Memory Card Reader Dongle - Micro USB On-The-Go

Introduction

The memory card reader dongle enables you to connect your

portable devices with USB OTG, such as a smartphone or a tablet, to

a wide variety of memory cards including SD cards, Micro SD cards,

USB ash drives, or HDDs.

Use the memory card reader

To access the data stored on your SD card, Micro SD card, or USB

ash drive, complete the following:

1. Depending on the type of memory card that you’re using, insert

the memory card in the appropriate slot on the memory card

reader.

2. Connect the integrated Micro USB 2.0 cable on the memory card

reader to the Micro USB port on your portable device, such as a

smartphone or tablet.

3. Access the stored data on the connected portable device.

Note: The memory card reader doesn’t require a power source for

standard card reader operations.

Connect a USB peripheral device

1. Connect the USB cable from the peripheral device to the USB A

port on the memory card reader.

2. Connect a Micro USB cable (not included) to the power source

port on the card reader to an available USB power source.

3. If you require additional power, connect the integrated Micro USB

2.0 cable on the memory card reader to the Micro USB port on

your portable device, such as a smartphone or tablet.

About the LED indicators

The memory card reader has two LED indicators located on the top

of the unit. For more information about what the LEDs indicate,

consult the tables below.

Yellow power LED

LED behavior Signies

LED is not illuminated There is no power source connected to

the memory card reader.

LED is illuminated A power source is connected to the

memory card reader.

Blue link and activity LED

LED behavior Signies

LED is not

illuminated

No memory cards are inserted in the

memory card reader.

LED is illuminated A memory card is inserted in the memory

card reader.

LED is blinking The memory card reader is completing a

process.
