OPERATION
The PDS65 is functional both in low impedance-, as well as in 100V/70V use Use the switch (as pictured below) to set the .
pendant speaker in the correct working mode. In case, the pendant speaker is congured to work in 8 Ohm ( low below Ω,
impedance) setup The terminal block connector is located near the switch. .
NOTE: Cabling of a 70/100 system may only be carried out by a qualied electrician! The total load must not exceed the rated V
power of the amplier. If the 70/100V system is turned on, turn it o before connecting. Make sure the rotary switch on the
speaker is turned to o before connecting. “ ”
LOW IMPEDANCE
The low impedance mode of t PDS65 he has a nominal impedance of 8Ω. If there is the need to connect multiple speakers in
parallel, be sure to follow the amplifier’s specifications regarding the minimum allowed impedance. Most ampliers allow for a
minimum , which translates two PDS65 speakers connected in parallel. of 4Ω impedance to
* Both left and right amplier output channels can be used in above case.
70/100 VOLT
Use the rotary switch to congure the desired power tap when using the PDS65 in 70/100V conguration (5W, 10W, 20W, 40W
for 100V and 2.5W, 5W, 10W, 20W for V). 70
Make sure you are using a powerful enough amplier for your setup of PDS65 speakers. It is recommended to have about 20%
of reserve power. I below case ( ), you will need at least roughly 140W of amplier power (( + + ) x 1.2 =144W). n 100V 40 40 40
MOUNTING
The PDS65 pendant speaker can be suspended, as well as mounted on (for example) a wall. Before installing, please make
sure that the surface to which you are mounting the speaker, has sucient load-bearing capacity.
