1 Anwendung

Bestimmungsgemäß entfernt der Fein-/Feinstfilter

MS9-LFM Schmutzpartikel und Öltröpfchen, der Aktiv-

kohlefilter MS9-LFX gasförmige Ölbestandteile aus der

durchgeleiteten Druckluft.

Die Geräte benötigen für einen einwandfreien Betrieb

vorgefilterte Druckluft in unterschiedlicher Qualität

(Betriebsmedium “Technische Daten”).

2 Voraussetzungen für den Produkteinsatz

Durch unsachgemäße Handhabung entstehen Fehl-

funktionen. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die nachfolgenden

Vorgaben stets eingehalten werden.

• Vergleichen Sie die Grenzwerte in dieser Bedienungs-

anleitung mit denen Ihres Einsatzfalls (z.B. Betriebs-

medium, Drücke, Kräfte, Temperaturen, Massen,

Durchflüsse).

• Berücksichtigen Sie die Vorschriften der Berufsgenos-

senschaft, des Technischen Überwachungsvereins oder

entsprechende nationale Bestimmungen.

• Berücksichtigen Sie die Umgebungsbedingungen am

Einsatzort.

• Entfernen Sie die Transportvorkehrungen wie Schutz-

wachs, Folien (Polyamid), Kappen (Polyethylen), Karto-

nagen (außer den Verschlusselementen der pneumati-

schen Anschlüsse).

• Verwenden Sie das Produkt im Originalzustand ohne

jegliche eigenmächtige Veränderung.

• Entfernen Sie Partikel in den Zuleitungen mittels Durch-

blasen der Rohre und Schläuche. Dadurch schützen Sie

das Gerät vor frühzeitigem Ausfall oder höherem

Verschleiß (siehe DIN ISO 4414, Abs. 9.4).

• Sorgen Sie für Druckluft mit ordnungsgemäßer Aufbe-

reitung.

3 Einbau

3.1 Mechanisch

Informationen zur Montage von Modulverbinder,

Anschlussplatte und Befestigungswinkel finden Sie in

der dem Zubehör beigefügten Bedienungsanleitung.

• Beachten Sie die Durchflussrichtung von 1 nach 2.

Als Orientierung dienen die Ziffern 1auf dem Produkt-

gehäuse (Bild 1).

• Plazieren Sie das Gerät mit ausreichend Platz unterhalb

der Filterschale (min. 50 mm).

• Justieren Sie das Gerät senkrecht stehend (_5°).

Direktmontage eines Einzelgeräts MS9-LFM/LFX-¾

¾¾/1

mit Befestigungsschrauben

1.Drücken Sie alle Schutzkappen 2nach vorne aus den

Anschlussplatten (Bild 2). Schieben Sie dazu einen

schmalen Gegenstand durch die hintere Öffnung der

Anschlussplatte.

2.Befestigen Sie das Einzelgerät mit vier Befestigungs-

schrauben 3der Größe M6 und einer Mindestlänge

von 90 mm (Bild 3). Der Abstand zwischen den Boh-

rungen beträgt 90 mm in der Breite und 66 mm in der

Höhe.

Zusammenbau einer Filterkombination

• Beachten Sie die Reihenfolge entlang der Durchfluss-

richtung.

Richtig montiert, kommt zuerst der Feinfilter

MS9-LFM-…-B (1 μm), dann der Feinstfilter

MS9-LFM-…-A (0,01 μm) und zuletzt der Aktivkohlfilter

MS9-LFX.

Zusammenbau mit einem oder mehreren bereits vorhan-

denen Wartungsgeräten der gleichen Baureihe

(Bild 4)

1.Demontieren Sie den bestehenden Wartungsgeräte-

strang abhängig vom geplanten Einbauort des Geräts

innerhalb des Strangs.

Bei Einbau am Anfang oder Ende des Wartungsgeräte-

strangs:

– Druckluftleitung am Wartungsgerätestrang

demontieren oder

– Anschlussplatte am Wartungsgerätestrang

demontieren.

Bei Einbau zwischen zwei Wartungsgeräten des

Wartungsgerätestrangs:

– Modulverbinder MS9-MV 4zwischen den beiden

Wartungsgeräten durch Lösen der Schrauben

entfernen.

2.Platzieren Sie das Gerät an den gewünschten Einbau-

ort.

3.Platzieren Sie die Modulverbinder MS9-MV 4in den

Nuten von MS9-LFM/LFX und benachbartem War-

tungsgerät. Dabei ist zwischen den Wartungsgeräten

eine Dichtung erforderlich.

4.Befestigen Sie die Modulverbinder MS9-MV mit zwei

Schrauben.

5.Montieren Sie die entfernten Teile und Geräte aus

Schritt 1 wieder zu einem Wartungsgerätestrang

zusammen.

3.2 Pneumatisch

Bei Verwendung von Anschlussverschraubungen:

• Beachten Sie die Einschraubtiefe der Anschluss-

gewinde.

4 Wartung und Pflege

Wechsel der Filterpatrone

• Wechseln Sie die Filterpatrone bei folgenden Anzei-

chen:

MS9-LFM MS9-LFX

Druckabfall Δp größer 0,35 bar.

Nur MS9-LFM-…-DA:

Die rote Farbzone füllt den sicht-

baren Bereich der Differenz-

druckanzeige vollständig aus.

Wechsel alle 1000 Betriebsstun-

den empfohlen

1.Entlüften Sie das Gerät.

2.Schieben Sie den Entriegelungsschieber 5in Pfeilrich-

tung (Bild 5).

3.Drehen Sie die Filterschale von Hand oder am Sechs-

kant gegen den Uhrzeigersinn (von unten gesehen) bis

zum spürbaren Anschlag.

4.Ziehen Sie mit vorsichtigen Bewegungen nach vorne

und nach hinten die Filterschale vom Gerät weg

(Bild 6). Dadurch löst sich gleichzeitig die Filterpa-

trone und kann gemeinsam mit der Filterschale entfernt

werden.

5.Entnehmen Sie die Filterpatrone mit zugesetzten Poren

aus der Filterschale(Bild 7).

6.Platzieren Sie die neue Filterpatrone in der Filterschale.

Hinweis

Verhindern Sie beim Wechsel der Filterpatrone, dass

Schmutzpartikel in das Gerät gelangen. Ergreifen Sie

die neue Filterpatrone nur an der oberen und unteren

Endkappe. Für eine leichtere Montage empfiehlt es

sich, den O-Ring in der oberen Endkappe leicht zu ölen.

7.Montieren Sie die Einzelteile wieder in umgekehrter

Reihenfolge. Dabei gelten folgende Kontrollpunkte:

– Die Nase am Entriegelungsschieber der Filterschale

weist auf die Aussparung am Gehäuse (Bild 8).

– Der Entriegelungsschieber rastet bei Erreichen des

Endanschlags deutlich hörbar ein (Bild 9).

8.Nehmen Sie die Anlage wieder in Betrieb.

Reinigung

• Reinigen Sie bei Bedarf das Gerät mit einem weichen

Lappen von außen.

Zulässige Reinigungsmedien sind Seifenlauge

(max. +60 °C) oder Waschbenzin (aromatenfrei).

1 Application

The fine/micro filter MS9-LFM is intended for removing

dirt particles and drops of oil; the active carbon filter

MS9-LFX is intended for removing gaseous oil particles

from the compressed air which is passed through.

For faultless operation the devices require pre-filtered

compressed air in differing quality (operating medium

“Technical specifications”).

2 Conditions of use

Incorrect handling can result in malfunctioning. Make

sure that the following specifications are always

observed.

• Compare the maximum values specified in these oper-

ating instructions with your actual application (e.g. op-

erating media, pressures, forces, temperatures,

masses, flow rates).

• Please comply with national and local safety laws and

regulations.

• Take into consideration the ambient conditions at the

location of use.

• Remove all transport packing such as protective wax,

foils (polyamide), caps (polyethylene), cardboard boxes

(except for the sealing elements of the pneumatic

connections).

• Use the product in its original state. Unauthorised

modification is not permitted.

• Remove dirt particles in the supply lines by blowing out

the tubing with compressed air. In this way you will pro-

tect the device from premature failure or heavy wear

(see DIN ISO 4414, section 9.4).

• Ensure that there is a supply of correctly prepared

compressed air.

3 Fitting

3.1 Mechanical installation

Information on fitting module connectors, sub-bases

and fastening brackets can be found in the operating

instructions enclosed with the accessories.

• Note the direction of flow from 1 to 2.

The figures 1on the product housing serve as an

orientation (fig. 1).

• Place the device with sufficient space below the filter

bowl (min. 50 mm).

• Adjust the device when it is standing vertically (_5°).

Direct mounting of an MS9-LFM/LFX-¾

¾¾/1 with fastening

screws

1.Press all protective caps 2forwards out of the

sub-base (fig. 2). In order to do this push a narrow

object through the rear opening of the sub-base.

2.Fasten the individual device with four fastening screws

3of size M6 and a minimum length of 90 mm

(fig. 3). The distance between the holes is 90 mm in

width and 66 mm in height.

Fitting together a filter combination

• Note the sequnce of filters in the direction of flow.

If fitted correctly, the fine filter MS9-LFM-…-B (1 μm)

comes first, then the micro filter MS9-LFM-…-A

(0.01 μm) and last the active carbon filter MS9-LFX.

Fitting together with one or several already mounted

service units of the same series (fig. 4)

1.Dismantle the existing service unit string depending on

the planned location of the MS9-LFM within the string.

If the device is to be fitted at the beginning or at the end

of the service unit string:

– disconnect the compressed air tubing from the

service unit string or

– remove the sub-base from the service unit string.

If the device is to be fitted between two service units in

the service unit string:

– Remove the module connector MS9-MV 4between

the two service units by loosening the screws.

2.Mount the device in the desired location.

3.Place the module connectors MS9-MV 4in the grooves

of the MS9-LFM/LFX and the adjoining service unit.

There must be a seal between the service units.

4.Fasten the module connectors MS9-MV with two

screws.

5.Fit the removed parts and devices from step 1 together

to a service unit string again.

3.2 Pneumatic installation

If using screw connectors:

• note the screw-in depth of the connector threads.

Replacing the filter cartridges

• Replace the filter cartridge if it shows signs of the

following:

MS9-LFM MS9-LFX

We recommend that the filter be

replaced after every 1000

operating hours

1.Exhaust the device.

2. Push the unlocking slide 5in the direction of the arrow

(fig. 5).

3.Turn the filter bowl by hand or by the hexagon as far as

possible in an anti-clockwise direction (as seen from

below] until it is heard to strike the stop.

4.Pull the filter bowl forwards and backwards carefully

away from the device (fig. 6). The filter cartridge will

then loosen itself and can be removed together with the

filter bowl.

5. Remove the filter cartridge with dirty pores from the

filter bowl (fig. 7).

6. Place the new filter cartridge in the filter bowl.

When replacing the filter cartridge prevent dirt

particles from entering the device. Grasp the new filter

cartridge only at the upper or lower end cap. In order

to facilitate fitting, we recommend that you lubricate

slightly the O-ring in the upper end cap.

7.Fit the individual parts together again in the reverse

sequence. The following checks must then be made:

– The locking pin on the unlocking slide of the filter

bowl must point towards the recess in the housing

(fig. 8).

– The unlocking slide can clearly be heard to snap into

place when the end stop is reached (fig. 9).

8.Commission the system again.

Cleaning

• If the device is dirty, clean the exterior with a soft cloth.

Permitted cleaning agents are soap suds (max. +60 °C)

or petroleum ether (free of aromatic compounds).
