Important notes about your
LCD TV
The following symptoms are technical limitations of LCD
Display technology and are not an indication of malfunction;
therefore, Toshiba is not responsible for perceived issues
resulting from these symptoms.
1) An afterimage (ghost) may appear on the screen if a fixed, non-
moving image is displayed for a long period of time. The
afterimage is not permanent and will disappear in a short period of
time.
2) The LCD panel contained in this TV is manufactured using an
extremely high level of precision technology; however, there may
be an occasional pixel (dot of light) that does not operate properly
(does not light, remains constantly lit, etc.). This is a structural
property of LCD technology, is not a sign of malfunction, and is
not covered under your warranty. Such pixels are not visible when
the picture is viewed from a normal viewing distance.
Note: Interactive video games that involve shooting a “gun”
type of joystick at an on-screen target may not work with this
TV.
Your TV can be connected to the Internet to support firmware
update, remote scheduling and e-mail capabilities. You should
carefully review the information in this manual before
connecting the TV to the Internet or using these features.
• If you use the remote scheduling capability of the TV, you
will need a dedicated e-mail account for use by the TV only.
Use of non-dedicated accounts (e.g. an account used to
receive a personal e-mail) will result in the deletion of e-mail
in those accounts–even if they are used only for “test”
purposes. See page 75 for more information.
• If you set up any personal e-mail accounts on the TV, anyone
with access to the TV will be able to read e-mail from those
accounts unless you lock the profile for each e-mail account.
See page 71 for more information.
• If you connect the TV to the Internet, anyone with access to
the TV will be able to configure the TV to access e-mail
accounts for which they have account access information
(user name, password and server addresses). See page 71 for
more information.
