Getting Started
Idenfy all the parts packaged in the carton against the parts list. Remove all protecve
materials and place parts on a non-abrasive surface to avoid scratching. Please contact our
customer service center (Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM ET) at 1855 399 9415.
Cauon
Read all the instrucons before assembly. Failure to do so may result in faulty assembly and
potenal injury! Assemble product on a so, non-abrasive surface such as carpet or cardboard
to avoid damaging the item. Seek assistance to assemble bulky or heavy items. Aer nal
alignments, make sure all bolts and nuts are securely ghtened with screw covers pressed in
place.

1. Keep children and bystanders away while operang a power tool. Distracons cause a loss of
control.
2. The charger’s plug must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any
adapter plugs with grounded power tools. Unmodied plugs and matching outlets will reduce
risk of electric shock.
3. Use personal protecve equipment. Always wear eye protecon. Protecve equipment
such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protecon used for appropriate
condions will reduce personal injuries.
4. Before using the machine and aer any impact, check for signs of wear or damage, and repair
as necessary.
5. Remove or disconnect the baery before servicing, cleaning or removing material from the
machine.

1. WORK AREA SAFETY
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluered or dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of
ammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust
or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operang a power tool. Distracons cause a
loss control.of
2. ELECTRICAL SAFETY
a) The charger’s plug must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not
use any adapter plugs with grounded power tools. Unmodied plugs and matching
outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
b) Use this baery-operated tool only with its specically designated baery pack. The
use of any other baeries may create a risk of re.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet condions. Water entering a power tool will
increase the risk of electric shock.
d) A baery-operated tool with integrated baery or a separate baery pack must be
recharged only with the manufacturer specied charger for the baery. A charger that
may be suitable for one type of baery may create a risk of re when used with another
baery.
3. PERSONAL SAFETY
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operang a power
tool. Do not use a power tool while red or under the inuence of drugs, alcohol or
medicaon. A moment of inaenon while operang power tools may result in serious
personal injury.
b) Use personal protecve equipment. Always wear eye protecon. Protecve equipment
such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protecon used for
appropriate condions will reduce personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintenonal starng. Ensure the switch is in the o-posion before
connecng to power source, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with
your nger on the switch or plugging in power tools that have the switch on invites
accidents.

d) Remove any adjusng key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key le
aached to a rotang part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper foong and balance at all mes. This enables beer control of
the power tool in unexpected situaons.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing, neckes, or jewelry that can get caught and draw
you into moving parts. Work gloves and nonskid footwear are recommended when working
outdoors. Also wear protecve hair covering to contain long hair.
g) Protect your hearing. Wear hearing protecon during extended periods of operaon.
h)Keep hands and feet away from the cung area.
4. OPERATOR SAFETY
a) Wear protecve glasses or goggles.
b) Never allow children or people unfamiliar with the instrucons to use the machine.
c) Stop using the machine while people, especially children, or pets are nearby.
d) Only use the machine in daylight or good arcial light.
e) Before using the machine and aer any impact, check for signs of wear or damage, and repair
as necessary.
f) Never operate the machine with damaged guards or without the guards in place.
g) Keep hands and feet away from the cung head at all mes.
h) Take care against injury from any device ed for trimming the lament line length. Aer
extending new cuer line always return the machine to its normal operang posion before
switching on.
i) Never modify machine for use with metal cung elements.
j) Never use replacement parts or accessories not provided or recommended by the
manufacturer.
k) Always ensure that machine’s venlaon openings are kept clear of debris.
5. BATTERY SAFETY RULES
a) Do not charge baery in rain or wet locaons.
b) Do not use baery-powered appliance in the rain.
c) Remove or disconnect the baery before servicing, cleaning or removing material from the
gardening appliance.
d) Do not dispose of the baery in a re, the cell may explode. Check with local codes for
possible special disposal instrucons.
e) Do not open or mulate the baery. Released electrolyte is corrosive and may cause damage
to the eyes or skin. It may be toxic if swallowed.
f) Exercise care in handling baeries. Be careful not to short the baery with conducng
materials such as rings, bracelets and keys. The baery or conductor may overheat and cause
burns.

g) Be aware of your work environment. Baeries can explode in the presence of a source of
ignion, such as a pilot light. To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, never use any cordless
product in the presence of open ame. An exploded baery can propel debris and chemicals. If
exposed, ush with water immediately.
h) Do not crush, drop or damage baery pack. Do not use a baery pack or charger that has
been dropped or received a sharp blow. A damaged baery is subject to explosion. Properly
dispose of a dropped or damaged baery immediately.
i) Proper charging temperature. For best results, baery pack should be charged in a locaon
where the temperature is between 41°F and 104°F (5°C to 40°C). Charging me will increase if
the baery is charged in lower or higher temperature than specied.
j) Pay aenon to baery leakage. Under extreme usage or temperature condions, baery
leakage may occur. If baery liquid comes in contact with your skin, wash immediately with soap
and water, then neutralize with lemon juice or vinegar. If liquid gets into your eyes, ush them
with clean water for at least 10 minutes and, seek immediate medical aenon. Following this
rule will reduce the risk of serious personal injury.
6. CHARGER SAFETY RULES
a) Do not place any object on top of charger or place the charger on a so surface that might
block the venlaon slots and result in excessive internal heat. Place the charger in a posion
away from any heat source. The charger is venlated through slots in the top and the boom of
the housing.
b) Do not mount charger on wall or permanently ax charger to any surface. The charger is
intended to be used on a at, stable surface (i.e. table top, bench top).
c) Do not operate charger with damaged cord or plug have those replaced immediately.
d) Do not operate charger if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped, or otherwise damaged
in any way. Take it to an authorized service center.
e) Do not disassemble charger. Take it to an authorized service center when service or repair is
required. Incorrect reassembly may result in a risk of electric shock, electrocuon or re.
f) Disconnect the charger from the outlet before aempng any cleaning. This will reduce the
risk of electric shock. Removing the baery pack will not reduce this risk.
g) NEVER aempt to connect two or more chargers together.
h) The charger is designed to operate on standard house hold electrical power (120 Volts). Do
not aempt to use it on any other voltage.

Assembly
-The cord, charger and baery pack can be leconnected with the green LED indenitely. The
charger will keep the baery pack fresh and fully charged.
-The best storage place is one that is cool and dry away from direct sunlight and excess heat or
cold.
Note: The baery pack needs to be charged before rst use and whenever it is unable to
perform jobs with sucient power that were easily done previously. Recharge discharged
baeries as soon as possible aer use or baery life may be greatly diminished.
For best results, baery pack should be charged in a locaon where the temperature is between
41°F and 104°F (5°C to 40°C). Charging me will increase if the baery is charged in lower or
higher temperature than specied.
The adapter, charger and baery pack maybe become warm when charging which is a normal
condion.
3. Assemble the guard (Fig. 3 & 4)
WARNING: Remove the baery pack before aempng to aach the guard. Never operate the
tool without guard rmly in place. The guard must always be on the tool to protect the user.
-Push the head rotaon pedal to rotate the cung head to vercal posion, rotate the edge
guard forward to working posion.
-Turn the trimmer upside down so that you are looking down at the spool cap.
-Turn the guard upside down and put it on the motor housing.
-Insert and ghten the screw provided to complete the guard assembly.

Maintenance
WARNING! Always ensure that the tool is switched o and the baer is removed from tool
before making any adjustments or performing maintenance procedures.
WARNING! Use only original manufacturers replacement parts, accessories and
aachments. Failure to do so can cause possible injury and poor
performance.
Maintenance and Cleaning
1. Always remove the baery from the tool before doing any maintenance or cleaning work.
2. For safe and proper working, always keep the tool and venlaon slots clean.
3. Regularly check to see if any dust or foreign material has entered the slots near the motor
and around the on/o switch.
4. Use a so brush to remove any accumulated dust.
5. Wear safety glasses to protect your eyes while cleaning.
6. If the body of the tool needs cleaning, wipe it with a so damp cloth.
WARNING! Do not use cleaning agents to clean the plasc parts of the tool. A mild
detergent on a damp cloth is recommended. Water must never come into
contact with the tool.
7. Never use causc agents to clean plasc parts.
8. Lubricate all moving parts at regular intervals.
9. When not in use, the machine should be stored indoors in a dry, locked up place—out of the
reach of children and untrained users.
