La tour Eiﬀel

The Eiﬀel Tower (La tour Eiﬀel) is the famous, iron lattice structure

located on the Champ de Mars in Paris, France. It is named after the

engineer, Gustave Eiﬀel, whose company designed and built the tower

as the entrance to the 1889 Exposition Universelle, or World’s Fair. The

tower is one of the most recognizable structures in the world and has

become an iconic symbol of both Paris and France.

La tour Eiﬀel est la célèbre structure en treillis métallique située sur

le Champ-de-Mars à Paris. Elle doit son nom à l’ingénieur Gustave

Eiﬀel, dont l’entreprise a conçu et construit la Tour comme entrée de

l’Exposition universelle de 1889. La Tour est l’une des plus célèbres

structures du monde et est devenu un symbole de Paris et de la France.
