OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This curling iron is intended for household use.
Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only. This
unit is designed to be operated at 120V AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug
will ïŹt in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not ïŹt fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it
still does not ïŹt, contact a qualiïŹed electrician. Do
not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
NOTE: Do not use this styling appliance on
hair extensions.
STYLING WITH THE NEW TOURMALINE
CERAMIC EASY-GLIDE BARREL
The barrel of your new curling iron has a
tourmaline ceramic easy-glide surface, the
newest technology. This means it’s not only
simpler to clean off styling product residue,
etc., after each use, but you’ll ïŹnd that hair
glides easily over the surface of the barrel as
you’re curling. The tourmaline ceramic surface
also helps smooth down ïŹ‚yaways and frizzies.
It evenly distributes heat so that the style you
create has a salon-perfect, silky smooth,
shining ïŹnish. Hair also slips right through the
barrel after it’s curled.
The new Tourmaline Ceramic technology is a
pleasure to work with and makes styling your
hair easier and the results more professional.
USING INSTANT HEAT, THE 5 HIGH-HEAT
TEMPERATURE SETTINGS & UNIFORM HEAT
RECOVERY SYSTEM
This curling iron features a ceramic heater that
maintains constant temperature during use for
precision styling.
This Instant Heat technology has 5 high-heat
temperature settings. There is a temperature
range that’s gentle and safe for every type of
hair, from the ïŹnest to the most resistant, and
helps you create the look you want. And that’s
not all. Conair’s professional salon standards of
engineering provide you with a uniform and
improved heat recovery system that maintains
the iron at constant temperatures. There is a
constant surge of power to ensure that heat is
continuously and quickly delivered for optimal
styling results, unlike other units, which lose
heat during use. This provides consistent styling
power so that every strand of your hair is set
with the same level of heat and comes out the
same way for a perfect ïŹnish. Never leave your curling iron on and
unat tended. However, should you fail to turn
the iron off, it will shut itself off automatically
within 60 minutes.
GETTING STARTED
The iron’s unique 5 high-heat temperature
settings and Instant Heat technology provide
styling versatility for all hair types. If you have
ïŹne hair, a low temperature will provide the best
results. If you have thick, wavy or hard-to-curl
hair, keep the heat setting on high. You can vary
the iron’s temperature according to your
particular need!
Temperature Setting Guide
TO CURL HAIR
Hair should be clean and completely dry before
using the curling iron. Plug the iron into an
electrical outlet. Turn on unit. The Power/Low
(285˚F) setting will become illuminated. Allow unit
to heat up for 30 seconds.
WARNING: The curling iron’s tourmaline
ceramic-coated barrel will get very hot within
a few seconds and should not be placed in
contact with the skin after the curling iron has
been turned on.
For best results, use a light styling product before
blow-drying hair. Start curling with a hair section
that is 1 inch wide and no more than 1⁄2 inch
thick. Open the spoon and place a hair section on
the barrel, rolling up, close to the scalp. Hold for
8–12 seconds, depending on length and texture
of your hair. Press the handle and allow the curl
to slide out. Repeat process on additional sections
of hair until you achieve the hairstyle you desire.
It may be necessary to repeat process on certain
areas, depending on the texture of your hair.
Some experience is necessary when learning to
use this curling iron. After using the iron several
times, you will learn the ideal way to curl and style
your hair.
A bonus protective heat shield has been included to
safely store product away when hot. Great for use at
home or when traveling. Do not leave unit plugged in
when not in use.

USER MAINTENANCE
Your curling iron is virtually maintenance free. No
lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and openings
clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning becomes
necessary, disconnect the unit from the power
source, allow to cool and wipe exterior with a
cloth. If any abnormal condition occurs, unplug
the unit, allow it to cool, and return it for repair to
an Authorized Service Center only. No repairs
should be attempted by the consumer.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be pulled,
twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap the cord
tightly around the appliance. Damage will occur
at the high flex point of entry into the appliance,
causing it to rupture and short circuit. Inspect the
cord frequently for damage. Stop use immedi-
ately if damage is visible or if unit stops or operates
intermittently.
STORAGE
When not in use, your appliance is easy to store.
Allow appliance to cool, then simply store out of
reach of children in a safe, dry location. Do not

Para uso doméstico solamente. Utilícelo
solamente con corriente alterna (60 Hz). Este
aparato p2-ha sido diseñado para funcionar con

El cable de este aparato cuenta con un enchufe
polarizado (una pata es mĂĄs ancha que la otra).
Como medida de seguridad, se podrĂĄ enchufar
de una sola manera en la toma de corriente
polarizada. Si no entra en la toma de corriente,
inviértalo. Si aun así no entra completamente,
comunĂ­quese con un electricista. No intente ir en

FUNCIONAMIENTO BÁSICO
Este aparato cuenta con calentamiento
instantĂĄneo y 5 opciones de temperatura ultra
alta para proporcionar mayor versatilidad durante
el peinado, cualquiera que sea su tipo de cabello.
Si su cabello es fino/delgado, le recomendamos
que utilice temperatura baja. Si su cabello es
espeso, grueso, ondulado o resistente, le
recomendamos que utilice el nivel de
temperatura alto. ÂĄPersonalice la temperatura
segĂșn su tipo de cabello!

Nunca descuide/deje el aparato sin vigilancia
después de encenderlo. Para su seguridad, el
aparato se apagarå automåticamente después
de 60 minutos.
CÓMO RIZAR EL CABELLO
El cabello debe estar limpio y seco. Enchufe el
cable en una toma de corriente. Encienda el
aparato; la luz de encendido/bajo (285˚F) se
encenderĂĄ. Permita que la unidad se caliente por
30 segundos.
ADVERTENCIA: el tubo se pone
extremadamente caliente en solo segundos;
evite el contacto con la piel después de
encender el aparato.
Para obtener resultados Ăłptimos, aplique una lociĂłn
fijadora ligera en el cabello antes de secarlo. Divida
el cabello en secciones de 1 pulgada (2.5 cm) de
ancho por œ pulgada (1.5 cm) o menos de grueso.
Abra la tenaza y coloque una secciĂłn de cabello
entre el tubo y la pinza. Enrolle el cabello alrededor
del tubo, hacia el cuero cabelludo. Mantenga la
tenaza en esta posiciĂłn por 8 a 12 segundos,
dependiendo de la textura y de la longitud del cabello.
Presione la manija para soltar el cabello. Repita el
proceso en cada secciĂłn de cabello, hasta conseguir
el estilo deseado. Dependiendo de la textura del
cabello, puede que sea necesario repetir el proceso
varias veces en algunas secciones.

MANTENIMIENTO
Su aparato requiere poco mantenimiento. No
necesita lubricaciĂłn. Mantenga todas las
aberturas libres de polvos y pelusas. Cuando sea
necesario limpiarlo, desenchĂșfelo, permita que se
enfríe y limpie la superficie exterior con un paño
humedecido. En caso de mal funcionamiento,
desenchufe el aparato, permita que se enfrĂ­e y
regréselo a un centro de servicio autorizado. No
trate de reparar este producto.
PRECAUCIÓN
NUNCA jale, retuerza ni doble mucho el cable. Nunca
lo enrolle con fuerza alrededor del aparato; esto puede
dañar la junta flexible que lo conecta al aparato,
produciendo su rotura o un cortocircuito. Revise el
cable con frecuencia para asegurarse de que no estĂĄ
dañado. Deje de usar el aparato inmediatamente si
el cable estå visiblemente dañado o si el aparato
deja de funcionar o funciona de manera intermitente.
ALMACENAJE
