IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and/or injury to persons, including the following:
Read all instructions.
Do not touch hot surfaces.
To protect against re, electric shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water
or in any other liquid.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Children
should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on
or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug after the appliance
malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest
authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer
may result in re, electric shock or injury to persons.
Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
Always attach plug to appliance rst, then plug cord into wall outlet. To disconnect, turn
any control to “off,” then remove plug from wall outlet.
Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
Do not open the water tank lid during the brewing cycles.
Scalding may occur if the lter holder is removed during the brewing cycles.
Place the appliance on a hard, at level surface to avoid interruption of airow underneath
the appliance.
WARNING! To reduce the risk of re or electric shock, do not remove the bottom cover.
No user serviceable parts inside. Service and repair should only be performed by an
authorized service center.
Disconnect the battery cartridge from the appliance before making any adjustments,
changing accessories, or storing appliance. Such preventive safety measures reduce
the risk of starting the appliance accidentally.
Recharge only with the charger specied by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable
for one type of battery cartridge may create a risk of re when used with another battery
cartridge.
Use appliances only with specically designated battery cartridges. Use of any other
battery cartridges may create a risk of injury and re.
When battery cartridge is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper
clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection
from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns
or a re.
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If
contact accidentally occurs, ush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek
medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
Do not use a battery cartridge or appliance that is damaged or modied. Damaged or
modied batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior resulting in re, explosion or risk
of injury.

Do not expose a battery cartridge or appliance to re or excessive temperature. Exposure
to re or temperature above 130°C (265°F) may cause explosion.
Have servicing performed by a qualied repair person using only identical replacement
parts. This will ensure that the safety of the product is maintained.
Do not use outdoors.
Do not start the appliance if the cord or plug is damaged or if it does not work correctly.
Repairs and cord replacements must be cared out exclusively by an authorised service
center.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
To reduce the risk of re or electrical shock, do not remove any of the lids; there are no
parts in the inside that may be handled by the user.
a) A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is to be provided to
reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be
used if care is exercised in their use.
c) If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
1) The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension
cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance;
2) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding
type 3-wire cord; and
3) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or
table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
This appliance is designed exclusively for domestic use. Household use only.
