Introduction
EZWrite 6 is an interactive whiteboard software solution that allows you to turn your
device into a digital canvas.
EZWrite 6 supports multi-platforms and allows users to collaborate easily with different
devices. See how to access different platforms from below:
• Windows version: Download the latest version of EZWrite from the EZWrite 6 website.
Check out Recommended specifications on page 63 before downloading the software.

The interface of EZWrite 6 includes three main segments: Menu, Toolbar and Navigation
bar.

Log in to EZWrite 6 Web
Visit the URL below to access the EZWrite Web version.
URL: https://ezwrite6.benq.com/main/#/
1. Go to the URL and click Sign in with Google to create a new room.
2. Enter your account and password to sign in and continue to EZWrite 6.
Currently, EZWrite Web only supports Chrome, Firefox and Safari. Refer to Supported browser
version on page 63 for more information.

Settings
Click to open the settings window.
• For Import maximum quality and Export maximum quality, you can select Full
HD or 4K.
• To see if the software is the latest version, refer to General
>
Current version and click
to check for updates.
• In Windows version, you can submit your problems by selecting Report issues to export
log files. For Android version, contact BenQ Support for help.
For importing or exporting a file, the file smaller than the maximum quality will remain the same
resolution. When exceeding the maximum quality, it will be compressed to the set value.

• In Android version, EZWrite 6 supports handwriting recognition. Click Handwriting
recognition language to select the language for recognition. Refer to Handwriting
recognition on page 20 for more information.
• In Android version, EZ Floating Tool can be minimized and shown on screen as a pencil
icon ( ) by default. In Settings
( ) >
General, switch off Keep floating tool on
screen to disable the function. Refer to Setting EZ Floating Tool (keep on/off screen) on
page 60 for more information.

Saving files
EZWrite 6 allows you to save drawings or text files either in the internal memory of your
device or in connected external storage devices.
Windows and Web version
Click to save the session as an IWB File.
• Note that when you save a file for the first time, you can choose which folder to save the
file in. Clicking again overwrites the original file.
• If you want to save the file in other formats, click . See Export on page 9 for more
information.
Currently, only handwritings and images can be saved/exported into .iwb file. Note that objects such
as sticky notes and 3D shapes cannot be saved and reloaded for future editing.

Android version
For Android version, new projects are automatically saved in your device folder ( ).
• Click to open the file folder and choose the file you want to edit. Click to
Rename, Delete, or Export the file.

Share by QR code
• Available on Windows and Android version.

To save the file in the cloud for download:
1. Select up to 30 pages to share and then choose to save as images or PDF. Click
Confirm to generate the QR Code.
2. The file will be saved to the cloud with a corresponding QR code, and the QR code will
appear on the screen as shown below.
3. Scan the QR code with a mobile device and the image/pdf will appear on the device’s
default web browser. Follow the browser’s saving procedure to save the file.
• Images saved to the cloud will be stored there for download for only 30 minutes.
• In Toolbox > Team post, a corresponded QR code will be created for each drawing board
shown. Refer to Team post on page 40 for more information.

Share by e-mail
• Available on Windows and Android version.

To share a project by e-mail:
1. Select up to 30 pages to share and then choose to save as images or PDF.
2. Click Confirm to open the default email application on your device
• For Android version: Before sending an email, make sure you have installed an email app on
your display for a smoother user experience.
• For Windows version: Currently, the e-mail function only supports using Microsoft Outlook.

Icon Function Description
Select Click to select multi-objects. Refer to Object control on page
13 for more information.
Pen
Three pen types are provided: normal pen, highlighter and
dual pen (Android only). Refer to Annotation on page 18 for
more information.
Eraser
Three eraser types are provided: finger eraser, strikethrough
eraser and clear all. Refer to Erasers on page 22 for more
information.
Text
Click to input text. You can change the font by clicking the
text to open the editing menu. Refer to Editing tools on page
13 for more information about editing.
Insert objects Click to insert sticky notes, shapes or templates. Refer to
Insert objects on page 23 for more information.
Import files Click to import a file into EZWrite 6. Refer to Importing files
on page 28 for more information.
Toolbox Click to choose geometry tools. Refer to Toolbox on page 30
for more information.

Object control
In selection mode , you can select, rotate, move, duplicate, delete, and scale multiple
objects at the same time. You can also adjust object layers by pinning objects to top or
bottom layers.
Editing tools
Icon Function
Click to crop the object.
Click to lock an object so that it can’t be edited.
Click to delete the object.
Click to open more functions.
/Click to change the order of layers.
Click to copy the object.
Click to add a hyperlink to the object. Refer to Adding a hyperlink to
an object on page 17 for more information.
Click to adjust the size of the object.
Click to rotate the object.
Click to convert handwriting to text. Refer to Handwriting recognition
on page 20 for more information.

Click to group or ungroup the objects. Refer to Grouping and
ungrouping on page 16 for more information.
