bolt with the supplied combination key and move the shoulder strap retainer
as required and then retighten the bolt.
Adjusting the blade tilt
WARNING! DO NOT HOLD THE BLADE IN AN ATTEMPT TO
ADJUST THE BLADE ANGLE. DOING SO MAY RESULT IN
POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.
The cutting head can be tilted to 5 different angles for ease of cutting in
different conditions.
1. Grip the motor housing of the trimmer,
press and hold the pivoting head button.
2. Tilt the head to any of the 5
preset angles, then release
the button to lock the head
in the selected position.
Protective clothing
Make absolutely sure to wear the appropriate, close fitting protective clothing,
such as protective pants, gloves and safety shoes. Wearing hearing protection,
protective goggles and a safety helmet with a face guard will provide
protection against falling and recoiling branches.
WARNING!: NEVER USE THE EQUIPMENT BAREFOOT OR IN
SANDALS.
WARNING! ALWAYS USE A SHOULDER STRAP WHEN
WORKING WITH THE POLE HEDGE TRIMMER. ALWAYS
SWITCH OFF THE EQUIPMENT BEFORE YOU RELEASE
THE SHOULDER STRAP. OTHERWISE THERE IS A RISK OF
INJURY.
