Battery Change:
We recommend replacing the battery in the unit
on an annual basis to ensure optimum accuracy
of the unit. Your device will also display a low
battery indicator on the screen.
Maintenance:
• Avoid placing the anemometer in areas
prone to vibration and shock as these may
damage the instrument and result in
inaccurate readings.
• Avoid exposure to sudden changes in
temperature such as direct sunlight,
extreme cold and wet or moist conditions.
• When cleaning the display and casing, use
a soft damp cloth only.
• Opening or tampering with the inner
workings of the instrument may invalidate its
warranty.
Liability Disclaimer:
• The manufacturer and supplier cannot
accept any responsibility for any incorrect
readings and any consequences that occur
should an inaccurate reading take place.
• This product is not to be used for medical
purposes or for public information.
• This product is not a toy.

CM2030 User Guide
ClimeMET is a small, family-run business specialising
in home and garden weather instruments. We’re a
team of outdoor enthusiasts made up of cyclists,
surfers, dog walkers and kayakers, and we design
our unique range of products from our workshop
in rural Suolk.
Your new CM2030 Handheld Anemometer provides
wind speed data for any outdoor activity. Operation
is straightforward but to get the most out of your
CM2030, please take time to familiarise yourself
with the features by reading this User Guide.
This manual should be kept in a safe place for
future reference as it contains important notes
on the setup and operation of your ClimeMET
instrument.
Features:
> Current wind speed measurements
> Also displays average and maximum wind
speeds
> Wind speed unit selectable: m/s, ft/m, knots,
km/h, mph, Beaufort
> Temperature display in °C or °F
> Current wind chill
> Backlight with auto-o feature
> Battery saving auto-o feature
> Low battery warning
Setting Up:
1. Firstly, use a screwdriver or î ´rm hand to
open the battery cover at the back of the
anemometer.
2. Checking the correct polarization, insert
the 1 x 3V lithium cell (CR2032) into the
battery compartment and replace the cover.
3. When the battery is inserted, all the
segments of the LCD will light up brieî µy.
Your anemometer is now operational.
4. Press and hold the MODE button for
1 second to turn the device on.
After inserting the battery, test the anemometer
by blowing directly at the impeller for about 30
seconds. The reading on the LCD should change. If
this is not the case, remove the battery wait for 30
seconds and re-insert the battery again following
the above procedure.
Wind Speed Mode:
The wind speed can be displayed in î ´ve dierent
scales: m/s, km/h, ft/min, knots, mph. A separate
Beaufort scale will also display at the side of the
screen.
1. To change the units, simply push MODE for 3
seconds until the “m/s” starts to blink.
2. Push SET to select the desired measurement
unit.
3. To conî ´rm the desired measuring unit push
MODE.
Use the above method to change between “CU”
Current, “MAX” Maximum and “AVG” average wind
speed modes.
Temperature:
Press the central °C/°F button to display
temperature readings in either Celsius
or Fahrenheit.
Wind Chill:
If you hold your anemometer up when the wind
is blowing, the current wind chill will replace
your temperature reading on the screen. It is
calculated using a mathematical formula based on
wind speed and temperature. Please note, during
low wind speeds, there is virtually no noticeable
wind chill.
LCD Backlight:
The LCD backlight is automatically switched on for
12 seconds when any key is pressed.
Power On/O:
Press and hold the MODE button for 1 second to
turn the device on.
Press and hold the MODE and SET keys at the
same time for 3 seconds to turn the unit o.
Fastening The Wrist Lanyard:
A wrist lanyard is supplied with the anemometer.
1. To fasten simply insert the clip of the lanyard
into the buckle end of the anemometer until
it clicks into place.
2. To unfasten, simply press both sides of
the clip until it can be removed from the
buckle.
