GENERAL SAFETY RULES
WARNING!
READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS. Fail-
ure to follow all instructions listed below, may result in
electric shock, ïŹre and/or serious personal injury.
WARNING!
When using electric appliances, basic precautions should
always be followed, including the following:
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
WORK AREA
Keep your work area clean and well lit. Cluttered
benches and dark areas invite accidents.
Keep bystanders, children, and visitors away while
operating an inïŹ‚ator. Distractions can cause you to
lose control.
Operate inïŹ‚ator in an open area at least 18 in. away
from any wall or object that could restrict the ïŹ‚ow of
fresh air to ventilation openings.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not put
inïŹ‚ator in water or other liquid. Do not place or store
appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
Use this product only with batteries and chargers
listed in tool/appliance/battery pack/charger correla-
tion supplement 987000-432.
PERSONAL SAFETY
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use
common sense when operating an inïŹ‚ator. Do not use
inïŹ‚ator while tired or under the inïŹ‚uence of drugs,
alcohol, or medication. A moment of inattention while
operating inïŹ‚ator may result in serious personal injury.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry.
Contain long hair. Keep your hair and clothing away
from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry, or long hair
can be caught in moving parts.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance
at all times. Proper footing and balance enable better
control of the inïŹ‚ator in unexpected situations.
Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Dust
mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protec-
tion must be used for appropriate conditions.
Eye protection is required to guard against ïŹ‚ying fas-
teners and debris which could cause severe eye injury.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Contain long
hair. Loose clothes, jewelry, or long hair can be drawn
into air vents.
Do not use on a ladder or unstable support. Stable
footing on a solid surface enables better control of the
inïŹ‚ator in unexpected situations.
Do not disassemble the inïŹ‚ator.
Do not operate inïŹ‚ator near ïŹ‚ammable liquids or in
gaseous or explosive atmospheres. Internal sparks
may ignite fumes.
Do not store in a damp or wet location. Do not
use, store, or charge battery packs or products in
locations where the temperature is less than 50° F
or more than 100° F. Do not store in outside sheds or
in vehicles.
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from
the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally
occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes,
additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the
battery may cause irritation or burns.
When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from
other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails,
screws or other small metal objects, that can make
a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting
the battery terminals together may cause burns or a ïŹre.
INFLATOR USE AND CARE
Do not use inïŹ‚ator if switch does not turn it on or off.
An inïŹ‚ator that cannot be controlled with the switch is
dangerous and must be repaired.
Switch the tool off before making any adjustments,
changing accessories, or storing the inïŹ‚ator. Such
preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting
the inïŹ‚ator accidentally.
Store idle inïŹ‚ators out of reach of children and other
untrained persons. InïŹ‚ators are dangerous in the hands
of untrained users.
Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts, and any other condition that may
affect the inïŹ‚ator’s operation. If damaged, have the
inïŹ‚ator serviced before using. Many accidents are
caused by poorly maintained tools.
Use only accessories that are recommended by the
manufacturer for your model. Accessories that may be
suitable for one inïŹ‚ator may create a risk of injury when
used on another inïŹ‚ator.
Keep the inïŹ‚ator and its handle dry, clean and free
from oil and grease. Always use a clean cloth when
cleaning. Never use brake ïŹ‚uids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, or any strong solvents to clean your
inïŹ‚ator. Following this rule will reduce the risk of loss of
control and deterioration of the enclosure plastic.
Never point any inïŹ‚ator toward yourself or others.
Do not exceed the pressure rating of any component
in the system.

of serious personal injury.
Do not use this inïŹ‚ator to spray chemicals. Your lungs
can be damaged by inhaling toxic fumes.
Check damaged parts. Before further use of the inïŹ‚a-
tor or air tool, a guard or other part that is damaged
should be carefully checked to determine that it will
operate properly and perform its intended function.
Check for alignment of moving parts, binding of mov-
ing parts, breakage of parts, mounting, and any other
conditions that may affect its operation. A guard or
other part that is damaged should be properly repaired
or replaced by an authorized service center. Following
this rule will reduce the risk of shock, ïŹre, or serious injury.
Risk of bursting. Carefully monitor objects during inïŹ‚a-
tion.
To reduce the risk of over inïŹ‚ation, use a reliable pres-
sure gauge periodically during inïŹ‚ation.
Never leave the inïŹ‚ator unattended during inïŹ‚ation.
Never block the inïŹ‚ating or deïŹ‚ating outlets while
operating.
Do not use a battery pack that is damaged or modiïŹed.
Damaged or modiïŹed batteries may exhibit unpredictable
behavior resulting in ïŹre, explosion or risk of injury.
Do not modify or attempt to repair a battery pack that
has been damaged.
Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to ïŹre or
excessive temperature. Exposure to ïŹre or temperature
above 265° F may cause explosion.
Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the
battery pack or appliance outside of the temperature
range speciïŹed in the instructions. Charging improperly
or at temperatures outside of the speciïŹed range may
damage the battery and increase the risk of ïŹre.
Have servicing performed by a qualiïŹed repair person
using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure
that the safety of the product is maintained.
Save these instructions. Refer to them frequently and
use them to instruct others who may use this inïŹ‚ator.
If you loan someone this inflator, loan them these
instructions also.
GENERAL SAFETY RULES
