ical marvel that will serve you faithfully for many years.
The most advanced technologies were used throughout
its manufacture and it underwent stringent controls
before it was released for sale.

๎.๎ Recommendations
๎ด Like all micro-mechanical precision instruments, your
Hamilton watch should be checked at least once
every two years. Entrust your watch to an authorized
Hamilton repair center or to any other professional
watch service.
๎ด To keep your watch water-resistant, make sure that
its sealing features are tested at every check-up.
๎ด Do not move the crown when you are in water.
๎ด Rinse o๎ your watch with fresh water after any immer-
sion in seawater.
๎ด Dry your watch whenever it gets wet.
๎ด Have your watch checked for water-resistance by an
authorized Hamilton retailer or by any other profes-
sional watch service each time the case is opened.

The water-resistance of your watch is indicated on the
case back.

๎.๎ Leather straps
Hamilton recommends that you follow the steps below
in order to preserve the condition of your leather strap
for as long as possible:
๎ด Avoid contact with water and dampness to prevent
discoloration and deformation.
๎ด Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight to prevent the
color from fading.
๎ด Do not forget that leather is permeable ! Therefore
avoid contact with greasy substances and cosmetic
products.
๎ด If you have a problem with your leather strap, please
contact your nearest Hamilton retailer.
๎.๎ Batteries
Watch batteries can last between two and ๎ve years,
depending on the watch type, its size and the amount
of energy used by the various functions. If the seconds
hand starts to move in ๎-second steps, the battery
should be changed by your Hamilton agent.
Replacing the battery
We recommend that you contact an approved Hamilton
service center or authorized Hamilton retailer, as they
are equipped with the tools and apparatus required to
carry out the work and the necessary checks in a profes-
sional manner. A worn-out battery should be replaced
immediately in order to reduce the risk of leakage and
consequent damage to the movement.

To prevent malfunctions of your watch avoid coming
into contact with magnetic ๎elds such as those of mag-
nets, loudspeakers, cell phones, refrigerators, etc.

Setting the time

๎. Set the time by turning the crown in the desired
direction.
๎๎ Push the crown back in completely to position (p๎):
the seconds hand starts again, allowing perfect syn-
chronization with a time signal.
Setting the time zone and the date
๎๎ Pull out the crown C to position (p๎).
๎. Turn the crown in the desired direction to set the hour
hand. The hour hand moves forwards or backwards
in one-hour jumps. The date changes each time the
hour hand passes ๎๎ oโ clock midnight.
๎๎ Push the crown back in completely to position (p๎).

๎๎ Pull out the crown C to position (p๎).
๎. Set the ๎๎-minute counter 2 to zero by pressing
button B.

For lasting, faultless and precise functioning of your
watch, you should read and follow the instructions in
this manual. These apply to all mechanical (manual or
automatic), quartz and chronograph (quartz and au-
tomatic) watches from Hamilton. The following pages
give instructions for the general settings of the time,
date and day and time zone, which are applicable ac-
cording to how many of these functions your model
has. Watches with special functions are explained sub-
sequently according to their movement.

Quartz movement. The electrical energy provided by the
battery causes the quartz in the interior of the watch
movement to oscillate ๎๎,๎๎๎ times per second. This
high frequency gives great accuracy. The seconds hand
advances in steps. Important: Do not leave the crown
C
in position (p๎) for longer than ๎๎ minutes, as this
might interfere with the time function.
