INTRODUCTION
This Universal Remote Control can operate up to six types of devices: Televisions (TV), Video Cas-
sette Recorders (VCR), Satellite (SAT), Digital Video Disc players (DVD), Cable view (CAB) and Audio
Devices (AUD).
See the diagram to familiarize yourself with the features of this remote control. You may also need to
review the operating manual of your original remote to refresh yourself on the functions of this unit.
Please read the operating instruction thoroughly before use.
FUNCTION KEYS
1. LED blinks to show that the remote control is working.LED
2. POWER Switch the device ON/OFF.
3. Turn ON/OFF the sound.Mute
4. , , TV VCR SAT, CAB DVD, , or AUD Press once to select a home
entertainment component to control.
5. Red/Green/Yellow/Blue Fasttext function.
6. / Slow Backward / Forward.
7. Use SET key for all programming sequences.SET
8. KEYPAD 0-9 Use the keypad to directly enter channels.
The keypad is also used for all programming sequences, such as entering
your programming codes.
9. VOL+/VOL- Control the volume of the devices. (It will be void for VCR)
10. Control the channel of the devices.CH+/CH-
11. INPUT/TV-VCR Select TV or VCR.
12. Store the new code and exit when programming the remote.OK
13. Access the menu of your chosen component.MENU
14. GO BACK Go back to the previous operation.
15. / : Fast Backward/ Forward (For VCR and DVD).
16. Play (For VCR and DVD).
17. Pause (For VCR and DVD).
18. Stop (For VCR and DVD).
19. Record (For VCR).
ABOUT THE TELETEXT
It may be necessary for you to refer back to the
manual of your television for a detailed explana-
tion of the teletext. Please note teletext features
are controlled differently in different television.
Therefore, not all of the teletext functions may be
available for your particular model.
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Open the BATTERY COMPARTMENT on the
back of the remote by pressing the tab on the
BATTERY COMPARTMENT cover to remove
the compartment door.
2. Insert 2 AAA batteries, ensuring they are
placed in accordance with the polarity indica-
tors inside the compartment.
3. Close the BATTERY COMPARTMENT by
replacing the compartment door and securing
with the tab.
Note: To check that the batteries are correctly
installed, press the POWER button, the LED
should illuminate, if it does not illuminate, reinstall
the batteries.
BATTERY HANDLING AND USAGE
WARNING: Only adults should handle batteries.
Do not allow a child to use this product unless the
Battery Compartment Cover is securely attached
to the Battery Compartment in accordance with
all product usage instructions.
• Follow the battery manufacturer’s safety and
usage instructions.
• Keep batteries away from children and pets.
• Do not mix a used battery with a new battery, or
mix different chemistries or sizes of batteries.
• Insert the batteries observing the proper
polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the battery
compartment. Failure to properly align the
battery polarity can cause personal injury and/
or property damage.
• Remove spent or discharged batteries from
the product. Remove the batteries when not
using the device for an extended period.
• Never throw batteries into a fi re. Do not expose
batteries to fi re or other heat sources.
• Dispose or recycle spent/discharged batter-
ies in compliance with all applicable laws. For
detailed information, contact your local solid
waste authority.
