Still image warning
Avoid displaying still images (like jpeg picture ļ¬les) or still image element (like TV
programme logo, panorama or 4:3 image format, stock or news bar at screen bottom
etc.) on the screen. Constant displaying of still picture can cause ghosting of LED
screen, which will affect image quality. To reduce risk of this effect, please follow below
recommendations:
yAvoid displaying the same TV channel for long periods.
yAlways try to display any image on full screen, use TV set picture format menu for
best possible match.
yReduce brightness and contrast values to minimum required to achieve desired
picture quality, exceeded values may speed up the burnout process.
yFrequently use all TV features designed to reduce image retention and screen
burnout, refer to proper user manual section for details.

horizontally. A magniļ¬ed or shrunk picture can be moved left, right,
up, and down.
āDo not watch in 4:3 format for a long time. Traces of borders displayed on the
left, right and centre of the screen may cause image retention (screen burn)
which are not covered by the warranty.

Auto Volume
Because each broadcasting station has its own signal conditions, the
volume may ļ¬uctuate each time channel is changed. This feature lets you
automatically adjust the volume of the desired channel by lowering the
sound output when the modulation signal is high or by raising the sound
output when the modulation signal is low.
Speaker Select
A sound echo may occur due to a difference in decoding speed between
the main speaker and the audio receiver. In this case, set the TV to
External Speaker.
āWhen you set to , the TVās speakers are Speaker Select External Speaker
turned off. You will hear sound through the external speakers only. When you
set to , both the TVās speakers and the external Speaker Select TV Speaker

Securing the TV to the Wall
Caution: Pulling, pushing, or climbing onto the TV may cause
the TV to fall. In particular, ensure that your children do not hang
over or destabilize the TV; doing so may cause the TV to tip over,

provided on the included Safety Flyer. For added stability, install
the anti-fall device for safety purposes, as follows.
To prevent the TV from falling
āSince the necessary clamps, screws, and string are not supplied, please
purchase these additionally.
1. Put the screws into the clamps and ļ¬rmly fasten them onto the wall.
Conļ¬rm that the screws have been ļ¬rmly installed onto the wall.
āYou may need additional material such as an anchor depending on the type of
wall.
āSince the necessary clamps, screws, and string are not supplied, please
purchase these additionally.
2. Remove the screws from the back Centre of the TV, put the screws
into the clamps, and then fasten the screws onto the TV again.
āScrews may not be supplied with the product. In this case, please purchase the
screws of the following specifications.
3. Connect the clamps ļ¬xed onto the TV and the clamps ļ¬xed onto the
wall with a strong cable and then tie the string tightly.

xInstall the TV near to the wall so that it does not fall backwards.
xIt is safe to connect the string so that the clamps fixed on the wall are equal to
or lower than the clamps fixed on the TV.

The TV image does not look as good as it
did in the store.
yIf you have an analogue cable/set top box, upgrade to a digital set top box. Use HDMI or Component cables to deliver HD
(high deļ¬nition) picture quality.
yAntenna connection: Try HD stations after performing Auto tuning.
āMany HD channels are up scaled from SD(Standard Definition) contents.
yAdjust the Cable/Set top box video output resolution to 1080i or 720p.
yMake sure you are watching the TV at the minimum recommended distance based on the size and deļ¬nition of the signal.
The picture is distorted: macroblock error,
small block, dots, pixelization
yCompression of video contents may cause picture distortion especially in fast moving pictures such as sports and action
movies.
yLow signal level or bad quality can cause picture distortion. This is not a TV issue.
yMobile phones used close to the TV (cca up to 1m) may cause noise in picture on analogue and digital TV.
Colour is wrong or missing.
yIf youāre using a component connection, make sure the component cables are connected to the correct jacks. Incorrect or
loose connections may cause colour problems or a blank screen.
There is poor colour or brightness.

RF(Cable/Antenna) Connection
The TV is not receiving all channels.
yMake sure the Antenna cable is connected securely.
yPlease try (Plug & Play) to add available channels to the channel list. Go to - - (Plug & Play) and Setup MENU System Setup
wait for all available channels to be stored.
yVerify the Antenna is positioned correctly.
The picture is distorted: macroblock error,
small block, dots, pixelization
yCompression of video contents may cause picture distortion, especially on fast moving pictures such as sports and action
movies.
yA low signal can cause picture distortion. This is not a TV issue.
PC Connection
A ā ā message Mode Not Supported
appears.
ySet your PCās output resolution so it matches the resolutions supported by the TV.
The video is OK but there is no audio.
yIf you are using a HDMI connection, check the audio output setting on your PC.
Others
The picture will not display in full screen.
yHD channels will have black bars on either side of the screen when displaying up scaled SD (4:3) contents.
yBlack bars on the top and bottom will appear during movies that have aspect ratios different from your TV.
yAdjust the picture size options on your external device or TV to full screen.
The remote control does not work.
yReplace the remote control batteries with the poles (+/ā) in the right direction.
yClean the transmission window located on the top of the remote control.
yTry pointing the remote directly at the TV from 5~6 feet away.
The cable/set top box remote control does
not turn the TV on or off, or adjust the
volume.
yProgramme the Cable/Set top box remote control to operate the TV. Refer to the Cable/Set top box user manual for the
SAMSUNG TV code.

yCheck the supported resolution of the TV, and adjust the external deviceās output resolution accordingly. Refer to resolution
settings in this manual.
There is a plastic smell from the TV.
yThis smell is normal and will dissipate over time.
TV is tilted to the right or left side.
yRemove the stand base from the TV and reassemble it.
There are difļ¬culties assembling the stand
base.
yMake sure the TV is placed on a ļ¬at surface. It is necessary to use magnetized screw driver if you cannot remove the screws
from the TV.

yCheck and change the signal/source.
A reaction may occur between the rubber
cushion pads on the base stand and the top
ļ¬nish of some furniture.
yTo prevent this, use felt pads on any surface of the TV that comes in direct contact with furniture.

Storage and Maintenance
āIf you remove the attached sticker on the TV screen, clean the residues and then watch TV.

Do not use a ļ¬ammable liquid (e.g. benzene, thinners) or a cleaning agent.
