ELECTRICAL CONNECTION (UK ONLY)
For your safety please read the following information
Warning : This appliance must be earthed.
The appliance must be connected to a 240 volts 50 cycle AC supply by means of a three pin
socket, suitably earthed and should be protected by a 13 amp fuse in the plug or a 13 amp fuse in
the consumer unit.
The appliance is supplied with a re-wireable 13 amp 3 pin mains plug fitted with a 13 amp fuse.
Should the fuse require replacement, it must be replaced with a fuse rated at 13 amp and
approved to BS1362
The plug contains a removable fuse cover that must be refitted when the fuse is replaced. In the
event of the fuse cover being lost or damaged, the plug must not be used until a replacement
cover has been obtained.
If the moulded mains plug is unsuitable for the socket outlet in your home or is removed for any
other reason, then the fuse should be removed and the cut off plug disposed of safely to prevent
the hazard of electric shock.
There is a danger of electric shock if the cut off plug is inserted into any 13 amp socket outlet.
How to wire a 13 amp plug
Important
The wires in the mains lead on this appliance are coloured in accordance with the following code :
Green and Yellow – Earth
Blue – Neutral
Brown – Live
As the colours may not correspond with the markings identifying the terminals in your plug
proceed as follows.
The green and yellow wire must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the
letter E or with the earth symbol or coloured green and yellow.
The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N or coloured black.
The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured red.

IMPORTANT
For safety purpose you should read the instructions carefully before using the appliance for the
first time. Save the instructions for future reference.
Warning:
To prevent burns, always use a mitt or potholder for handling. Remove the lid slowly with the
underside of the lid pointing away from you and let steam escape gradually. Hold the lid over the
steam compartment to allow the condensation to drain into the steamer.
Do not reach into the appliance while cooking. If you need to check on the cooking progress or to
stir, use a utensil with a long handle. Make sure the reservoir is not filled over the maximum mark
as boiling water may be ejected. Accessible surfaces will get hot, always heed the above warning
and allow to cool before cleaning.
DO’S
1. Check the rating of the appliance is same as your local mains supply.
2. Place the appliance on a firm and steady work surface.
3. Always use padded gloves due to high temperature steam, food or soup.
4. Lift and open the Lid towards the front carefully to avoid high temperature steam burns.
5. Assemble each compartment correctly and make sure they stack up securely.
6. Allow cooling before disassembling the compartments.
7. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
8. To disconnect, turn the Timer to “Off” position, and unplug from mains outlet.
9. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or
similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

1. Do not touch the surface of steam compartments. They are hot!
2. Do not put your hand into the appliance whilst cooking. Use a utensil with a long handle.
3. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven or microwave.
4. Do not operate the appliance near wall or cabinet to prevent damage from steam.
5. Do not immerse the appliance, power cord or plug in water or other liquids.
6. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged power cord or mains plug.
7. Return the appliance to an authorised service center for examination, repair or adjustment in
order to avoid a hazard.
8. Do not use appliance for other than intended household use.
9. Do not use other attachments that are not recommended by the manufacturer.
10. Do not attempt to open the cabinet or dismantle any parts from the appliance; there is no
