The LaCie Big Disk Quadra was created for professionals
who expect high speed and large capacity in an easy-to-
use, compact device. Fully loaded with all four leading
interfaces - eSATA 3Gb/s, FireWire 800, FireWire 400,
and Hi-Speed USB 2.0 – it offers complete universal
compatibility with any Mac or PC. It also comes with
advanced backup software with computer recovery: Genie
Backup Manager Pro™ for Windows® and Intego Backup
Manager Pro™ for Mac® users.
Sophisticated, Convenient Design
Designed by Neil Poulton exclusively for LaCie, the Big Disk
Quadra is fully engineered to integrate into your Mac or PC
environment. With versatile configurations such as vertical,
horizontal, stacked with other drives or rack-mounted, this
highly adaptable storage solution conforms to any desktop
to save you space. The glowing blue button on the front is
the LaCie Shortcut Button, which can launch any backup or
library application of your choosing in one push.****
Ideal For Digital Audio/Video Pros
With two internal SATA disks and built-in hardware RAID 0,
the Big Disk Quadra reaches impressively high speeds and
offers enormous capacity for such a compact drive, making
it ideal for audio/video editors, creative professionals, or
database managers. The eSATA 3Gb/s interface delivers
remarkably rapid burst transfer rates of up to 165MB/s**.
Use it with high-definition audio, digital video editing, SD
video and 2D/3D imaging or to back up your computer
or archive thousands of files. You can even daisy-chain
FireWire or iLink DV cameras via FireWire.
Advanced Cooling System
The Big Disk Quadra’s fully aluminum, sturdy heat sink
design provides 60% more surface area for naturally
drawing heat away from the internal components to keep
it cool and safe at all times. This advanced cooling system
allows the Big Disk Quadra to be fanless for near-silent
operation, enabling maximum peace and quiet in your
work environment. It also offers Triple Power Management
with a manual switch: “Auto” for energy efficiency; “On” for
instant access; or “Off” for data protection.
