OWNER’S MANUAL AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

INSTALLATION
1. Plug one end of coiled cord to the jack of handset and the other end to the jack of
the base set
2. Plug one end of flat cord to line jack of the phone and the other end to the wall
jack
SETTING
1. RINGER VOLUME CONTROL (HI/LO/OFF)
- Slide the [RINGER] switch to ‘HI’ position or ‘LO’ position to turn the ringer on.
‘HI’ for high volume and ‘LO’ for low volume
- Slide the [RINGER] switch to ‘OFF’ position to turn the ringer off. You still can
dial out, but cannot hear ringer sound of any incoming calls. (Ringer LED will
still flash to remind you there is incoming call.) Don’t forget to switch the ringer
to ‘ON’ (i.e. ‘HI’ or ‘LO’ position), otherwise, you cannot hear the ringer on next
time.
2. RECEIVER VOLUME CONTROL (MAX to MIN)
- Slide the “RECEIVER” switch from the left side of the base unit to adjust the

receiver volume from maximum (MAX) to minimum (MIN).
3. SPEAKER VOLUME CONTROL (MAX to MIN)
- Slide the “SPEAKER” switch from the right side of the base unit to adjust the
speaker volume from maximum (MAX) to minimum (MIN).
OPERATION
1. MAKING A NORMAL CALL
- Lift the handset and get a dial tone, then input the telephone number by pressing
the corresponding digit keys
2. RECEIVING A CALL
- When the phone rings, lift the handset and speak into the mouth piece of the
handset
- Put back the handset when conversation is completed
3. USE AS A HAND-FREE PHONE
- Press the [SPEAKER] key, the LED will light, and the telephone is ready for use
as a speaker phone without picking up the handset, you can talk to the caller via
the MIC and hear from the receiver, the sound level can be adjusted by turning the
volume control on the base set.
4. HAND-FREE ANSWERING
- Press the [SPEAKER] key and the LED will light, speak to the caller
- Press the [SPEAKER] key again when conversation is completed
- (Be sure to tell the caller that you are using the speakerphone mode, perhaps the
caller not wishes anyone else to hear the conversation.)
5. LAST OUTGOING NUMBER REDIAL
- Lift the handset or press [SPEAKER] key, and get a new dial tone
- Press [REDIAL] key, the last outgoing number can be redialed automatically; this
is very useful if line is busy.
6. HOLD FUNCTION
- During conversation, press [HOLD] key
- Then put back the handset
- Lift the handset again or press [SPEAKER] key to go to talk with the caller
- (This function allow you to talk with another person and the conversation will not
be heard by the caller)

7. TO STORE 12 ONE TOUCH MEMORIES
- Lift the handset or press [SPEAKER] button
- Press STORE button
- Enter the number you want to store
- Press STORE button
- Press ONE-TOUCH button (M1-M12)
- Replace the handset or press [SPEAKER] button again
8. STORE ON/OFF SWITCH
- Slide the “STORE” switch to ‘ON’, position the one-touch or two-touch memories
will be able to be programmed.
- Slide the “STORE” switch to ‘OFF’, position the one-touch or two-touch
memories will not be able to be programmed.
9. ‘911’ EMERGENCY ONE-TOUCH DIALING
For the emergency dialing of ‘911’, just pick the handset or press [SPEAKER] to get a
dial tone, then press [911] button to dial out the call directly
10. TO DIAL A NUMBER FROM THE 12 ONE TOUCH MEMORIES
- Get the dial tone (pick up handset or press [SPEAKER] button), press the
corresponding one-touch memory key that the wanted number has been stored in.
11. FLASH (Call Waiting)
For Call Waiting or when in an office equipped with PBX service, this telephone
makes it easy to transfer calls
- Ask the caller to wait
- Press [FLASH] button for Call waiting
- You can now answer the 2 nd call , by pressing [FLASH] again you can go
back to the 1st call.
- Or for PBX equipped dial the extension number which the caller intended
- When the person answers, just replace the handset back onto the phone
- If you receive a busy call or there is nobody answer, press [FLASH] button to
re-connect to caller
12. PAUSE KEY
In some cases, such as PABX or long distance service, pauses should be inserted in
the dialing sequence. The unit provides stackable pause function (3.6sec/pause) which
