PAVANE – Cordless doorbel set UK - 1

Thank you for purchasing this Profile product.
Please note: It is important that you read this
manual before using the product. And be sure
to save this manual for possible use later.
The cordless doorbell consists of 2 separate
components:
1. Push-button unit (transmitter)
2. Bell unit (receiver)
These items are completely independent of
each other and require no wiring.
When the push-button is pressed in, a signal is
sent to the bell, whereupon the bell is
activated.
Battery installation
Push-button unit
1. The push-button unit works using 1 x 3v
(CR2032) lithium battery (included).
2. The lithium battery is already installed.
Open the push-button and remove the
insulator strip.
3. Snap the rear side back into position, and
the push-button is ready for use.
To replace the battery:
1. Open up the push-button unit.
2. Remove the metal plate using a
screwdriver.
3. Place a 3v battery (CR2032) in the battery
compartment, making sure the positive
terminal (+) is uppermost.
Installation
Push-button unit
Use the two small holes on the rear of the
push-button to mark the position for securing in
place. Drill small holes and mount the push-
button in position with screws (self-tapping 3 x
16mm, included) or use the double-sided
adhesive tape (included).
Important: If you secure the push-button onto
a metal upper surface or PVC type of door
(with metal), its maximum range of
transmission will be greatly reduced.
Bell unit
1. A/C 230volt~50Hz
2. Stick the bell unit in a suitable plug, it is
ready for use immediately. (the green LED
light comes on)
3. Test the bell to make sure the gong is
within reach of the push button.
4. The plug can be used up to 230V, with a
maximum of 13A.
5. The bell has an autodidactic code-system.
Once connected, a 2 tone signal means it
is ready to learn a new code.
Choice of bell tone
The bell-tone selector button is inside the
push-button unit, below letter “S”. Press the
button once to hear the bell tone already set.
Press again to hear and select the next tune.

Optionally: It is possible to instal an extra
push-button by your back door. By applying the
procedure given above, each push-button can
produce a different tune.
Channel selection
The unit is supplied with a pre-set radio
frequency. If by chance the bell should sound
for no apparent reason, it's possible that
another device nearby is using the same
frequency. To get round this problem, you can
change the frequency of the push-button and
bell.
1. remove the cover behind the push-button.
2. To program or change: remove the
batteries from the bell unit for at least 30
seconds to prime the memory.
3. place the batteries back into position
within. Press the push-button after the two-
tone signal sound (with a second press of
the button if need be) to confirm the new
code. Do this within 1 minute. Don’t use
any other cordless products for the next 5
minutes.
4. Test for correct operation.
Volume selection
There is a volume-selector button inside the
bell unit to set at the desired bell volume.
Trouble-shooting and tips
Problem: Bell rings, but LEDs
fail to light up
Possible cause:- The bell is out-of-range
(max. 80m in open spaces)
Possible solution: - Move the bell within
range - Reprogram the channel
(see channel selection)
Problem: Bell does not ring, nor do the
LEDs light up
Possible cause:- Push-button battery is flat
- Batteries are not correctly
installed in the push-button
Possible solution: - Replace battery
- Reinstall the batteries in their
correct positions (see battery
installation for push-button
unit)

Warning
1. Do not fasten the push-button onto a
metal upper surface or PVC type of
door. This restricts their range.
2. Do not expose the bell unit to direct
rain, splashing water or direct sunlight,
and do not immerse the unit in water.
3. Do not drop the bell or push-button, or
subject them to severe insults.
4. Do not expose either unit to high
temperatures, nor place them close to
sources of heat.
5. Never combine different types of
batteries, nor use old and new
batteries together.
6. Always use alkaline batteries: they will
last longer and there is less risk of
leakage.
7. If the bell will be out of use for a
prolonged period, remove the
batteries.
8. The bell unit is suitable for use indoors
only.
9. Please dispose of old or faulty
batteries in an environmentally-friendly
manner, in accordance with applicable
laws.
10. Ensure that no naked flames, e.g.
candles, are placed near the bell.
11. Replace batteries using only those
recommended by the manufacturer.

Terms of the guarantee
The guarantee period for PAC-300 is 2 years from
the date of purchase. During the guarantee period,
ELTRA NV will remedy any defect that is attributable
to faulty materials or manufacture. ELTRA NV may
elect either to replace or repair the defective
appliance.
ELTRA NV is under no obligation to repair or
replace an appliance where a defect arises due to
damage, inappropriate use, modifications or
alterations made or occurring after the purchase
date.
Return the faulty appliance, together with proof of
purchase, to the shop from which it was purchased.
Always include a note describing the problem.
Damage
Under no circumstances can ELTRA NV be held
liable for damage of any kind where the appliance
has not been installed in accordance with the
instructions provided, nor for damage resulting from
unforeseeable circumstances such as natural
disaster, lightning strike, etc. All such consequential
costs are therefore for the exclusive account of the
purchaser and are not covered under the terms of
the guarantee.
