! Vital information
• The child seat MUST NOT be installed in a front seat WITH
AN ACTIVATED AIRBAG or on a vehicle seat position with a
belt airbag.
• The car list provided for this seat can serve as a guideline for which
positions in your vehicle the seat can fit. But you must always check your
vehicle manual if child seats of this type are allowed to be installed. The
vehicle manual is the leading guideline and must always be followed.
• This seat must be installed rear facing with a 3-point vehicle belt,
approved according to UN/ECE Regulation No.16 or other equivalent
standards.
• The floor support must always be used. Make sure that the floor support
is fully pushed down until it touches the floor of the vehicle in front of
the seat and that the indicators on the floor support are always showing
green.
• The harness straps must always be locked when the child is in the seat.
• The harness straps must be tightened without slack and not twisted.
• Make sure to tighten the harness extremely well, so that you can no
longer make a horizontal fold in the belts. When you tighten the harness,
make sure that the child is positioned well against the backrest.
• The shoulder pads contain magnets. Magnets can influence electronic
equipment such as pacemakers or other medical devices.
• Protect any part of the child’s body which is exposed to the sun.
• Always dress your child in a thin layer of clothes to avoid direct contact
between harness belts and skin. Avoid puy clothes since this prevents
being able to tighten the belts fully.
• We recommend to use the baby shell only in the most reclined position till
a stature height of 87 cm.
• Remove the baby shell when the child is taller than 87 cm.
• You must stop using this seat and change to the next suitable seat when
ONE of these conditions is met: 1) The child is taller than 125 cm; 2)
The child incl. clothes weighs more than 36 kg; 3) The shoulder height
exceeds the highest position of the shoulder belts; 4) The top of the ears
is above the highest point of the headrest in the highest position.
• Replace the seat if it has been in a collision where the speed was 10
km/h and above or if there is a suspicion that the seat has been damaged
! It is important that you read this user manual BEFORE
installing your seat. Incorrect installation could endanger your
child.

Components
Preparing the child seat for installation
Preparing the vehicle for installation on the back seat
Preparing the vehicle for installation on the
passenger seat
1. The front brace is delivered as a separate part and must be mounted to
the seat before using the seat in a vehicle. Once installed, the front brace
can only be taken o with the correct tools.
2. To mount the front brace: Keep the front brace handle pushed in while
sliding both tubes into the openings in the seat base on both sides. Slide
them all the way in. (2)
3. Decide with how much leg space you want to install the seat by adjusting
the position of the front brace. To do so, push the front brace handle in
and slide the front brace in or out and let it click into place. (2)
4. Tip: It’s easiest to adjust the front brace position already outside the
vehicle.
1. Bring the backrest of the back seat into upright position (if applicable to
your car).
2. To give yourself space for the installation, move the front seat forward as
far as possible and put it into upright position if needed.
3. If your vehicle is equipped with lower tether anchorage points, you don’t
need further preparations and can start with installing the child seat.
Check your vehicle manual to ensure that the anchorages are allowed to
be used with lower tethers. (3)
1. Adjust the backrest of the front seat into an upright position.
2. ALWAYS deactivate the front airbag. If this is not possible in your vehicle,
you cannot install this seat on the front seat.
3. Move the front seat and/or adjust the front brace position, so that the
back of the child seat will be in contact with the dashboard. If having
contact is not possible, then you should move the front seat as far back
as possible, so that you have a preferable minimum distance of 25 cm
between child seat and dashboard.
4. If your vehicle is equipped with lower tether anchorage points, you don’t
need further preparations and can start with installing the child seat.
Check your vehicle manual to ensure that the anchorages are allowed to
be used with lower tethers.
5. Move the floor support away from the seat and upwards until it locks into
the usage position and does not dangle anymore. (5)
6. For an easier installation once in the car, bring the seat into the most
upright position with the recline handle, and keep the floor support in the
shortest position.

1. Place the child seat onto the vehicle seat with the front brace positioned
against the backrest of the vehicle seat. (4)
2. Remove the yellow cap from the floor support. The alarm sound will stop
when the seat is installed correctly with the floor support in contact with
the floor of the vehicle.
3. Extend the floor support with the floor support handle, so that it is in
contact with the vehicle floor while the child seat sits flush on the vehicle
seat. This prevents the child seat from tipping backwards. (5)
4. Pull the vehicle belt out long and combine shoulder belt and lap belt with
one hand. With the other hand, guide the belt tongue through the first belt
guider, through the tensioner-lock-o, through the second belt guider and
click it into the buckle. Make sure both belts sit underneath the ledge on
the base and fully inside the tensioner-lock-o. (6, 7)
5. To remove slack in the belt, first pull on ONLY the shoulder belt near the
buckle. Then, pull on the shoulder belt on the door side while making sure
the child seat does not move. (8)
6. When all slack is removed, rotate the tensioner knob clockwise at the
backside of the seat. When doing so, the tensioner-lock-o at the front
side will close. Continue rotating the knob to tension the belt. You can
rotate until the knob will click and doesn’t tension any further. (9)
7. Note: check that the vehicle belt buckle is not in conflict with the belt
guider. Should this be the case, you need to install the seat with a larger
front brace position.
8. Check that the floor support is still in contact with the vehicle floor and
adjust if needed.
9. The height indicator of the floor support shows green when the floor
support is in contact with the floor.
10. The alarm sound stops when the floor support height indicators show
green and it is in contact with the floor.
11. Push down the lower tether release button and pull out the lower tethers.
Connect the hook to the lower tether anchorages of the vehicle. Repeat
the same procedure on the other side. (10)
12. Ensure that both lower tethers are connected and tight. By wiggling the
seat from side to side, they will become more tight.
13. Make sure that you can still see the yellow line on each lower tether strap.
If you cannot see it, there is not enough tension on the tethers. (11, 12)
14. If you have installed the child seat on the back seat: Move the front
vehicle seat backwards, so that it is in light contact with the child seat. If
this is not possible, then move the front seat forward to create as much
distance as possible between the child seat and front seat, preferably at

15. Check if the installation is tight and stable: the vehicle belt should be
very tight without slack and locked by the tensioner-lock-o. Both lower
tethers should be connected and tight and have the yellow line visible,
and the floor support should be in contact with the vehicle floor. Repeat
the same installation if necessary.
16. The seat is delivered with removable SIP+ (side impact protection +).
This extra side impact protection should be used on the doorside of the
vehicle. To connect your SIP+ version, follow the instruction drawings
on the SIP+ included with your seat. The seat already oers high level
integrated side impact protection. This extra side impact protection
improves the protection in the side impact still further. (13)
17. Do not use the SIP+ on the seat when the space between seat and door of
the vehicle is too small, which might lead to a situation where the seat is
not positioned correctly on the vehicle seat.
18. In case the SIP+ sits at the height of the door window and your car is
equipped with side curtain airbags, then do not use the SIP+ if there is
less than 10cm distance between the SIP+ and the window.
1. To remove the seat from the vehicle, first release the lower tethers with
the release button and hook o the lower tether hooks.
2. Release some of the tension of the tensioner by turning the tensioner
knob counter-clockwise. Then you can push the knob towards the seat to
open the lock-o. If pushing is dicult, turning the knob further counter-
clockwise releases the tension and opens the lock-o at its end position.
Make sure that the tensioner is totally back to its starting position with an
open lock-o at the front. (14)
3. Release the vehicle belt from the buckle and guide the belt back through
the belt guiders.
4. Bring the floor support into its shortest position while pressing the floor
support adjuster button.
5. Take the seat out of the vehicle.
6. If you want to store the seat, you can bring the floor support into transport
position by pulling it downwards and pushing it against the seat.
Removing the child seat from the vehicle

1. While pressing the button of the central adjuster, pull the shoulder belts
away from the seat with a flat hand. Make sure to pull the belts evenly so
that they stay at the same length. Do not pull on the shoulder pads, as they
are fixed and cannot move. (15)
2. Open the harness buckle.
3. To keep the straps out of the way, place the shoulder pads onto the
magnets on each side of the seat shell. (15)
4. Place your child into the seat and adjust the position of the shoulder belts
and headrest if needed - see section “Adjusting to the growing child”.
5. Place the shoulder belts over the child’s shoulders and close the buckle:

6. Pull the central adjuster strap straight away from the seat to tighten the
harness. Make sure to tighten the harness extremely well, so that you can
no longer make a horizontal fold in the belts. When you tighten the harness,
make sure that the child is positioned well against the backrest. (15)
Shoulder belt/headrest height
• The height of the shoulder belts and the headrest can be adjusted by
pulling the headrest handle upwards at the back of the headrest and
moving the headrest up or down. To be able to do so, the harness buckle
has to be opened and the straps have to be pulled out. (16)
• To find the right height for your child, move the headrest all the way up,
place your child into the seat, and then move the headrest downwards
until it sits directly on your child’s shoulders.
• Important for use on the front seat: you should always have a minimum
distance of 5 cm between the car’s front shield and the top of the child’s
head or headrest, whichever is higher. If your car does not enable this for
the highest headrest positions, you need to move the seat to the back seat
instead.
Recline angle
• The recline angle can be adjusted to how it is comfortable for your child.
To do so, access the recline handle at the underside of the seat shell. (17)
Leg space
• You can decide with how much leg space you want to install the seat by
adjusting the front brace position. This needs to be done before installing
the seat. See section “Preparing the child seat for installation”.

• Do take care when you remove the cover, as re-fitting the cover is done in
reverse.
• The cover of the headrest can be taken o separately.

• When washing the seat cover, make sure to follow the wash label on the
inside of the cover.
Removing and refitting the cover
Baby shell
• The baby shell must be used from birth and can be used until a stature
height of 87 cm. Don’t take the baby shell out before the baby is 61 cm tall
and can sit upright by themselves.
• The baby shell can be taken out of the seat shell by guiding the harness
through the slots of the baby shell.
• The baby shell can be positioned back in the seat shell by guiding the
harness through the slots of the baby shell. Use the baby shell only in the
most reclined position of the seat. Make sure the harness is positioned
correctly, so the harness can be pulled tight without twisting. (18)
• The child seat MUST NOT be installed in a front passenger
seat WITH AN ACTIVATED AIRBAG.
• The child seat MUST NOT be installed in a position where the
vehicle belt is equipped with a belt airbag that cannot be deactivated.
• The floor support must always be used. Make sure that the floor support
is fully pushed down and in full contact with the vehicle floor.
• Make sure that the vehicle belt is installed tight, the lock-o is closed and
tensioned and that both lower tethers are connected with the vehicle and
tensioned tight.

Anpassa bilstolen till det växande barnet
Höjd på huvudstöd/axelbälten
• Höjden på axelbältena och huvudstödet kan justeras genom att dra
huvudstödshandtaget uppåt på baksidan av huvudstödet och föra det
uppåt eller nedåt. För att kunna göra detta måste bälteslåset öppnas och
bältesremmarna måste dras ut. (16)
• För att hitta rätt höjd för ditt barn, för huvudstödet helt upp, placera ditt
barn i bilbarnstolen och för sedan huvudstödet nedåt tills det når ditt
barns axlar.
• Viktigt att notera vid användning i framsätet: du ska alltid ha ett
avstånd på minst 5 cm mellan bilens framruta och högsta punkten på
bilbarnstolen eller barnets huvud, beroende på vilket som är högst. Om
din bil inte frigör detta utrymme på de högsta huvudstödspositionerna
måste du flytta bilbarnstolen till baksätet istället.
Sittvinklar/Lutningslägen
• Sittvinkeln kan justeras efter ditt barns önskemål. För att justera, ta tag i
handtaget för justering av viloläget på undersidan av sittskalet. (17)
Benutrymme
• Du kan bestämma med hur mycket benutrymme du vill installera
bilbarnstolen genom att justera frontbygelns position. Detta måste
göras innan bilstolen installeras. Se avsnitt “Förbereda bilbarnstolen för
installation”.
Babyinsats
• Babyinsatsen måste användas från födseln och kan användas till en höjd
på 87 cm. Ta inte ut insatsen innan barnet är 61 cm långt och kan sitta
upprätt själv.
• Baby insatsen kan tas ut ur stolen genom att bältet guidas genom
öppningarna i ryggen.
• Baby insatsen kan sättas tillbaka i stolen genom att bältet igen guidas
genom öppningarna i ryggen. (18)
Placera barnet i bilbarnstolen
1. Medan du trycker på knappen på centraljusteraren drar du axelbältena ut
från bilbarnstolen. Se till att dra i båda bältena samtidigt så att de håller
samma längd. Dra inte i axelkuddarna, eftersom de är fasta och inte kan
röra sig. (15)
2. Öppna bälteslåset på internselen.
3. För att hålla bilbarnstolens bälten ur vägen, placera axelkuddarna på
magneterna på vardera sidan om stolsskalet. (15)
4. Placera ditt barn i bilstolen och justera positionen på axelbälten och
huvudstöd vid behov - se avsnittet “Anpassa bilstolen till det växande
barnet”
5. Placera axelbältena över barnets axlar och lås spännet: KLICK! (15)
6. Dra centraljusteringsremmen ut från bilstolen för att spänna barnets
bälte. Se till att spänna bältet extremt väl så du inte längre kan göra en
horisontell vikning av bältet. När du spänner bältet, se till att barnet är
placerat väl mot ryggstödet i bilstolen. (15)
Ta bort bilbarnstolen från bilen
1. För att ta loss bilbarnstolen ur bilen börja med att frigöra
underförankringsbanden genom att trycka in frigörningsknappen till
underförankringsbanden och lossa dem från bilens fästpunkter.
2. Släpp på spänningen i bilens bälte genom att vrida spännvredet moturs.
Sedan kan du trycka på vredet mot sätet för att öppna låset. Om det är
svårt att trycka, frigör spänningen ytterligare genom att vrida vredet
moturs tills du når dess slutposition, då öppnas spännlåset. Säkerställ
att spännvredet är helt tillbaka till sitt startläge med en öppet spännlås
framtill. (14)
3. Frigör bilbältets han-del från honan och för bältet genom bilbarnstolens
guider och krokar.
4. För säkerhetsbenet till sitt kortaste läge medan du trycker på
justeringsknappen för säkerhetsbenet.
5. Ta bilbarnstolen ut ur bilen.
6. Om du vill förvara bilstolen plant kan du sätta säkerhetsbenet i
transportläge genom att dra det nedåt och skjuta det mot bilstolen.

6. Kun kaikki löysyys on poistettu, kierrä kiristimen nuppia istuimen
takaosassa myötäpäivään. Tällöin etupuolella oleva kiristimen lukitus
sulkeutuu. Jatka nupin kiertämistä hihnan kiristämiseksi. Voit kiertää,
kunnes nuppi napsahtaa eikä kiristy enää. (9)
7. Huomautus: tarkista, ettei ajoneuvon vyön solki ole kosketuksissa
istuimen vyönohjaimen kanssa. Jos näin on, sinun on asennettava istuin
taaemmas säätämällä etutukirautaa.
8. Tarkista, että tukirauta on edelleen kosketuksessa ajoneuvon lattiaan.
Säädä tarvittaessa.
9. Tukiraudan väriindikaattori muuttu vihreäksi kun tukijalka on tukevasti
lattiaa vasten.
10. Hälytysääni loppuu kun tukiraudan korkeudensäätö indikaattori on
tukevast auton lattiaa vasten.
11. Paina alahihnan vapautuspainiketta ja vedä alemmat kiinnikkeet ulos.
Liitä koukku ajoneuvon alempiin kiinnityspisteisiin. Toista sama menettely
toisella puolella. (10)
12. Varmista, että molemmat alakiinnikkeet ovat kiinni ja kunnolla kiristetyt.
Heiluttamalla istuinta sivulta toiselle ne kiristyvät.
13. Varmista, että näet edelleen keltaisen viivan kaikissa alemmissa
kiinnityshihnoissa. Jos et näe sitä, kiinnikkeissä ei ole tarpeeksi
jännitystä. (11, 12)
14. Jos olet asentanut lastenistuimen takaistuimelle: Siirrä ajoneuvon
etuistuinta taaksepäin niin, että se on kevyessä kosketuksessa
lastenistuimen kanssa. Jos tämä ei ole mahdollista, siirrä etuistuinta
eteenpäin luodaksesi mahdollisimman paljon etäisyyttä lastenistuimen ja
etuistuimen välille, mieluiten vähintään 25 cm.
15. Tarkista, onko asennus tiukka ja vakaa: Auton turvavyön hihnan tulee olla
erittäin tiukka ilman löysää ja lukita kiristimen lukituksella. Molempien
alakiinnikkeiden tulee olla kytkettynä ja tiukkoja, ja niissä on oltava
keltainen viiva, ja tukiraudan tulee olla kosketuksissa ajoneuvon lattiaan.
Toista sama asennus tarvittaessa.
16. Istuin toimitetaan irrotettavalla SIP+(side impact protection +). Tätä
irrotettavaa lisä sivutörmäyssuojaa on tarkoitus käyttää istuimen
ovenpuoleisella puolella. Asentaaksesi SIP+ Sivutörmäyssuojan seuraa
senmukana tullutta asennusohjetta. Istuin itsessään antaa erittäin hyvän
suojan sivutörmäyksessä, mutta SIP+ parantaa näitä ominaisuuksia
enisestään. (13)
17. Älä käytä SIP+ -sivutörmäyssuojaa istuimella, kun istuimen ja ajoneuvon
oven välinen tila on liian pieni, mikä voi johtaa tilanteeseen, jossa istuin ei
ole kunnolla paikoillaan.
18. Jos SIP+ jää oven ikkunan korkeudelle ja autosi on varustettu
sivuturvatyynyillä, älä käytä SIP+ -laitetta, jos SIP+: n ja ikkunan välinen
etäisyys on alle 10 cm.
Lastenistuimen irrottaminen ajoneuvosta
1. Irrottaaksesi istuimen ajoneuvosta, vapauta ensin alakiinnikkeet
vapautuspainikkeella ja irrota alemmat kiinnityskoukut.
2. Vapauta osa kiristimen kireydestä kääntämällä kiristysnuppia
vastapäivään. Tämän jälkeen voit avata lukituksen työntämällä nuppia
istuinta kohti. Jos työntäminen on vaikeaa, nupin kääntäminen edelleen
vastapäivään vapauttaa jännityksen ja avaa lukituksen päätyasennossaan.
Varmista, että kiristin on täysin takaasennossa ja lukitus edessä on auki.

3. Irrota ajoneuvon vyö soljesta ja ohjaa hihna takaisin vyönohjaimien läpi.
4. Vie tukirauta lyhyimpään asentoon samalla, kun painat tukiraudan
säätöpainiketta
5. Nosta istuin pois autosta.
6. Jos haluat säilyttää istuimen, voit nostaa tukiraudan kuljetusasentoon
vetämällä sitä alaspäin ja työntämällä sitä istuinta vasten.
Lapsen asettaminen istuimelle
1. Kun painat keskuslukituksen painketta, vedä olkahihnat irti istuimesta
kämmenellä. Varmista, että vedät hihnoja tasaisesti, jotta ne pysyvät
samalla pituudella. Älä vedä olkapehmusteista, koska ne ovat kiinteitä
eivätkä voi liikkua. (15)
2. Avaa vöiden lukko.
3. Pidä vyöt poissa tieltä nostamalla olkavyöt istuimen kummallakin puolella
oleviin magneetteihin kiinni. (15)
4. Aseta lapsi istuimelle ja säädä tarvittaessa olkahihnojen ja pääntuen
asentoa - katso kohta “Kasvava lapsi”.
5. Aseta olkahihnat lapsen hartioiden päälle ja sulje solki: KLIKK! (15)
6. Vedä vöiden säätöhihnaa suoraan istuimesta kiristääksesi valjaat. Kiristä
valjaat erittäin tiukasti, siten ettet voi enää tehdä vaakasuoraa taitosta
vyöhön. Kun kiristät valjaita, varmista, että lapsi on hyvin selkänojaa
vasten. (15)

Takuu
• Tuotteella on 24 kuukauden takuu materiaali- ja valmistusvirheiden
osalta, poissulkien istuimen kangasosat sekä istuimen vyöt. Mahdollisen
virheen ilmaantuessa ottakaa yhteys lähimpään valtuutettuun Besafe
jälleenmyyjään.
• Takuu on voimassa vain, kun tuotetta käytetään asianmukaisesti ja
huolellisesti. Ota yhteyttä jälleenmyyjääsi, hän päättää palautetaanko
istuin valmistajalle korjausta varten. Tuotetta ei vaihdeta uuteen eikä
rahoja palauteta. Tehdyt korjaukset eivät pidennä takuuaikaa.
• Takuu ei ole voimassa: mikäli kuitti ei ole tallella, mikäli virheet johtuvat
vääränlaisesta käytöstä, mikäli virheet johtuvat laiminlyönnistä,
väärinkäytöstä tai huolimattomuudesta.
• Istuinta EI SAA asentaa auton etuistuimelle, jossa on
AKTIIVINEN TURVATYYNY.
• Lastenistuinta EI SAA asentaa paikkaan, jossa ajoneuvon
turvavyö on varustettu turvatyynyllä, jota ei voi deaktivoida.
• Tukirautaa on käytettävä aina. Varmista, että tukirauta on
painettu kokonaan alas ja täysin kosketuksissa ajoneuvon lattiaan.
• Varmista, että ajoneuvon turvavyö on asennettu tiukasti, lukitus on
suljettu ja kiristetty ja että molemmat alakiinnikkeet on kytketty
ajoneuvoon ja kiristetty tiukasti.
! Varoitus: mahdollinen väärinkäyttö
• Kiinnitä huomiota siihen, miten poistat istuinkankaan, sillä sen paikoilleen
asettaminen tapahtuu päinvastaisessa järjestyksessä.

Istuinkanaan irrottaminen ja asentaminen
• Varmistamalla tuotteen, paristojen ja elektronisten osien asianmukaisen
hävittämisen, autat ehkäisemään jätteiden epäasianmukaisesta
käsittelystä mahdollisesti aiheutuvia kielteisiä vaikutuksia ympäristölle ja
ihmisten terveydelle.
• Ota yhteyttä paikalliseen viranomaiseen saadaksesi lisätietoja
lähimmästä keräyspisteestä.
TÄRKEÄÄ: Ennen istuimen hävittämistä sen käyttöiän
lopussa
Kasvava lapsi
Olkahihnan/niskatuen korkeus
• Olkahihnojen ja pääntuen korkeutta voidaan säätää vetämällä pääntuen

• Säädä lapsellesi oikea korkeus siirtämällä niskatuki kokonaan ylös,
asettamalla lapsi istuimelle ja siirtämällä sitten niskatukea alaspäin,
kunnes se on linjassa lapsen hartioiden kanssa.
• Tärkeää kun istuinta käytetään etuistuimella: auton tuulilasin ja
lapsen pään tai niskatuen yläosan välillä on aina oltava vähintään 5
cm: n etäisyys sen mukaan, kumpi on korkeampi. Jos autosi ei salli
tätä korkeimmissa niskatuen asennoissa, sinun on siirrettävä istuin
takaistuimelle.
Kallistaminen
• Kallistuskulma voidaan säätää lapsellesi sopivaksi. Käytä tätä varten
istuinrungon alapuolella olevaa kallistuskahvaa. (17)
Jalkatila
• Voit päättää, kuinka paljon jalkatilaa haluat asentaa istuimen säätämällä
etutukikaaren asentoa. Tämä on tehtävä ennen istuimen asentamista.

Pienennin
• Pienennintä on käytettävä syntymästä lähtien, ja sitä voidaan käyttää 87
cm: n pituuteen asti. Älä ota pienennintä pois ennen kuin vauva on 61 cm
pitkä ja voi istua pystyasennossa yksin.
• Pienennin voidaan poistaa istuimesta vetämällä istuimen vyöt
pienentimen vyöaukkojen läpi.
• Pienennin voidaan asentaa takaisin istuimeen pujottamalla vyöt
pienentimen vyöaukkojen läpi. Pienenntä suositellaan käytettäväksi
ainoastaan silloin kuin istuin on kaikkein kaltevimmassa asennossa.
Tarkista, että pienennin on oikein asennettu niin, että vyöt kiristyvät
