GENERAL SAFETY RULES
WARNING!
READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS. Fail-
ure to follow all instructions listed below, may result in
electric shock, ïŹre and/or serious personal injury.
WARNING!
When using electric appliances, basic precautions should
always be followed, including the following:
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
WORK AREA
îKeep your work area clean and well lit. Cluttered
benches and dark areas invite accidents.
îKeep bystanders, children, and visitors away while
operating an inïŹator. Distractions can cause you to
lose control.
îOperate inïŹator in an open area at least 18 in. away
from any wall or object that could restrict the ïŹow of
fresh air to ventilation openings.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
îTo reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not put
inïŹator in water or other liquid. Do not place or store
appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
îUse this product only with batteries and chargers
listed in tool/appliance/battery pack/charger correla-
tion supplement 987000-432.
PERSONAL SAFETY
îStay alert, watch what you are doing and use
common sense when operating an inïŹator. Do not use
inïŹator while tired or under the inïŹuence of drugs,
alcohol, or medication. A moment of inattention while
operating inïŹator may result in serious personal injury.
îDress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry.
Contain long hair. Keep your hair and clothing away
from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry, or long hair
can be caught in moving parts.
îDo not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance
at all times. Proper footing and balance enable better
control of the inïŹator in unexpected situations.
îUse safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Dust
mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protec-
tion must be used for appropriate conditions.
îEye protection is required to guard against ïŹying fas-
teners and debris which could cause severe eye injury.
îDo not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Contain long
hair. Loose clothes, jewelry, or long hair can be drawn
into air vents.
îDo not use on a ladder or unstable support. Stable
footing on a solid surface enables better control of the
inïŹator in unexpected situations.
îDo not disassemble the inïŹator.
îDo not operate inïŹator near ïŹammable liquids or in
gaseous or explosive atmospheres. Internal sparks
may ignite fumes.
îDo not store in a damp or wet location. Do not
use, store, or charge battery packs or products in
locations where the temperature is less than 50° F
or more than 100° F. Do not store in outside sheds or
in vehicles.
îUnder abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from
the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally
occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes,
additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the
battery may cause irritation or burns.
îWhen battery pack is not in use, keep it away from
other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails,
screws or other small metal objects, that can make
a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting
the battery terminals together may cause burns or a ïŹre.
INFLATOR USE AND CARE
îDo not use inïŹator if switch does not turn it on or off.
An inïŹator that cannot be controlled with the switch is
dangerous and must be repaired.
îSwitch the tool off before making any adjustments,
changing accessories, or storing the inïŹator. Such
preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting
the inïŹator accidentally.
îStore idle inïŹators out of reach of children and other
untrained persons. InïŹators are dangerous in the hands
of untrained users.
îCheck for misalignment or binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts, and any other condition that may
affect the inïŹatorâs operation. If damaged, have the
inïŹator serviced before using. Many accidents are
caused by poorly maintained tools.
îUse only accessories that are recommended by the
manufacturer for your model. Accessories that may be
suitable for one inïŹator may create a risk of injury when
used on another inïŹator.
îKeep the inïŹator and its handle dry, clean and free
from oil and grease. Always use a clean cloth when
cleaning. Never use brake ïŹuids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, or any strong solvents to clean your
inïŹator. Following this rule will reduce the risk of loss of
control and deterioration of the enclosure plastic.
îNever point any inïŹator toward yourself or others.
îDo not exceed the pressure rating of any component
in the system.

îRisk of bursting. Do not operate inïŹator to result in output
pressure greater than marked maximum pressure of item
to be inïŹated. Do not use at pressure greater than 0.5 PSI.
îTo reduce the risk of electric shock, do not expose to
rain. Store indoors.
îInspect unit for cracks, pin holes, or other imperfec-

Never cut or drill holes in the inïŹator.
îUse the inïŹator only for its intended use. Do not alter
or modify the unit from the original design or function.
îAlways be aware that misuse and improper handling of
this inïŹator can cause injury to yourself and others.
îNever leave an inïŹator unattended with the nozzle
attached to the item being inïŹated.

air or does not function properly.
îAlways disconnect the battery pack before making
adjustments, servicing an inïŹator, or when an inïŹator
is not in use.

of serious personal injury.
îDo not use this inïŹator to spray chemicals. Your lungs
can be damaged by inhaling toxic fumes.
îCheck damaged parts. Before further use of the inïŹa-

should be carefully checked to determine that it will
operate properly and perform its intended function.
îCheck for alignment of moving parts, binding of mov-
ing parts, breakage of parts, mounting, and any other
conditions that may affect its operation. A guard or
other part that is damaged should be properly repaired
or replaced by an authorized service center. Following
this rule will reduce the risk of shock, ïŹre, or serious injury.
îRisk of bursting. Carefully monitor objects during inïŹa-
tion.
îTo reduce the risk of over inïŹation, use a reliable pres-
sure gauge periodically during inïŹation.
îNever leave the inïŹator unattended during inïŹation.
îNever block the inïŹating or deïŹating outlets while
operating.
îDo not use a battery pack that is damaged or modiïŹed.
Damaged or modiïŹed batteries may exhibit unpredictable
behavior resulting in ïŹre, explosion or risk of injury.
îDo not modify or attempt to repair a battery pack that
has been damaged.
îDo not expose a battery pack or appliance to ïŹre or
excessive temperature. Exposure to ïŹre or temperature
above 265° F may cause explosion.
îFollow all charging instructions and do not charge the
battery pack or appliance outside of the temperature
range speciïŹed in the instructions. Charging improperly
or at temperatures outside of the speciïŹed range may
damage the battery and increase the risk of ïŹre.
îHave servicing performed by a qualiïŹed repair person
using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure
that the safety of the product is maintained.
îSave these instructions. Refer to them frequently and
use them to instruct others who may use this inïŹator.
If you loan someone this inflator, loan them these
instructions also.

îWhen servicing an inïŹator, use only identical replace-
ment parts. Follow instructions in the Maintenance
