A. POWER: Turns ampliîer on and oî.
B. MUTE: Mutes output to speakers. When in MUTE mode, XLR line
output remains active for studio or silent stage use, and POWER
JEWEL (C) illumination changes from red to amber.
C. POWER JEWEL: Illuminates red when ampliîer is on; îashes
between red and amber during power up, and illuminates amber
in MUTE mode (B).
D. REVERB
: Adjusts reverb eîect level. Reverb is bypassed when
control is turned fully counterclockwise. Reverb can also be turned
on and oî using included two-button footswitch
.
E. PRESENCE: Adjusts ultra-high frequency response to add a
special high-end âsparkleâ to the înal output sound.
F. MIDDLE: Adjusts midrange response.
G. BASS: Adjusts bass response. At higher volume settings, lower
this knobâs setting to reduce speaker âîapâ.
H. TREBLE: Adjusts treble response.
I. BRIGHT CHANNEL VOLUME: Adjusts bright channel loudness.
J. NORMAL CHANNEL VOLUME: Adjusts normal channel
loudness.
K. BRIGHT CHANNEL INPUTS: Connect instrument here. Input 1
produces full sensitivity; input 2 has adjusted sensitivity (-6dB)
for slightly darker tone and cleaner response with high-gain
instruments. The bright channel produces extra treble boost
when the BRIGHT CHANNEL VOLUME control (I) is set at less than
60 precent.
L. NORMAL CHANNEL INPUTS: Connect instrument here. Input 1
produces full sensitivity; input 2 has adjusted sensitivity (-6dB)
for slightly darker tone and cleaner response with high-gain
instruments.
The Tone Master Bassman ampliîer uses massive digital processing
power to achieve a single remarkable sonic feat: faithfully modeling
the circuitry and 45-watt power output of an original-era Bassman
tube amp. Using a high-performance digital power amp to achieve the
headroom and dynamic range of a real vintage Bassman tube amp,
paired with the power and clarity of four JensenÂź P10R alnico speakers
and a resonant înger-jointed pine cabinet, the result is tubeless
Bassman tone, volume and dynamics virtually indistinguishable from
the all-tube original. And with all these features, the Tone Master
Bassman weighs substantially less than an all-tube Bassman.
Control panel features give guitarists a playing experience identical
to the tube version, with the modern addition of Fenderâs world-
standard spring-reverb sound. Additional features deliver modern
convenience and îexibilityâincluding an output power selector for
full power and îve attenuated settings, balanced XLR line output with
impulse response (IR) cabinet simulations, mute switch for silent stage
or recording use, USB port for îrmware upgrades and, in a special
Tone Master îrst, an eîects loop with footswitch-operated bypass.

REAR PANEL
M. OUTPUT POWER
: Selector switch oîers full power (45 watts) and
îve other attenuated wattage settings (22W, 12W, 5W, 1W, 0.5W)
that tailor room/venue overall loudness to the main speakers. Set
control panel channel volume to personal preference for tube-
emulated response, then set OUTPUT POWER to preferred level.
N. VINTAGE/TIGHT SWITCH: Selects negative feedback of virtual
power amp. VINTAGE is accurate to the â59 Bassman tube circuit;
TIGHT increases damping of the virtual power amp for tighter
low-end response.
O. CABINET SIM SWITCH: Selects the impulse response when using
XLR BALANCED LINE OUTPUT (R). Switch oîers three diîerent
impulse response options. Additional information available at
https://support.fender.com.
P. BALANCED LINE OUTPUT LEVEL: Adjusts output from mic to
line level to XLR BALANCED LINE OUTPUT (R) for external devices
and systems (i.e., PA and recording equipment). When set to â1â,
the maximum level is -5dBu, which may be âhotâ for external mic
level inputs; connecting to line input level or activating mic input
pad for lowest noise performance is recommended.
Q. GROUND LIFT SWITCH: Helps eliminate hum or buzz resulting
from connection to improperly grounded equipment when using
XLR BALANCED LINE OUTPUT (R).
R. XLR BALANCED LINE OUTPUT: For balanced connection to
external devices and systems (i.e., PA and recording equipment).
XLR line output remains active when amp is in MUTE mode (B).
S. USB PORT: Connect to a Mac or PC using a USB-C cable to perform
îrmware updates.
T. RECOVER/FIRMWARE UPDATE BUTTONS: Upper button is for
use by authorized Fender service personnel only; lower button
activates îrmware update mode (when available with instructions
at https://support.fender.com).
U. FOOTSWITCH JACK: Connect included two-button footswitch for
reverb and eîect loop bypass here. Note: REVERB (D) and EFFECTS
LOOP (V) default to ON when footswitch is disconnected.
V. EFFECTS LOOP/CLIPPING INDICATOR: Connect external eîects
using TRS or standard TS 1/4â instrument cables. Connect amp
SEND to external eîect input and amp RETURN to external eîect
output. Eîects loop can also be turned on and oî (bypassed)
using the included two-button footswitch. Clipping indicator LED
illuminates red when eîects RETURN is too âhotâ and clipping is
occurring. Note that the eîects loop is located in the signal path
between the amp and reverb models:
W. IEC POWER INLET (NOT SHOWN): Using the included power
cord, connect to a grounded outlet in accordance with the input
power voltage and frequency speciîed at the power inlet.
