IMPORTANT:
Before operating the unit for the rst time, read these instructions carefully and keep them for
future reference
• This appliance complies with European Directives 2004/108/CEE regarding “electromagnetic com-
patibility” and 2006/95/CEE regarding “Electrical product safety”. The appliance carries CE mark-
ing.
• The manufacturer reserves the right to make changes to the design and features of the appliance
without notice.
•
This appliance is solely for household use.
• Do not open the safety cap while the appliance is in use.
• Do not switch on the appliance if the steam hose shows signs of damage (cracks/cuts), the power
cable is damaged or if the appliance has been potentially subject to non-identiable damage
(e.g. the appliance has been dropped, etc.)
• Do not connect the appliance before having made sure that electrical voltage supply corresponds
to the required voltage shown on the machine plate.
•
The electric socket should be earthed and equipped with a 10A automatic circuit breaker.
• Any extension cables should be checked to ensure they are rated 10A and suitable for the appli-
ance. Cables should be completely unwound prior to use.
•
The appliance should not be used if there are visible signs of damage or leakage.
• The manufacturer declines any responsibility for damage to persons or equipment, in the event that
the equipment is damaged as a result of improper use, unauthorised repair or maintenance work.
•
Repairs should be carried out solely by personnel authorised by the manufacturer. Equipment repaired
by personnel who are not authorised to do so, represent a risk and, as such, are not covered by the
warranty.
•
The power cable should only be replaced by technical support personnel authorised by the manu-
facturer.
• Do not position the appliance externally.
•
Do not expose the appliance to external atmospheric agents, damp or heat.
• Use a dry or slightly damp cloth to clean the appliance.
• Use solely manufacturer-recommended accessories or spare parts.
• The steam released from the appliance is extremely hot. Both appliance and accessory tools may scald.
Avoid direct contact. The steam symbol (symbol 5597 relative to IEC 60417-1) warns operators that
there is the risk of scalding!

This appliance is not suitable for children, the physically or mentally disabled, or persons without the neces-
sary experience and know-how to handle the machine, unless they have been adequately trained by
safety personnel.
• Keep out of the reach of children.
• Keep the appliance in a safe dry place out of the reach of children when not in use.
• Do not pull on the cable. Do not use the cable to move the appliance. Do not exert undue pressure on
the cable (i.e. when closing a door). Avoid any contact with sharp edges and corners. Keep the cable
away from hot surfaces.
• No parts connected to an electrical power supply (switch, plug, electronic components, etc)
should be in contact with water.
• Disconnect the appliance from the power supply prior to any maintenance or cleaning operations.
Allow the steam unit to cool down before conducting maintenance.
• Filling the boiler should only be carried out with water that is free of additives, perfumes, or any other
chemical substances.
•
Do not overturn or lean the appliance unduly to one side.
• Do not leave the equipment unguarded. Remove the power supply in the event the machine re-
mains unattended for a period of time.
•
Unscrew the security cap only when the machine has been disconnected from the power supply and it
has been cooled down.
• Do not point the jet of steam in the direction of persons, animals or plants.
• Do not point the jet of steam in the direction of electrical or household appliances.
•
Do not insert any object in the various openings and do not use the appliance if any opening is ob-
structed.
• Do not use the appliance with wet hands or bare footed.
• Do not use the appliance when close to ammable or explosive substances.

CAUTION: Read the instructions for “Filling the Water Tank” before opening the Safety Cap.
Always vent the boiler until all pressure/steam has been removed before opening the safety cap. Venting
the boiler is done by sliding the red switch on the steam gun into the on position.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT add cleaning solutions, scented perfumes, oils or any other chemicals to the water
used in this appliance. Use tap water or distilled/puried water if the tap water in your area is very hard.
Flush out the boiler after 10-15 rells by adding warm water to the boiler, shake vigorously and empty
the boiler to remove calcium deposits.
IMPORTANT:
Always ensure that the unit is “UNPLUGGED” from the wall outlet prior to initial lling or re-lling the
water tank.
INSTRUCTION FOR USE
- Place Water Filling Funnel in tank and add 0,8 Lt of water Replace Safety/Filler Cap Do not overll.

- Upon initial use, some water will come out from the nozzle of the attachment. This is unheated water
in the hose and is normal.
IMPORTANT: When the SC 50 has run out of water, steam output will cease.
CAUTION: Before relling let the boiler cool down. When relling the machine while it is still hot, the rst
drops of water might bubble up. Use caution when opening the Safety/Filler Cap as cap may become
hot during use and escaping steam can cause scalding.
FILLING THE STEAM CLEANER WITH WATER
To attach the accessories onto the steam gun, press the security
button ensuring that the accessory ts into the hole.
To disconnect, repeat the operation by pressing the security
button and pulling the accessory out.

TO RELEASE THE STEAM
To release the steam from the steam gun, slide the red trigger switch forward.
The steam will continue to ow while the trigger switch is in this position.
TO TURN OFF THE STEAM
To turn off the steam, slide the red trigger switch back to the off position
NOTE:
If during operation the steam cleaner is left idle for more than 3 minutes, any steam left in the exible
hose will cool down and re-condense back into water causing water to be discharged from the e-
xible hose.
To remove any water condensation from the exible hose, drain the hose in a sink by sliding the red
trigger switch forward. The dry steam will ow after the water has been drained from the hose. Use the
steam cleaner as normal.
