automatically stop steaming when the temperature is too low in order to
prevent water from dripping out of the soleplate.
2. With the anti-drip system, you can iron even the most delicate of fabrics.
AUTO SHUT-OFF
An electronic safety device will automatically switch the heating element OFF
if the Steam Iron has not been moved for more than 30 seconds in a horizontal
position. If in a vertical position, this will happen after 8 minutes. To indicate that
the heating element has been switched OFF, the indicator light (13) will start
blinking.
1. When the Steam Iron is picked up again the indicator light will stop
blinking. The indicator light will illuminate to indicate that the Steam Iron
is heating up again.
2. Wait for the indicator to turn OFF. The Steam Iron will be ready for use
once again.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The self cleaning (12) feature cleans the inside of the ceramic soleplate (14);
thereby removing impurities.
We recommend using it every 10-15 days.
1. Set the steam control dial (3) to the OFF position (no steam).
2. Fill the transparent water tank (11) to the MAX lling level.
3. Set the temperature control dial (10) to the MAX heat temperature.
4. Plug the Steam Iron into the mains electrical supply.
5. Place the Steam Iron upright on a level, sturdy surface.
6. Wait for the indicator light (9) to turn red.
7. Unplug the Steam Iron from the mains electrical supply.
8. Hold the Steam Iron in a horizontal position over a sink.
9. Press the self cleaning button (12) down until the boiling water, steam and
impurities come out of the holes in the soleplate.
10. When the ceramic soleplate has cooled down, wipe it with a damp cloth.
STORAGE
1. After using, lift the Steam Iron with the lling hole pointing downwards to
empty the remaining water from the water tank.
2. Insert the plug into the electrical socket, and set the temperature control
dial to MAX for 1-2 minutes to evaporate the remaining water. Thereafter
unplug the Steam Iron from the mains electrical supply and allow it to cool
down completely before storing.
WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
The warranty will not be valid if:
1. The product has not been installed, operated or maintained in accordance with the
manufacturer’s operating instructions provided with the product.
2. The product has been used for any purpose other than its intended function.
3. The damage or malfunction of the product is caused by any of the following:
• Incorrect voltage
• Accidents (including liquid or moisture damage)
• Misuse or abuse of the product
• Faulty or improper installation
• Mains supply problems, including power spikes or lightning damage
• Infestation by insects
• Tampering or modication of the product by persons other than authorised
service personnel
• Exposure to abnormally corrosive materials
• Insertion of foreign objects into the unit
• Used with accessories not pre-approved by Brabantia

STEAM IRONING
1. Place the Steam Iron in a vertical position, insert the plug into the mains
electrical supply and set the temperature control dial (10) at the minimum/
low heat setting.
2. Turn the temperature control dial to the MAX heat marking. The indicator
light (9) will illuminate green indicating that the Steam Iron is heating up.
3. When the indicator light turns red, the required temperature has been
reached and the Steam Iron is ready to use.
4. During the ironing cycle the indicator light on the Steam Iron will alternate
between red and green as the thermostat maintains the set temperature
(you may continue ironing during this process).
5. Steam is produced as soon as the Steam Iron is held horizontally.
SPRAYING
1. Press the spray button (4) to spray water on clothes as often as required.
NOTE: WHEN USING THE WATER SPRAY FUNCTION, ENSURE THAT THERE
IS ENOUGH WATER IN THE WATER TANK. YOU MAY HAVE TO PUMP THE
SPRAY BUTTON SEVERAL TIMES THE FIRST TIME IN ORDER TO START THE
SPRAYING FUNCTION.
BURST OR VERTICAL STEAM
1. Press the burst of steam button (5) to generate a powerful burst of steam
in order to penetrate the fabric and smooth the toughest creases. Wait for
a few seconds before pressing again.
2. By pressing the burst of steam button at intervals you can also iron
vertically (curtains; hung garments, etc.).
NOTE: THE BURST OF STEAM FUNCTION CAN ONLY BE USED ON THE HIGH
TEMPERATURE SETTING.
DRY IRONING
1. For ironing without steam/ dry ironing, follow the same instructions as
when steam ironing but turn the steam control dial (3) to the OFF position
(no steam).
ANTI-CALC SYSTEM
1. A special lter inside the transparent water tank (11) softens the water and
prevents scale build-up in the soleplate. The lter is permanent and does
not need replacement.
NOTE: USE TAP WATER ONLY. DISTILLED AND DEMINERALIZED WATER
MAKES THE ANTI-CALC SYSTEM INEFFECTIVE BY ALTERING ITS PHYSICO-
CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS.
ANTI-DRIP SYSTEM
1. This Steam Iron is equipped with a ‘drip-stop’ function: the Steam Iron will
place the user at risk.
23. When handing this product over to a third party, ensure that this instruction
manual is supplied with the appliance.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Please read through the following safety precautions carefully before switching
ON the Steam Iron.
1. Keep this instruction manual in a safe place for future reference. Keep the
sales receipt and, if possible, the gift box with the inner packaging.
2. Failure to follow all the instructions listed may result in electric shock, re
or serious personal injury.
3. Before plugging the Steam Iron into the mains electrical supply, check that
the voltage and power supply comply with the specications indicated on
the rating plate of the appliance.
4. The Steam Iron is not intended for use for by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
5. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack
of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved.
6. Always place the Steam Iron on a stable, at, heat-resistant surface. Ensure
that the surface can take the weight of the unit during use and also when
the Steam Iron is resting on its stand.
7. The Steam Iron is intended for DOMESTIC USE ONLY and should not be
used for commercial purposes.
8. Always keep the Steam Iron out of the reach of children. Close adult
supervision is necessary when the Steam Iron is used by or near children.
Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water or steam.
9. Do not leave the Steam Iron unattended when in use or when connected to
the mains electrical supply.
10. Unplug the Steam Iron from the mains electrical supply:
• Before cleaning
• Before lling with water or emptying the water tank
• Immediately after use
• While it is being repaired
11. Do not relocate or store the Steam Iron while it is operating or while it is
connected to the mains electrical supply.
12. Do not operate the Steam Iron if the plug or power cord have been
damaged, or if it is not working properly.
13. The Steam Iron is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible
signs of damage or if it is leaking.
14. Check the Steam Iron power cord regularly for damage. If the power cord is
damaged in any way, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service
agent or a similarly qualied person in order to avoid an electrical hazard.
15. Do not allow the power cord to hang over sharp table edges or come into
contact with hot surfaces.
16. To prevent the risk of electrical shock, never immerse the power cord, plug,
or any non-removable parts of this Steam Iron in water or any other liquid.
17. The Steam Iron base must not be submerged in water, as any contact with
water will cause a malfunction and/ or an electric shock. Do not use the
appliance with wet hands.
18. Do not use the Steam Iron outdoors.
19. Always switch the power OFF before removing the plug from the mains
electrical supply.
20. To unplug the Steam Iron, grasp the plug rmly and remove it from the
mains electrical supply. DO NOT PULL ON THE CORD.
21. Never use the Steam Iron if it is damaged in any way.
22. All repairs should be done by a qualied electrician. Improper repairs may

BEFORE FIRST USE
1. It is normal for a small amount of smoke to be produced the rst time the
Steam Iron is used. This will disappear quickly.
2. When using the STEAM function for the rst time, do not direct the steam
towards the laundry, as there may be a small amount of debris residue in
the steam vents.
FILLING WITH WATER
1. Make sure that both the steam control dial (3) and temperature control dial
(10) are in the OFF position.
2. Hold the Steam Iron upright so that the water lling inlet (2) is in a
horizontal position.
3. Fill the water tank (11) through the water lling inlet until the water
reaches the MAX lling level. Do not exceed the MAX lling level.
SETTING THE TEMPERATURE
Follow the ironing instructions on the garment label. However, if there are
no instructions but you know the type of fabric, please consult the following
guidelines:
NOTE: IF THE FABRIC CONSISTS OF VARIOUS KINDS OF FABRICS, ALWAYS
SELECT THE TEMPERATURE REQUIRED BY THE MOST DELICATE FABRICS.
