OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This curling iron is intended for household use.
Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only. This
unit is designed to be operated at 120V AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). As a safety feature, this
plug will fi t in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fi t fully in the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not fi t, contact a qualifi ed
electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety
feature.
NOTE: Do not use this styling appliance on
hair extensions.
GETTING STARTED
Plug the iron into an electrical outlet. Turn on
unit. Allow unit to heat up for 15 seconds.
IMPORTANT!
The temperature setting will automatically lock
within 5 seconds of turning your appliance on.
You may adjust the temperature immediately
after turning the appliance on OR, if the
temperature setting is locked, hold down the
+ or - button for 1–2 seconds to adjust it.
Press and hold the ON/OFF button for 1–2
seconds to turn off unit (light will go off). Never
leave your curling iron on and unattended.
However, should you fail to turn the unit off, it
will shut itself off automatically within 60
minutes.
WARNING: The curling iron’s titanium
ceramic-coated barrel will get very hot
within a few seconds and should not be
placed in contact with the skin after the
curling iron has been turned on.
ADVANCED IONIC TECHNOLOGY
Many aspects of modern living, including air
conditioning, contact with man-made fi bers
and air pollution, contribute to a buildup of
static electricity in the hair. Even brushing and
towel-drying the hair can increase these levels,
causing the surface of the cuticle to become
rough.
Consequently, hair may have a dull appearance.
Also, high levels of static charge cause hair to
become fl yaway and diffi cult to style.
The powerful ion generator produces a stream

TO CURL HAIR
Hair should be clean and completely dry before
using the curling iron. Section hair evenly, and
comb each section before winding. For best
results, use a light styling product before
blow-drying hair.
1. Start curling with a hair section that is 1 inch
wide and no more than ½ inch thick. Open
the spoon and place curling iron midway up
the hair section, then spread hair evenly
between spoon and barrel. Gently slide the
curling iron down to hair ends. To avoid
crimped ends, make sure they are securely
wound under the spoon in the direction of the
desired curl. Remember, always place the
spoon above the hair strand when making a
curl you want rolled under; place the spoon
under the hair strand when creating a fl ip
style.
2. Wind the hair up as far as you want it curled,
being careful not to let the iron touch the
scalp. Hold 8–12 seconds, depending on the
length and texture of your hair. For tighter,
bouncier curls, roll less hair. For looser,
free-fl owing curls, roll more hair. Repeat
process on additional sections of hair until
you achieve the hairstyle you desire.
3. To remove the curling iron, unwind the hair
and press the handle and allow curl to slide
out. To set curl, do not comb or brush curls
until cool.
4. Repeat process on additional sections of hair
until you achieve the hair style you desire. It
may be necessary to repeat process on
certain areas, depending on the texture of
your hair.
Some experience is necessary when using this
curling iron. After using the iron several times,
you will learn the ideal way to curl and style
your hair.

Your curling iron is virtually maintenance free.
No lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and
openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning
becomes necessary, disconnect the unit from
the power source, allow to cool and wipe
exterior with a cloth. If any abnormal condition
occurs, unplug the unit, allow it to cool, and
return it for repair to an authorized service
representative only. No repairs should be
attempted by the consumer.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be pulled
or twisted. Never wrap the cord around the ap-
pliance. Damage will occur at the high-fl ex point
of entry into the appliance, causing it to rupture
and short circuit.
Inspect the cord frequently for damage. STOP
USE IMMEDIATELY if damage is visible or if unit
stops or operates intermittently.
STORAGE — Important
When not in use, your appliance should be
disconnected and stored in a safe, dry
location, out of reach of children. Do not wrap
line cord around the appliance. Allow the cord

Para uso doméstico solamente. Úselo solamente
con corriente alterna (60 Hz). Este aparato ha
sido diseñado para funcionar con corriente de
120 V AC.
El cable de este aparato cuenta con un enchufe
polarizado (una pata es más ancha que la otra).
Como medida de seguridad, se podrá enchufar
de una sola manera en la toma de corriente
polarizada. Si no entra en la toma de corriente,

caliente por 15 segundos.
¡IMPORTANTE!
El ajuste de temperatura se bloqueará
automáticamente 5 segundos después de
encender su aparato. Puede ajustar la
temperatura al nivel deseado inmediatamente
después de encender el aparato. Nota: si el
ajuste está bloqueado, mantenga el botón + o
– oprimido por 1 a 2 segundos.
Mantenga oprimido el botón ON/OFF por 1 a 2
segundos para apagar el aparato; el indicador
luminoso se apagará. Nunca descuide/deje el
aparato sin vigilancia después de encenderlo.

automáticamente después de 60 minutos.
ADVERTENCIA: el tubo se pondrá

CÓMO RIZAR EL CABELLO
El cabello debe estar limpio y seco. Divida el
cabello en secciones uniformes y peine cada
sección. Para obtener resultados óptimos,
aplique una loción fijadora ligera en el cabello
antes de secarlo.
1. Divida el cabello en secciones de 1 pulgada
(2.5 cm) de ancho por ½ pulgada (1.5 cm) o
menos de grueso. Abra la tenaza, presionando la
manija. Coloque el aparato a medio camino en
una sección de cabello y distribuya el cabello
uniformemente entre el tubo y la pinza. Deslice el
aparato suavemente hacia las puntas. Para evitar
tener las puntas encrespadas, asegúrese de que
están firmemente posicionadas entre el tubo y la
pinza, en la dirección deseada. Consejo: para
rizar hacia dentro, coloque la sección de cabello
por encima de la pinza. Para rizar hacia fuera,
coloque la sección de cabello debajo de la pinza.
2. Enrolle el cabello hacia el cuero cabelludo, sin
permitir que el aparato haga contacto con este.
Mantenga la tenaza en esta posición por 8 a 12
segundos, dependiendo de la textura y de la
longitud del cabello. Para obtener rizos apretados
y elásticos, divida el cabello en secciones más
delgadas. Para obtener rizos sueltos y naturales,
enrolle secciones más gruesas. Repita el proceso
en cada sección de cabello, hasta conseguir el
estilo deseado.
3. Para sacar la tenaza, desenrolle el cabello y
oprima la manija para soltarlo. Permita que el
cabello se enfríe antes de peinarlo para “fijar”
los rizos.
Nota: será necesario experimentar un poco al
principio. Con práctica, encontrará la manera
perfecta para rizar su cabello fácil y rápidamente.

INSTRUCCIONES
DE MANTENIMIENTO
Este aparato requiere poco mantenimiento .
No necesita lubricación. Mantenga todos
los orificios de ventilación y aberturas libres
de polvos y pelusas. Cuando sea necesario
limpiarlo, desenchúfelo, permita que se enfríe
y limpie la carcasa con un paño humedecido.
En caso de mal funcionamiento, desenchufe
el aparato, permita que se enfríe y devuélvalo
a un centro de servicio autorizado. No trate de
repararlo.
PRECAUCIÓN
NUNCA jale, tuerza ni retuerza el cable eléctrico.
Nunca enrolle el cable alrededor del aparato;
esto puede dañar la junta flexible que lo
conecta al aparato, produciendo su rotura o un
cortocircuito.
Revise el cable con frecuencia para asegurarse
de que no está dañado. DEJE DE USAR EL
APARATO INMEDIATAMENTE si el cable está

ALMACENAJE — Importante
