Unpack products and check contents against the list below. Should there be any damaged or missing parts contact your
supplier immediately. Some actions described in 3.2-3.4 may not be required if already assembled.
 DO NOT use the roof box if any parts are missing or damaged as this may cause failure or possible personal injury.
 WARNING! Due to the variety in design of vehicles, it is the users full responsibility to ensure no damage occurs whilst fitting. Correct
attachment of the roof box to a vehicle is critical and is beyond the control of the manufacturer, distributor, or supplier.
 WARNING! The user must secure the roof box, checking the security frequently when in use.
WARNING! Avoid any protrusions beyond the side of the car as these may present a risk of injury to passers-by.
 DO NOT use the roof box for any purpose other than for which it is designed.
 WARNING! Drive carefully, - Be aware of cross winds, sudden braking or hard cornering, reduce speed accordingly when using roof
box. Recommended maximum speed is 130km/h.
 WARNING! This roof box is designed for temporary use only, remove when not in use and before going through a car wash.
Before every use check the roof box for security of fittings or any sign of wear and tear. Replace any worn or damaged parts.
 Check the load is stable and uniformly distributed before transit. Use the supplied luggage straps.
 Be cautious of the load height and restrictions due to car park height barriers you may encounter.
 WARNING! Be wary of parts of the roofbox protruding from the boundaries of the vehicle, especially the tailgate sweep.
 WARNING! Be wary of gusts of wind when installing, two people recommended.
 DO NOT exceed the weight limit stated in the roof box specifications.
 WARNING! Remember the driver of the vehicle is responsible for the security and safety of the load carried.
 WARNING! Warnings and cautions in this manual cannot cover all possible situations. It must be understood that common
sense and cautions are factors which cannot be built into this product, but must be applied by the user.

The RB320E, RB420E & RB480E Roof boxes are manufactured from HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene) for strength, looks and durability. All
three models are finished in stylish gloss black and benefit from twin point central locking on RB320E & RB420E and triple point central
locking on RB480E. All are supplied with 70mm wide U-Bolts for fitting to most common size roof bars.
3.1. Unlock the cover safety lock (fig.1).
3.2. Align the hinge positions and place the cover (item 2) over the base (item 1) of the roofbox. Using the supplied key (item 3), lock the
cover to the base, turning the key anticlockwise (fig.2). Make a note of the key serial number.
3.3. Insert the hinge pivot pins (item 4) full depth (fig.3). Thumb pressure should be adequate.
3.4. Unlock the cover and open fully enabling fitting of the spring loaded latches (fig.4). Thumb pressure should be adequate to connect the
ball and socket pivot joint.
3.5. To close the cover, apply equal pressure with hands near to opposite ends.

The following instructions assume the roof rails are already installed on the vehicle and the roof bars can be adjusted to suit the roof box. The
roof bars must be rectangular in section, or offer two flat parallel faces top and bottom, for clamping successfully (fig.5).
4.1. Take some steps to plan the position of the roof bars by measurement of the available holes in the base of the roof box. If additional
holes are required in the roof box base, the box must be fixed to the front existing holes. New holes must be punched for the rear bar.
4.2. Place the completed box on to the roof bars, on the centre line of the vehicle ensuring the tailgate will not foul the roof box (fig.6).
4.3. Fix the roof box (fig.7) to the bars inserting the "U" bolts (item 5) beneath the bars and through the pre-punched holes in the roof box
base.
4.4. Place the clamp plates (item 6) over the "U" bolts and secure with the clamp knobs (item 7) hand tight. use tools.DO NOT
4.5. Secure the roof bars to the roof rails with its proprietory fixings.
4.6. Unused holes in the base of the roof box must be sealed with the supplied self adhesive patches (item9).
4.7. Insert the luggage straps (item 8) through the slot of the clamp plates.

5.1 Release the safety lock (fig.1) and unlock (fig.2) the roofbox cover prior to opening fully against sprung loaded stops (fig.4).
NOTE! The safety lock access, now on the roof of the vehicle, may require the use of steps to reach.
5.2 . Distribute the load evenly over the width and length of the roofbox base. overload, 50kg maximum.DO NOT
5.3. Strap in the contents (fig.8). If possible avoid compartment gaps on the length to minimise inertia movements.
5.4. Close and key lock (fig.2) the roofbox cover. To close the cover, apply equal pressure with hands near to opposite ends. Ensure the
load does not impede closure. Remove and store the key, in the glove box for example.
5.5. Engage the safety lock (fig.1).

6. MAINTENANCE
6.1. Remove from the vehicle when not in use.
6.2. Check all components for integrity, regularly when in use and every time it is removed or fitted. Especially fixing points (fig.7).
6.3. Clean with soap and water. use alcohol or solvents.DO NOT
6.4. Store loose components in the roofbox and key lock.
6.5. Keep the keys safe.
