1. INTRODUCTION
Congratulations, and thank you for choosing the scala rider G4
Bluetooth® communication system for motorcycle helmets.
This manual will help you operate the , but you should rst G4
familiarize yourself with the functionality of your mobile Bluetooth
phone and/or GPS device before using the .G4
The retail box of the contains one unit. When paired with G4 G4
another , the units can be used for Intercom at a range of up to G4
one mile or 1.6 km (subject to terrain).
The is an immensely versatile communication and entertainment G4
system with a wide range of connectivity options.
Communication Options:
• 3-Way Bike-to-Bike Intercom for conference calls with up to two
other or Q2/Q2 units (up to 1 mile / 1.6 km range scala rider G4 pro
between units in Full Duplex**)G4
• 4-Way Intercom conference calls between four units on two G4
motorcycles (i.e. between two drivers and their passengers up to 1
mile / 1.6 km. range and in Full Duplex**)
• Driver-to-Passenger Intercom (backwards compatible with earlier
scala rider headsets)

• Mobile phone communication (supporting Bluetooth Handsfree* and
A2DP proles at a 10 m / 33 ft. range)

A2DP and AVRCP proles. Compatible with a variety of MP3 Players,
adapters and other audio devices
• MP3 Players (non- ) via cableBluetooth
• Built-in FM Radio
ADDITIONAL SPECIAL FEATURES: 
AGC technology (Automatic Gain Control), allowing the automatic
increase or reduction of volume according to ambient noise and
driving speed. You can also control the volume level manually.
AGC sensitivity levels can be customized to suit your personal
preferences.
VOX technology for safe and hands-free operation of some key
functions (Voice Dial, Answer Call, Reject Call). VOX sensitivity levels
can be customized to suit your personal preferences.
PLC software (Packet Loss Concealment) for real-time
compensation of audio losses in challenging environments.
Advanced software which you should update while in standby
mode, via any PC running Windows® XP™, Vista™ or Windows 7™.
Spoken status instructions, so that you always know who or what
device you are connected to at any given time.
