product. The instructions for use are a
part of the product. They contain impor-
tant information about safety, use and
disposal. Before using the product,
please familiarise yourself with all the op-
erating and safety instructions. Only use
the product as described and for the indi-
cated purpose. Keep these instructions in

Intended use
This Bluetooth® speaker is a consumer
electronic device and is intended for
playing audio signals. The built-in micro-
phone further allows the speaker to be
used as a hands-free device for taking or
placing calls. It is designed for private
use and not suitable for commercial pur-
poses. This product is not intended for
medical, life-saving or life-sustaining use.

This chapter provides important safety in-
formation for handing the device. Improp-
er use can result in personal injury and
property damage.
Basic safety notices
Please follow these safety notices for safe
handling of the device:
Check the device for visible external
damage before use. Do not use the
device if damaged or dropped.
Do not expose the device to direct
sunlight or high temperatures. It may

otherwise overheat and be damaged
beyond repair.
Do not operate the product near
heat sources such as radiators or oth-
er devices producing heat.
Do not place burning candles or oth-
er open fire on or next to the speaker.
The speaker may heat during charg-
ing, place the speaker in a well venti-
lated location during charging and
do not cover.
The speaker‘s rechargeable battery
must only be charged in dry environ-
ments, as it is not protected from splash
water. Please also note the instructions
for use from the manufacturer of the
charger.

DANGER Do not attempt to open
the device, it has no internal parts
requiring maintenance.

The speaker has a built-in re-
chargeable lithium polymer
battery. Improper handling of
lithium polymer batteries can
result in fire, explosions, haz-
ardous substances leaking, or
other dangerous situations!
Do not independently convert or
modify the device.
Repairs to the device must be per-
formed by authorised specialised
companies or customer service. Im-
proper repairs may result in

considerable danger to the user.
They will also void the warranty.

Suffocation hazard! Never play
with the packaging materials (e.g.
film or polystyrene). The packaging
material is not a toy.
Keep electrical devices away from
children. Persons with reduced physi-
cal, sensory and mental capabilities
should not use electrical devices, un-
less they are instructed and super-
vised by a competent person. This
loudspeaker is not a toy. Keep the
packaging away from children and
persons with disabilities. There’s the
risk of suffocation.

If you detect smoke, abnormal noises
or smells, immediately switch the
speaker off and disconnect the
USB-cable.
Do not throw the speaker into fire
and do not expose to high tempera-
tures.
Chemicals leaking from a lithium
polymer battery can irritate the skin.
Rinse with plenty of water in the
event of contact with the skin. If the
chemicals come into contact with the
eyes, always rinse with plenty of wa-
ter, do not rub, and seek immediate
medical attention. Take particular
care when handling damaged or

leaking batteries. Risk of injury! Wear
gloves.
Protect the device from moisture and
damp. Never immerse the device in
water or other liquids!

Remove all parts of the device from the
packaging and remove any packaging
materials.
Operation and use
This chapter contains important informa-
tion and operating and using the device.
Charging
The built-in battery rechargeable battery must
be fully charged before using the device.

Always charge the battery in dry
environments.
Switch off the speaker.
Connect the USB plug on the charg-
ing cable 9 to a PC or a USB
adapter (not included).
Connect the micro-USB plug on the
charging cable 9 to the POWER
INPUT jack 7 on the device. The
power and charge LED 10 will light up
red and the battery will be charged.
NOTE
The power and charge LED 10 will
light up red whilst charging and ex-
tinguish once the battery is fully
charged.

The charging time is approx. 2 hours
at a charging current of 500 mA and
provides up to 3 hours of music play-
back. The playback time may vary
by use (volume).
When the battery is drained, 2 signal
tones will sound every 30 seconds
and the battery must be recharged.
You can also use the speaker whilst
charging.
Switching the
speaker on / off
Press and hold the button 1 for
approx. 2 seconds to switch the
speaker on and activate the Bluetooth®
function. Three signal tones will sound

and the power and charge LED will
flash blue.
Press and hold the button 1
again for approx. 2 seconds to
switch the speaker off and disable the
Bluetooth® function. Three signal
tones will sound.
Connecting the speaker
to a Bluetooth® music
device
The speaker must be paired with a com-
patible Bluetooth®
music device before use.
Be sure the speaker is off and the
Bluetooth® music device is on.
Set the Bluetooth® music device to
scan for Bluetooth® devices. Please

refer to the operating instructions
from the manufacturer of your Blue-
tooth® music device for a detailed
description.
Press and hold the button 1 for
approx. 2 seconds to switch the
speaker on and activate the Bluetooth®
function. Three signal tones will sound
and the power and charge LED will
flash blue at a every half second.
Select the entry HG00286 from the
l
ist of devices found by your Bluet
ooth®
music device and enter the code
“0000“, if necessary, to pair the de-
vices. The power and charge LED will
now flash blue every 3 seconds and

a melody will play when connected a
Bluetooth® music device.
When the speaker is successfully paired
you can use it for wireless playback of
your favourite music.
NOTE
After switching on, the speaker will
automatically reconnect to the last
Bluetooth® music device. If your Blue-
tooth® music device does not recon-
nect to the speaker, you will need to
manually restore the connection to
your Bluetooth®
music device. Please
refer to the operating instructions
from the manufacturer of your

Using the buttons

Press twice to redial the last
number on the mobile.

reject the call when there is
incoming call.

pends on the used player and / or
mobile phone.

Cleaning
ATTENTION
Potential damage to the device
Moisture entering the device may result
in damage.
Ensure no moisture enters the device
during cleaning to prevent damaging
the device beyond repair.
Do not use corrosive or scouring clean-
ers or cleaners containing solvents.
These can damage the surface of the
device.
Only clean the device with a slightly
damp cloth and mild washing-up liquid.

Store the device in a dry location from
from dust, protected from direct sunlight.
Troubleshooting
If you‘re unable to pair the device with a
compatible Bluetooth® music device,
please proceed as follows:
Verify the function is enabled on the
music device.
Verify the speaker is switched on.
When using multiple music devices,
be sure to disconnect a previous con-
nection. A previously paired device
could still be within range.

Ensure the speaker is no more than
10 metres from the music device and
there are no obstacles or electronics
in the way.
Disposal
Disposing of the device
The adjacent symbol of a
crossed out dustbin on wheels
indicates this device is subject
to Directive 2012 / 19 / EU. This directive
states at the end of the life this device
must not be disposed of through regular
household refuse but must be returned to
special collection sites, recycling depots
or waste management companies.

The built-in battery cannot be removed
for disposal.
This disposal is free of charge to
you. Protect the environment and
dispose properly.
Please contact your local waste manage-
ment company or the city / municipal ad-
ministration for more information.
Disposing of the packaging
The packaging protects the device from
transport damage.
The packaging materials were selected
based on eco-friendly and waste

management aspects and are therefore
recyclable.
Returning the packaging to the
material flow reduces the use
of raw materials and waste.
Dispose of packaging materials which
are no longer needed according to appli-
cable local ordinances.
