1. GENERAL FEATURES
HD32.3 is designed for:
โ€ข Analysis of hot environments through WBGT index (Wet Bulb Globe Temperature) in pres-
ence or absence of solar radiation.
โ€ข Analysis of moderate environments through PMV index (Predicted Mean Vote) and PPD in-
dex (Predicted Percentage of Dissatisfied).
The instrument is provided with three inputs for probes with SICRAM module: the probes have an
electric circuit that communicates with the instrument; the sensor calibration data are saved in its
permanent memory.
All the SICRAM probes can be inserted in one of the inputs: they are automatically recognized
when you switch the instrument on.
The main features of the instrument are:
โ€ข Logging: acquisition and memorization of data inside the instrument. Memory capacity: 64
different logging sections, with the possibility to set the acquisition interval of the samples.
You can set the duration of the memorization and, with auto-start function; itโ€™s possible
to set the starting and finishing date and the hour of data memorization.
โ€ข The measurement unit of the temperature visualized sizes: ยฐC, ยฐF, ยฐK.
โ€ข The system date and hour.
โ€ข The visualization of the maximum, minimum and medium statistic parameters and their
cancellation.
โ€ข The transfer speed of the data through the serial port RS232.
NOTE: The set acquisition interval is the same for all the probes connected to the instrument.
HD32.3 instrument can contemporarily detect the following sizes:
โ€ข Globe thermometer temperature Tg with TP3276.2 TP3275 or probe.
โ€ข Wet bulb temperature with natural ventilation Tn with HP3201.2, HP3201 or TP3204S
probe.
โ€ข Ambient temperature T with TP3207.2 TP3207 or probe.
โ€ข Relative Humidity RH and ambient temperature T with HP3217.2 or HP3217R probe.
โ€ข Air speed Va with or AP3203.2 AP3203 probe.
On the basis of the detected measurements, HD32.3 with TP3207.2 (or (or TP3207), HP3276.2
HP3275) and HP3201.2 (or HP3201 / TP3204S) can calculate:
โ€ข WBGT(in) index (Wet Bulb Glob Temperature: wet bulb and globe thermometer tempera-
ture) in absence of solar irradiation.
โ€ข WBGT(out) index (Wet Bulb Glob Temperature: wet bulb and globe thermometer tempera-
ture) in presence of solar irradiation.
On the basis of the detected measurements, HD32.3 with HP3217.2 (or HP3217R), HP3276.2 (or
HP3275) and AP3203.2 (or AP3203) probes can calculate:
โ€ข Medium radiant temperature Tr.
โ€ข PMV index (Predicted Mean Vote).
โ€ข PPD index (Predicted Percentage of Dissatisfied).
