Safety
• The speaker may be used by children aged 8 or over provided they have been
instructed in thesafe use of theproduct and that they understand thehazards and
risks involved. Cleaning and maintenance may be carried out by children aged 8 or
over, but only under adult supervision. Keepthespeaker and its mains lead out of
reach of children under theage of8.
• The speaker may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capability, lack of experience or knowledge which could jeopardise their safety,
provided they have been instructed in thesafe use of theproduct and understand
thehazards involved. Neverlet children play with thespeaker.
• The speaker should not be taken apart or modified. Nevertry to open thecasing
of thespeaker. Thecasing houses dangerous current-carrying non-insulated
components. Contact with these can lead to re or electric shock.
• Do not cover thespeaker. Adequate ventilation with adistance of at least 5cm
between ventilation ports and thesurrounding area is necessary to prevent
thespeaker from overheating.
• The speaker must only be connected to a100–240V, 50/60 Hz wall socket.
• Make sure that thewall socket to which themains adaptor is connected is easily
accessible, since this is theonly way to completely disconnect thespeaker from
themains supply.
• Place thespeaker on astable, flat surface.
• Do not touch thespeaker if your hands are moist orwet.
• Do not place thespeaker in anunstable position where there is arisk that it
may fall into water or other liquids. Donot place any objects containing liquid on
thespeaker, such as vases, drinks, etc.
• Do not place thespeaker in constant sunlight or near naked flames such as wood
stoves, lit candles, etc.
• Place thespeaker where there is no risk of people tripping over themainslead.
• This product is intended for indoor useonly.
• Never subject thespeaker to high temperature, dust, heavy vibration, impacts,
damp or moisture.
• Do not abuse themains lead. Donot jerk themains lead, grip and pull theadapter
out of thesocket when disconnecting thespeaker. Makesure that themains
adaptor does not come into contact with heat, sharp edges or is crushed in anyway.
