Wasserdichtigkeit

Die Wasserdichtigkeit Ihrer DETOMASO–Uhr ist mit 10 ATM getestet.

Das heißt, Ihre Uhr besteht unbeschadet Händewaschen, Baden, Regensprit-

zer, Schwimmen und Duschen. Sie ist nicht geeignet zum Tauchen.

Wasserdichtigkeit ist keine bleibende Eigenschaft; sie sollte jährlich und insbe-

sondere vor besonderen Belastungen überprüft werden, da die eingebauten

Dichtungselemente in ihrer Funktion und im täglichen Gebrauch nachlassen.

Um die Wasserdichtigkeit einer Uhr zu gewährleisten werden Dichtungen

verwendet. Diese unterliegen einem natürlichen Alterungsprozess. Sie werden

u. a. von Schweiß und Säuren angegriffen.

DIN 8310 regelt Kriterien, die neue Uhren aushalten müssen. Die Wider-

standsfähigkeit wird in Atmosphäre angegeben und auf dem Gehäuseboden

vermerkt. Ihre DETOMASO–Uhr hat eine Wasserdichtigkeit von 10 ATM. Die

Druckangabe „10 ATM“ darf nicht verwechselt werden mit der Tauchtiefe,

sondern ist die Denition des Prüfdrucks. Ein Prüfdruck von „10 ATM“ wird in

100 m Wassertiefe erreicht.

Beim Schwimmen oder beim Sprung ins Wasser kann kurzfristig ein größerer

Druck auf die Dichtelemente entstehen als der garantierte Prüfdruck. Beson-

ders gefährdet sind die Uhren, wenn man nach längerem Sonnenbaden ins

Wasser springt, weil sich dann der Aufschlagdruck mit dem Unterdruck durch

die Abkühlung addiert, was leichter zu Schäden führen kann.

Beim Batteriewechsel ist es wichtig die Dichtungen zu überprüfen und ggf. zu

erneuern.

Einstellen der Uhrzeit

1. Ziehen Sie die Krone in die erste Position heraus.

2. Drehen Sie die Krone im Uhrzeigersinn, um den Stunden- und den Minuten-

zeiger einzustellen.

3. Nachdem Sie die Zeit eingestellt haben, drücken Sie die Krone zurück in die

Normalposition.

Einstellen des Datums

1. Ziehen Sie die Krone in die erste Position heraus.

2. Drehen Sie die Krone im Uhrzeigersinn, um das Datum einzustellen.

* Falls Sie das Datum zwischen den Stunden um ca. 9:00 p.m. (abends)

bis 1:00 a.m. (morgens) einstellen, wechselt das Datum (der Kalendertag)

am nächsten Tag vielleicht nicht.

3. Nachdem Sie das Datum (den Kalendertag) eingestellt haben, drücken Sie

die Krone zurück in die Normalposition.

Benutzen des Chronographen

Dieser Chronograph kann die Zeit in 1/20-Sekunden-Einheiten messen und

anzeigen, und zwar bis zu 59 Minuten und 59 Sekunden. Der 1/20-Sekunden-

zeiger des Chronographen läuft nach dem Start kontinuierlich 30 Sekunden lang

und hält dann an der Nullposition an.

Messen der Zeit mit der Stoppuhr

1. Drücken Sie Knopf „A“, um den Chronographen zu starten.

2. Mit jedem Drücken von Knopf „A“ wird des Chronographen gestartet oder

gestoppt.

3. Drücken Sie Knopf „B“, um den Chronographen zurückzustellen, und Minuten-

sowie Sekundenzeiger des Chronographen kehren auf ihre Nullpositionen

zurück.

Rückstellung des Chronographen

(einschliesslich nach dem Austauschen der Batterie)

Dieses Verfahren sollte ausgeführt werden, wenn der Sekundenzeiger des

Chronographen nicht auf die Nullposition zurückkehrt.

1. Ziehen Sie die Krone in die zweite Position heraus.

2. Drücken Sie einmal Knopf „A“, um den Sekundenzeiger des Chronographen

auf die Nullposition zu stellen.

3. Drücken Sie einmal Knopf „B“, um den 1/20-Sekundenzeiger des Chronogra-

phen auf die Nullposition zu stellen.

* Sie können die Zeiger des Chronographen schnell vorstellen, indem Sie

Knopf „A“ oder „B“ gedrückt halten.

4. Sobald Sie die Zeiger auf Null gestellt haben, setzen Sie die Zeit zurück und

drücken die Krone wieder in ihre Normalposition.

Nicht durch die Garantie abgedeckt sind Batterien, Verschleiß am Gehäuse,

Foreword

Congratulations on the purchase of your new DETOMASO watch. You are now

the new owner of a high precision time keeper characterised by its innovative

design.

We keep a long term stock of the most important spare parts for all our wat-

ches, guaranteeing repair over a period of many years.

In order to ensure that your new watch functions properly for many years,

please read the following instructions carefully.

Waterproof properties

The water resistance of your DETOMASO watch has been tested to be 10 ATM.

This means that it is splashproof and that you may wash your hands or take

a bath or a shower with it. You may also swim with it but it is not suitable for

diving. Waterproofness is not a permanent characteristic; it should be tested

annually and in particular before the watch is put under exceptional strain, as

the seals deteriorate gradually in daily use. The seals are the important factor

in guaranteeing the waterproofness of a watch. These age naturally and are

also affected by perspiration and acids. ISO 2281 stipulates which standards

have to be met by a new watch. The level of waterproofness is given in atm and

noted on the base of the casing.

Your DETOMASO watch has been tested and has a water resistance of 10

ATM. The specication „10 ATM” is not to be confused with the diving depth;

it is simply the denition of the inspection pressure. An inspection pressure of

10 ATM is reached at a depth of 100 m. You cannot go diving with this watch.

In some cases a short-term higher pressure than the guaranteed inspection

pressure may be enforced on the seals, for example when swimming or diving

into water.

Watches are at particular risk when the wearer dives into water after sun-

bathing. The combination of the impact pressure with the negative pressure

caused by the sudden drop in temperature can quite easily cause damage.

It is important to check and, if necessary, replace seals when the battery is

replaced.

Instructions for care

Your watch is a high precision electronic and mechanical masterpiece and

should serve you well for a long time.

Please keep your watch away from magnetic elds, heat, water and chemicals.

Do not submit it to sudden impact or abrasion. Watches should not be worn in

bed.

If a battery operated watch stops or the low battery indicator shows, it should

be taken to a specialist as soon as possible to prevent the battery from causing

damage in the watch or to the environment.

Batteries should be replaced by a specialist at regular intervals of approx. 1 –

1 ½ years. The seals can then be checked and, if necessary, replaced at the

same time.

In the event of condensation forming underneath the glass (misting), the watch

should be taken to a specialist as soon as possible to prevent the moisture

from causing further damage.

The crown should always be rmly pressed in or screwed tight during use.

Setting the time

1. Pull the crown out to the 2nd position.

2. Turn the crown clockwise to set hour and minute hands.

3. After the time has been set, push the crown back to the normal position.

Setting the Date

1. Pull the crown out to the 1st position.

2. Turn the crown clockwise to set the date.

* If the date is set between the hours of around 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM,

the date may not change on the following day.

3. After the date has been set, push the crown back to the normal position.

Using the chronograph

This chronograph is able to measure and display time in 1/20 second units

up to maximum of 59min 59sec. The chronograph 1/20 second hand moves

continuously for 30 seconds after starting, and then stops at zero position.

Measuring time with the stopwatch

1. Press button „A“ to start the chronograph.

2. The chronograph can be started and stopped each time button „A“ is

pressed.

3. Press button „B“ to reset the chronograph and chronograph minute and

second hands return to their zero positions.

This procedure shoud be performed when the chronograph second hand does

not return to the zero position.

1. Pull the crown out to the 2nd position.

2. Press the button „A“ once to set the chronograph second hand to the zero

position.

3. Press the button „B“ once to set the chronograph 1/20 second hand to the

zero position.

* The chronograph hands can be advanced rapidly by continuously pressing

button „A“ or „B“.

4. Once the hands are set at zero position, reset the time and return the

crown to its normal position.

24 month warranty

We guarantee that your watch is made of high quality materials. Extensive

quality controls guarantee that the watch is checked before being released by

the manufacturer.

Nevertheless, material faults cannot always be avoided. Should your new watch

show any faults, please consult our customer service department within the

valid warranty period.

We provide a 24 month warranty from date of purchase on all material faults

and production errors. This manufacturer’s warranty applies regardless of

statutory warranty rights. The warranty covers the functioning of the clockwork

and the awless workmanship of the watch. Not covered are: batteries, wear

and tear of the casing, glass or watch strap as well as damage caused by

improper use (accident, broken glass, water damage, pulled-out crown).

We will repair manufacturing faults free of charge within the warranty period.

Should the watch be irreparable it will be replaced by a comparable model.

To obtain warranty services please return the product to the place of purchase,

together with a copy of your sales receipt or other proof of purchase that

shows the date of purchase. Alternatively you may send the watch to the ser-

vice centre listed on the back of this booklet.

Etanchéité 10 ATM

L‘étanchéité de votre montre DETOMASO est testée avec 10 ATM. Cela signie

que votre montre peut être utilisée sans préjudice lors du lavage des mains,

lorsqu’il pleut, pour la natation, la douche, le bain. Toutefois, elle n‘est pas

appropriée à la plongée.

Étanchéité n´est pas une caractéristique permanente et doit être révisée annu-

ellement, car les joints d‘étanchéité perdent de leur efcacité à l´usage. Pour

garantir l´étanchéité d‘une montre des joints sont utilisés. Ceux-ci subissent un

processus naturel de vieillissement. Ils sont attaqués entre autres par la sueur

et l’acidité.

La norme DIN 8310 détermine les critères que les nouvelles montres

doivent supporter. La résistance est exprimée en ATM et notée sur le fond.

L‘étanchéité de votre montre DETOMASO est testée avec 10 ATM. L‘indication

de pression „10 ATM“ ne doit pas être confondue avec la profondeur, c’est la

dénition de la pression d‘épreuve. Une pression d‘épreuve de 10 ATM »est

réalisée dans 100 m d‘eau. En nageant ou en sautant dans l´eau une pression

plus importante que la pression garantie sur les joints peut être atteinte. Les

montres sont particulièrement menacées, par exemple après une longue expo-

sition au soleil si vous sautez dans l’eau, car à la pression de l´impact s’ajoute

la dépression due au refroidissement, pouvant provoquer plus facilement des

dommages.

Lorsque vous changez la batterie, il est important de vérier les joints et de les

renouveler si nécessaire.

Consignes d‘entretien

Votre montre est un chef-d’œuvre d‘électronique et de mécanique ne d‘une

grande précision. Elle doit vous donner l‘heure pendant longtemps. Protégez-la

des coups, des champs magnétiques, des fortes chaleurs, de l‘eau, des pro-

duits chimiques et de l‘usure mécanique. Vous devez en principe retirer votre

montre pour dormir.

Si votre montre à pile s‘arrête ou montre des signes de faiblesse, vous

devez l‘apporter immédiatement à un magasin spécialisé pour que la pile vide

n‘endommage pas la montre et ne nuise pas à l‘environnement.

La pile doit être changée régulièrement tous les 1 - 1 et demi dans un magasin

spécialisé. Si nécessaire, faites également contrôler et remplacer les joints.

En cas de formation de condensation (derrière le verre), la montre doit

être apportée immédiatement à un magasin spécialisé pour que l‘humidité

n‘endommage pas la montre. La couronne doit être toujours enfoncée lorsque

la montre est portée.

Réglage de l‘heure

1. Tirez la couronne jusqu’au 2ème clic.

2. Tournez la couronne dans le sens horaire pour régler les aiguilles des heures

et des minutes.

3. Une fois l’heure réglée, replacez la couronne en position normale.

* Si vous réglez la date entre 21h00 et 01h00 AM, la date risque de ne

pas basculer le jour suivant.

3. Une fois la date réglée, replacez la couronne en position normale.

Utilisation du chronographe

Ce chronographe est capable de mesurer et d’afcher le temps jusqu’à 59

minutes 59 secondes, par unités de 1/20 de seconde minimum. La trotteuse

1/20 de seconde du chronographe tourne en continu pendant 30 secondes

après avoir démarré, puis s’arrête à la position zéro.

Mesure du temps avec le chronomètre

1. Appuyez sur le bouton „A“ pour démarrer le chronographe.

2. Le chronographe peut être démarré et arrêté chaque fois que vous appuyez

sur le bouton „A“.

3. Appuyez sur le bouton „B“, le chronographe est réinitialisé et l’aiguille des

minutes et la trotteuse du chronographe retournent à Zéro.

Réinitialisation du chronographe

Effectuez cette procédure lorsque la trotteuse du chronographe ne revient pas

à zéro.

1. Tirez la couronne jusqu’au 2ème clic.

3. Appuyez une fois sur le bouton „B“ pour placer la trotteuse 1/20 de secon-

de du chronographe sur la position zéro.

* La trotteuse du chronographe peut être avancée rapidement en appuyant

continuellement sur le bouton „A“ ou „B“.

4. Une fois les aiguilles placées sur la position zéro, réinitialisez le temps et

ramenez la couronne en position normale.

montre a été contrôlée avant de quitter l‘usine. Malgré cela, il n‘est malheureu-

sement pas possible de toujours exclure des vices de fabrication.

Si votre montre présente des défauts, veuillez vous adresser pendant la durée

de votre garantie à notre service client. Nous accordons une garantie de 24

mois sur les vices de fabrication et les défauts matériels de votre montre à

compter de la date de l‘achat.

La garantie du fabricant est accordée sans effet sur les dispositions légales

de garantie. Cette garantie se base sur le fonctionnement du mécanisme et

l‘usinage parfait de la montre.

Les piles, l‘usure du boîtier, du verre ou du bracelet ainsi que les dommages

causés par une utilisation non conforme (accident, rupture du verre, dom-

mages liés à l‘eau, couronne fendue) ne sont pas couverts par la garantie.

Nous réparons gratuitement les défauts de fabrication pendant la durée de la

garantie. Si la montre n‘est pas réparable, elle est remplacée par un modèle

L‘impermeabilità del suo orologio DETOMASO e testata con 10 ATM. Vale a

dire che il Suo orologio esiste nonostante lavandosi mani, farsi il bagno, gocci di

pioggia , nuoto e la doccia. È adatto per tuffarsi

L‘impermeabilità all‘acqua non è una proprietà permanente: deve essere

controllata annualmente, e in particolare prima di determinate sollecitazioni,

poiché gli elementi di tenuta incorporati si allentano nella loro funzione e nell‘uso

quotidiano. Per assicurare l‘impermeabilità di un orologio si utilizzano delle gu-

arnizioni che sono soggette a un naturale processo d‘invecchiamento. Vengono

fra l‘altro a corrose da sudore e acidi.

La ISO 2281 regola i criteri che i nuovi orologi devono rispettare. La resistenza

è misurata in atm e viene annotata sul fondo della cassa. Il suo orologio DETO-

MASO ha un‘impermeabilità di 10 ATM.

La specicazione della pressione „10 ATM“ non deve essere confusa con la

profondità d‘immersione: è invece la denizione della pressione di prova. Una

pressione di prova di „10 ATM“ viene raggiunta alla profondità in acqua di 100

m. Nuotando o tuffandosi in acqua si può generare per breve tempo sugli ele-

menti di tenuta una pressione maggiore della pressione di prova garantita.

Gli orologi sono particolarmente a rischio quando dopo essere stati a lungo

esposti al sole ci si tuffa in acqua, poiché la pressione dell‘urto si somma

alla pressione negativa del raffreddamento, e ciò può facilmente causare un

danneggiamento.

Quando si sostituisce la batteria è importante controllare le guarnizioni, ed

eventuali sostituirle.

Istruzioni per la cura

Il vostro orologio è un capolavoro di elettronica e meccanica di precisione di

alta qualità. Vi indicherà l‘ora per molto tempo. Proteggete il vostro orologio

da urti, campi magnetici, forte calore, acqua e sostanze chimiche, nonché da

sfregamento meccanico. In genere gli orologi dovrebbero essere tolti prima di

andare a dormire.

Se un orologio alimentato a batteria si ferma o se viene indicata la diminuzione

della tensione della batteria, bisogna portare subito l‘orologio al negozio specia-

lizzato afnché la batteria scarica non causi danni né all‘orologio né all‘ambiente.

La sostituzione della batteria deve essere eseguita con regolarità a distanza di

1 – 1 ½ anni presso un negozio specializzato. Eventualmente fate controllare

anche la condizione delle guarnizioni, e se necessario fatele sostituire.

Nel caso di formazione di condensa (nebbia sotto il vetro) l‘orologio deve essere

portato immediatamente in un negozio specializzato, afnché l‘umidità non

arrechi danni. Quando si indossa l‘orologio, la corona dovrebbe essere sempre

schiacciata.

Uso del cronografo

Questo cronografo è in grado di misurare e indicare il tempo in unità di 1/20

di secondo, no a un massimodi 59 minuti e 59 secondi. La lancetta dei

ventesimi di secondo (1/20) del cronografo gira continuamente per 30 secondi

dopo l’avvio, e si ferma quindi alla posizione ZERO.

Misurazione del tempo con il cronografo

1. Premere il pulsante „A” per avviare il cronografo.

2. Il cronografo si avvia e si arresta ad ogni pressione del pulsate „A“.

3. Premere il pulsante „B” per azzerare il cronografo, e le lancette dei minuti e

dei secondi del cronografo torneranno alle rispettive posizioni dello ZERO.

Azzeramento del conografo

(Anche dopo la sostituzione della pila)

Questa procedura va eseguita quando la lancetta dei secondi del cronografo

non torna alla posizione ZERO.

1. Tirare la corona alla posizione di secondo scatto.

2. Premere il pulsante „A” una sola volta per impostare la lancetta dei secondi

del cronografo sulla posizione ZERO.

3. Premere il pulsante „B” una sola volta per impostare la lancetta dei ventesimi

di secondo (1/20) del cronografo sulla posizione ZERO.

* Le lancette del cronografo possono essere fatte avanzare rapidamente tenen-

do premuto il pulsante „A” o „B”.

4. Una volta riportate alla posizione ZERO le lancette, impostare l’ora e riporta-

re la corona in posizione normale.
