Safety Guidelines for Power Cord and Power Outlet
Be sure that the power outlet is located near the unit, so that it is easily accessible. Use a power cable that is properly
grounded. Always use the AC cords for each country listed in Table A below. In other areas, use an AC cord which meets local
safety standards.
NOTE: The female receptacle of the cord set must meet IEC-60320 requirements and may look like Figure 1.
For the United States and Canada
In the United States and Canada the male plug is a NEMA5-15 style (Figure 2), UL Listed, and CSA Labeled. For units which
are mounted on a desk or table, type SVT cord sets may be used. The cord set must be selected according to the current
rating for your unit. Please consult Table B below for the selection criteria for power cords used in the United States and
Canada.
For the United Kingdom.
IF THE FITTED MOULDED PLUG IS UNSUITABLE FOR THE SOCKET OUTLET THEN THE PLUG SHOULD BE CUT
OFF AND DISPOSED OF SAFELY.
DANGER: THERE IS A DANGER OF SEVERE ELECTRICAL SHOCK IF THE CUT OFF PLUG IS INSERTED INTO AN
APPROPRIATE SOCKET.
If a new plug is to be fitted, please observe the wiring code as shown below.
If in any doubt, please consult a qualified electrician.
WARNING: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED.
IMPORTANT: The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
Green-and-Yellow: Earth
Blue: Neutral
Brown: Live
If the coloured wires of the mains lead of this appliance do not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the
terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured GREEN-AND-YELLOW must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked by the
letter E or by the Earth symbol or coloured GREEN or GREEN-AND-YELLOW.
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter N or
coloured BLACK. The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked with
the letter L or coloured RED.
For Other European Countries
In Europe you must use a cord set which is appropriate for the receptacles in your country (Figure 3). The cord set is HAR-
Certified, and a special mark that will appear on the outer sheath or on the insulation of one of the inner conductors.

Normes de sécurité pour cordon d’alimentation et prise électrique
Assurez-vous que la prise électrique est située à proximité de l’unité de sorte qu’elle soit facilement accessible. Utilisez un
cordon d’alimentation avec mise à la terre. Utilisez toujours le cordon d’alimentation pour chaque pays indiqué dans le tableau
A ci-dessous. Pour les autres régions, utilisez un cordon d’alimentation conforme aux normes locales.
NOTE: Le réceptacle femelle du cordon doit être conforme à la prescription IEC-60320 et peut ressembler à la figure 1.
Pour les Etats-Unis et le Canada
Aux Etats-Unis et au Canada, la prise mâle est du type NEMA5-15 (figure 2), listée UL avec une étiquette CSA. Pour des
unités montées sur un bureau ou une table, des cordons de type SVT peuvent être utilisés. Le cordon doit être choisi en
fonction de l’intensité nominale de votre unité. Consultez le tableau B ci-dessous pour les critères de choix de cordons d’
alimentation utilisés aux Etats-Unis et au Canada.
Pour les autres pays européens
En Europe, vous pouvez utiliser un cordon qui convient au réceptacle dans votre pays. Le cordon est certifié HAR et une
marque spéciale apparaîtra sur l’enveloppe extérieure ou sur l’isolant de l’un des conducteurs intérieurs.

Stellen Sie sicher, daß das Gerät möglichst in der Nähe der Netzsteckdose aufgestellt und installiert wird, damit diese
Netzsteckdose jederzeit leicht zugänglich ist. Verwenden Sie nur ein Netzkabel mit sachgerechtem Erdungsanschluß.
Verwenden Sie stets die in der untenstehenden Tabelle A für das jeweilige Land angegebenen bestimmten WS-Netzkabel. In
den anderen Regionen verwenden Sie ein WS-Netzkabel, das den jeweiligen örtlichen Sicherheitsbestimmungen entspricht.
ANMERKUNG: Der Fassungsstecker des Netzkabels muß den Anforderungen des IEC-60320 entsprechen und kann wie in
Abbildung 1 gezeigt aussehen.
Andere europäische Länder
In Europa muß das Netzkabel verwendet werden, das an die Steckdosen im jeweiligen Land angeschlossen werden kann.
Der Kabelsatz muß HAR-zertifiziert und mit einem Spezialzeichen auf der Ummantelung oder Isolierung einer der inneren
Adern versehen sein.
