he M185 is a Pressure ZPZ one Micro-
phone ® for general- r e pu pos use. Ideal for
a

cations such as conferences, gr oup
discussi , intervieons ws, broadcast, home video
pr , lectures, and reoduc onti cordings. The mic
can be placed on a large rface h as su suc a
table, floor, wall, or lectern.
The M185 is ered ePZ pow ither by an internal
AAA 1.5V battery or -48 12 volt antom erph pow .
The boundary paddle can be detached so the
mic will t in fi your pocket. Attached to the mic is
an 8-f t (2. -m) cable l ding to a t laoo 438 ea ubu r
power module.
The micr eophon s l -prole design reow duces

pick up of vibration and handling noise.

PZM185 es a miniature mic capsulus e
mounted very near a sound-reflecting plate or
boundary in the Pressure Zone. In this zone,

You can er the M185 epow PZ ither by -12 48
volt antom er or baph pow ttery er. To pow use

power, plug the mic connector into a

power supply or into a mic i t thanpu t
pr ides ov 12-48 volt phantom power.
To use battery power, open the cover
(see Fig. 3) and i ert a A 1.5V bans AA ttery.
