SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Read all of the instructions before using this appliance. When using
this appliance, always exercise basic safety precautions, including
the following:
1) Use this appliance only for its intended purpose as described in this use and
care guide.
2) This refrigerator must be properly installed in accordance with the installation
instructions before it is used. See grounding instructions in the installation
section.
3) This refrigerator should not be recessed or built into an enclosed cabinet. It is
designed for freestanding installation only.
4) Never unplug your refrigerator by pulling on the power cord. Always grasp
the plug firmly and pull straight out from the outlet.
5) Repair or replace immediately, all electric service cords that have become
frayed or otherwise damaged. Do not use a cord that shows cracks or
abrasion damage along its length, the plug or the connector end.
6) If your old refrigerator is not being used, we recommend that you remove the
doors. This will reduce the possibility of danger to children.
7) After your refrigerator is in operation, do not touch the cold surfaces in the
freezer compartment, particularly when hands are damp or wet. Skin may
adhere to these extremely cold surfaces.
8) Do not refreeze foods which have been thawed completely. The United States
Department of Agriculture in Home and Garden Bulletin No. 69 reads: “…
You may safely refreeze frozen foods that have thawed if they still contain ice
crystals or if they are still cold–below 40˚F”
“…Thawed ground meats, poultry, or fish that have any off-odor or off-color
should not be refrozen and should not be eaten. Thawed ice cream should
be discarded. If the odor or color of any food is poor or questionable,
discard it. The food may be dangerous to eat.”
“…Even partial thawing and re-freezing reduce the eating quality of foods,
particularly fruits, vegetables, and prepared foods. The eating quality of red
meats is affected less than that of many other foods. Use refrozen foods as
soon as possible, to save as much of their eating quality as you can.”
9) Do not use any electrical device or any sharp instrument in defrosting your
refrigerator.

Installing Your Refrigerator
Unpacking Your Refrigerator
1. Remove all packaging material. This includes the foam base and all
adhesive tape holding the refrigerator accessories inside and
outside.
2. Inspect and remove any remains of packing, tape or printed
materials before powering on the refrigerator.
Proper Air Circulation
• Toassureyourrefrigeratorworksatthemaximumefficiencyitwas
designed for, you should install it in a location where there is proper air
circulation, plumbing and electrical connections.
• Thefollowingarerecommendedclearancesaroundtherefrigerator:
Sides……………3/4” (19mm)
Top....................2” (50mm)
Back..................2” (50mm)
Electrical Requirement
• Makesurethereisasuitablepoweroutlet(115volts,15ampsoutlet)
with proper grounding to power the refrigerator.
• Avoidtheuseofthreeplugadaptersorcuttingoffthethirdgrounding
in order to accommodate a two plug outlet. This is a dangerous practice
since it provides no effective grounding for the refrigerator and may
result in shock hazard.
Use of Extension Cords
• Avoidtheuseofanextensioncordbecauseofpotentialsafetyhazards
under certain conditions. If it is necessary to use an extension cord,
use only a 3-wire extension cord that has a 3-blade grounding plug
and a 3-slot outlet that will accept the plug. The marked rating of the
extension cord must be equal to or greater than the electrical rating of
the appliance.
Install Limitations
• Donotinstallyourrefrigeratorinanylocationnotproperlyinsulatedor
heated e.g. garage etc. Your refrigerator was not designed to operate
in temperature settings below 55˚ Fahrenheit.
• Selectasuitablelocationfortherefrigeratoronahardevensurface
away from direct sunlight or heat source, e.g. radiators, baseboard
heaters, cooking appliances etc. Any floor unevenness should be
corrected with the leveling legs located at the bottom.
• Iftherefrigeratorisnotleveled,adjustthefrontlevelinglegsbyturning
counterclockwise to raise the refrigerator and clockwise to lower it.

Leveling Your Refrigerator
•Yourrefrigeratorhastwolevelinglegswhicharelocatedinthefrontcornersof
your refrigerator. After properly placing your refrigerator in its final position,
you can level your refrigerator.
•Levelingslegscanbeadjustedbyturningthemcounterclockwisetoraise
your refrigerator or by turning them clockwise to lower your refrigerator. The
refrigerator door will close easier when the leveling legs are raised.
Door Alignment
1. Remove the top hinge cover screw and then remove the top hinge cover.
(see fig. # 1)
2. Remove the top hinge cover using a flat head screw driver. Gently lift
from the rear of the hinge and slide forward.
3. Loosen the top hinge screws using a phillips head screwdriver.
4. Adjust the door or put a spacer in between and then tighten the screws.
5. Replace the top hinge cover by aligning the rear of the cover with the
rear of the hinge. Press firmly on the front of the cover until it snaps in
place.

Reversing the Door
1. Remove the top hinge cover screw and then remove the top hinge cover. (see
fig. # 1)
2. Using a Phillips Head Screwdriver, loosen and remove the screws holding the
top hinge in place. (see fig. # 1)
3. Remove the top hinge and carefully lift off the door.
4. Remove the screw hole plug from the opposite side and insert the plug in the
screw hole openings of the just removed screws. (see fig. # 2)
5. Remove the door pin from the bracket of the lower hinge by turning counter
clockwise. Move the pin to the opposite hole and tighten. (see fig. # 3)
6. Loosen the screws holding the lower hinge bracket and remove the hinge.
(see fig. # 3)
7. Align the holes in the lower hinge bracket to the corresponding holes in the
opposite side of the cabinet. Insert and tighten the screws.(see fig. # 3)
8. Align the bottom hole on the left side of the door.
9. Align the pin of the top hinge with top hole on the left side of the door and
push into place. Replace the screws in the upper hinge bracket but do not
tighten all the way. (see fig. # 2)
10. Make sure the door closes easily but forms a tight seal. Adjust the door as
needed. Once you are satisfied with the door alignment, completely tighten
the upper door hinge screws.
11. Replace the hinge cover, insert the screw and tighten completely.
(see fig. # 2)
12. If the door does not close properly, refer to the section titled “Door
Alignment”.

Refrigerator Features and Uses
General Features
Temperature Control Dial
The temperature control dial has settings from
•“1”to7plus“OFF”.
•“1”isthewarmest
•“7”isthecoldest
Initially, set the temperature control dial to “4”. After using the refrigerator for 24
hours, adjust the temperature control dial to the setting that best suits your needs.
Turning the temperature control dial ‘OFF’ stops the cooling cycle; however, it
will not shut off power to the refrigerator.
NOTE: If the refrigerator has been placed in a horizontal or tilted position for
any period of time, wait 24 hours before plugging the unit in.
IMPORTANT: If you unplug or turn off the refrigerator, allow 4 minutes before
restarting it or re-plugging it in.
FREEZER COMPARTMENT & USE OF THE ICE CUBE TRAYS
This compartment is designed for making ice cubes and for short-term food
storage (a few days at most). This compartment is not cold enough to freeze
foods safely for extended periods of time.
•Ificecubetrayfreezestothefloor,pouralittlewarmwateraroundittoloosen
it. Do not use boiling water, which can damage plastic parts, or sharp metal
objects such as a knife or screwdriver, which can damage the cooling system
tubing. Wash tray in lukewarm water only. Do not wash in the dishwasher.
Interior Shelves
To remove or replace a full-width slide-out shelf: (see fig. #4)
1. Gently tilt the shelf up and slide
forward until the shelf has been completely removed.
2. To replace the shelf, gently slide the shelf back.

•Yourrefrigeratorhasaclearcrisper.Graspthetopofthecrisperandgently
slide out. Push back to replace.
Crisper
Using the Dispense-A-Can™ (see fig. # 5)
•Yourrefrigeratorisequippedwiththeconvenient
“Dispense-A-Can™” compartment. Each compartment will hold up
to four cans. Simply load the cans from the top. To dispense a can,
simply draw one out from the bottom. It is that easy.

Using the Lock (see fig. # 6)
•Yourrefrigeratorisequippedwithalockandkey(locatedatthe
bottom center of the door) for optional security, should you choose.
Simply close the refrigerator door, insert the key, push in and turn. To
open, insert the key, push in and turn in the opposite direction.
NOTE: Keep keys away from children.

Defrosting Your Refrigerator
•Formaximumenergyefficiency,defrostfreezersectionwheneverfrost
accumulates to a thickness of 1/4” or more on freezer walls. Note that
frost tends to accumulate more during the summer months.
•Todefrost,removethefoodandicecubetrayfromthefreezersection.
Make sure the drip tray is under the freezer section and turn off the
thermostat. Defrosting may take a few hours.
•Whiledefrosting,waterwillaccumulateinthedriptray.Thedriptray
may also need to be emptied during the defrost process. Do not leave
unattended. (see Fig. 7)
•Afterdefrosting,emptyandwipedownthedriptray,aswellasthe
interior of the refrigerator.
Normal Operating Sounds You May Hear
•Boilingwater,gurglingsoundsorslightvibrationsthataretheresultofthe
refrigerant circulating through the cooling coils.
•Thethermostatcontrolwillclickwhenitcyclesonandoff.

Proper Refrigerator Care
and Cleaning
Warning: To avoid electric shock always unplug your refrigerator before
cleaning. Ignoring this warning may result in death or injury.
Caution: Before using cleaning products, always read and follow manufacturer’s
instructions and warnings to avoid personal injury or product damage.
General: •Prepareacleaningsolutionof3-4tablespoonsofbakingsoda
mixed with warm water. Use sponge or soft cloth, dampened with
the cleaning solution, to wipe down your refrigerator.
 •Rinsewithcleanwarmwateranddrywithasoftcloth.
 •Donotuseharshchemicals,abrasives,ammonia,chlorinebleach,
concentrated detergents, solvents or metal scouring pads. Some
of these chemicals may dissolve, damage and/or discolor your
refrigerator.
Door Gaskets:
 •Cleandoorgasketseverythreemonthsaccordingtogeneral
instructions. Gaskets must be kept clean and pliable to assure a
proper seal.
 •Petroleumjellyappliedlightlyonthehingesideofgasketswillkeep
the gasket pliable and assure a good seal.
Power Interruptions
• Occasionallytheremaybepowerinterruptionsduetothunderstormsorother
causes. Remove the power cord from AC outlet when a power outage occurs.
When power has been restored, replug power cord to AC outlet. If outage is
for a prolonged period, inspect and discard spoiled food in the refrigerator.
Clean inside the refrigerator before reusing.
Vacation and moving Care
•Forlongvacationsorabsences,emptyfoodfromrefrigerator,movethe
temperature DIAL to the OFF position and clean the refrigerator and door
gaskets according to “General cleaning” section. Prop doors open, so
air may circulate inside. When moving, always move the refrigerator
vertically. Do not move with the unit lying down. Possible damage to the
sealed system could occur.

Refrigerator Does Not Operate

stipule: « ..Les aliments congelés peuvent être recongelés en toute sécurité s’ils
contiennent toujours des cristaux de glace ou si leur température est toujours
inférieure à 4,5 ˚C (40 ˚F) ».
« …Les viandes hachées, la volaille et le poison présentant une odeur ou
une couleur suspecte ne doivent être ni recongelés, ni mangés. La crème
glacée dégelée doit être jetée. Tout aliment présentant une odeur ou couleur
douteuse doit être jeté cas son ingestion pourrait être dangereuse.»
« …La décongélation ou la recongélation, même partielle réduit la qualité
gustative des aliments, en particulier des fruits, légumes et plats préparés.
La qualité gustative des viandes rouge est beaucoup moins affectée que
celle de nombreux autres aliments. Utiliser les aliments recongelés dès que
possible, afin de conserver un maximum de leur qualité gustative. »

Conditons Electriques

amperes prise) avec mise a terre correcte pour mettre le refrigerateur en
marche
•Nepasutiliserl’adaptateura3brochesounepascouperlatroisieme
broche pour obtenir un adaptateur a 2 broches . Ceci est une pratique
dangereuse car elle n’offre pas de mise a terre au refrigerateur et peut
resulter d’un shoc electrique.
Utilisation des Rallonges
•Evitezl’usagedesrallongescardanscertainscascelapeutentrainerdes
risques pour la sante. S’i c’est necessaire d’utiliser une cordon d’extension,
utilisez une rallonge a 3 conducteurs disposant d’une fiche a 3 lames
et une sortie a 3 fentes qui accepteront la prise. Le calibre defini des
rallonges doit etre egal ou superieur a celui de l’equipement.
Limitations d’installation
•N’installezjamaisvotrerefrigerateurdansunendroitinsuffisammentisole
ou chauffe.. par exemple, le garage etc... Votre refrigerateur n’a pas ete
concu pour operer a une temperature inferieure a 55degres Fahrenheit.
•Choisissezunendroitapproprieavotrerefrigerateursurunesurface
ferme et plane, loin des rayons directs du soleil ou des sources de
chaleur comme les radiateurs, les radiateurs de plinthes , les appareils
de cuisine,etc,,,,, N’importe quelle inegalite du sol doit etre corrigee en
reglant les pieds du refrigerateur, situes au bas.
•Sileréfrigérateurn’estpasmisàniveau,ajustezlespiedsréglablesà
l’avant en les tournant dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre
pour élever le réfrigérateur et dans le sens des aiguilles d’une
montre pour l’abaisser.

Mise à niveau de votre réfrigérateur
•Votreréfrigérateurpossèdedeuxpiedsréglablesquisetrouventdansles
coins avant de votre réfrigérateur. Après avoir correctement installé votre
réfrigérateur en position, vous pouvez ajuster les pieds réglables et le mettre à
niveau.
•Lespiedsréglablespeuventêtreajustésenlestournantdanslesensdes
aiguilles d’une montre pour élever le réfrigérateur ou dans le sens contraire des
aiguilles d’une montre pour le descendre. La porte du réfrigérateur se fermera
plus facilement quand les pieds réglables sont levés.
Alignement de la Porte
1. Retirez la vis du cache-charnière supérieure et retirez ensuite le cache-
charnière supérieure. (voir fig. 1)
2. Enlevez le couvercle du gond superieur en utilisant un tournevis plat.
Gentiment soulevez le du fond du gond et glissez le vers le devant.
3. Desserez les vis du gond superieur en utilisant un tournevis Phillips.
4. Ajustez la porte ou mettez un joint d’espacement au milieu serrez les vis.
5. Replacez le couvercle du gond superieur en alignant le fond du
couvercle au fond du gond . Pressez fermement sur le devant du
couvercle jusqua ce que ce dernier soit en place.

Changement de l’orientation de la porte
1. Retirez la vis du cache-charnière supérieur et retirez ensuite le cache-charnière
supérieur. (voir fig. 1)
2. À l’aide d’un tournevis à tête plate Phillips desserrez et retirez les vis d’attache
de la charnière supérieure. (voir fig. 1)
3. Retirez la charnière supérieure et soulevez doucement la porte.
4. Retirez les chevilles de trous de vis et la cheville de la porte du côté opposé
et insérez les chevilles dans les ouvertures des trous des vis des vis que vous
venez juste de retirer. (voir fig. 2)
5. Retirez la goupille de la porte de la charnière inferieure en la tournant dans le
sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre. Déplacez la goupille au trou du côté
opposé et serrez-la. (voir fig. 3)
6. Desserrez les vis d’attache du support de la charnière inférieure et retirez la
charnière. (voir fig.3)
7. Alignez les trous du support de la charnière inférieure aux trous
correspondants du côté opposé de la carrosserie. Insérez et serrez les vis.
(voir fig. 3)
8. Alignez le trou inférieur du côté gauche de la porte.
9. Alignez le trou en haut du côté gauche de la porte avec le support supérieur
de la goupille de la porte et poussez délicatement et fermement la porte en
place. Replacez les vis dans le support de la charnière supérieure mais ne
serrez pas fermement. (voir fig. 2)
10. Assurez-vous qu’elle ferme bien et facilement. Ajustez la porte si nécessaire.
Une fois que vous êtes satisfaits de l’orientation de la porte, serrez fermement
les vis de la charnière supérieure de la porte.
11. Replacez le cache-charnière, insérez la vis et serrez complètement.
(voir fig. 2)
12. Si la porte ne ferme pas bien reportez-vous à la section «Alignement
de la porte».

Caracteristiques et Utilisation du
Refrigerateur
L’utilisaton generale
Bouton de réglage de la température
La molette de contrôle de la température a des paramètres de
•“1”à“7”,plusArrêt.
•“1”estlepluschaud.
•“7”estleplusfroid.
Initialement, réglez la température à “4”. Après que le congélateur ait été mis
en marche pendant 24 heures, réglez la température au niveau qui convient
le mieux à vos besoins. Mettre le bouton de commande de la temperature sur
« Arrêt » arrête le cycle de refroidissement, cependant cela n’éteint pas le
réfrigérateur.
NOTE: Si le réfrigérateur a été placé en position horizontale ou en position
penchée pendant quelque temps, attendez 24 heures avant de brancher
l’appareil.
IMPORTANT: Si vous débranchez ou éteignez le réfrigérateur, attendez 4
minutes avant de le remettre en marche ou de le rebrancher.
COMPARTIMENT CONGÉLATEUR ET UTILISATION BACS À GLAÇONS
Le compartiment est conçu pour fabriquer des glaçons et pour un entreposage
des aliments à court terme (quelques jours au plus). Le compartiment n’est pas
assez froid pour congeler les aliments en toute sécurité pour de longues périodes.
•Silebacàglaçonssecongèleetadhèreàlasurface,versezunpeud’eau
chaude autour pour le décoller. N’utilisez pas de l’eau bouillante car elle peut
endommager les pièces en plastique ou des objets tranchants en métal comme
un couteau ou un tournevis car ils peuvent endommager le tube du système de
refroidissement. Lavez le bac uniquement à l’eau tiède. Ne le lavez pas dans
le lave-vaisselle.
Les Etageres Interieures
Pour retirer ou replacer une étagère de pleine largeur: (voir fig #4 )
1. Inclinez gentiment l’etagere vers le haut et glissez la au dehors jusqua ce
que cette derniere est completement retiree.
2. Pour replacer l’etagere, glissez la doucement.

«Dispense-A-Can TM». Chaque compartiment peut accueillir jusqu’à
quatre boîtes de boissons diverses. Il vous suffit de ranger les boîtes à
partir du haut. Pour sortir une boîte, servez-vous à partir du bas.
Le dispositif est d’une grande simplicité.

Il vous suffit de fermer la porte du réfrigérateur, introduisez la clé et
tournez. Pour ouvrir, introduisez la clé et tournez dans le sens inverse.

Degrivage de Votre Refrigerateur
•Pourl’efficacited’energiemaximum,degrivezlasectionducongelateur
quand la gelee s’accumule a une epaisseur de 1/4” ou plus sur les
murs du congelateur. Notez que cette gelee a tendance a s’accumuler plus
pendant les mois d’ete.
•Pourdegriver,enlevezlanourritureetlesplateauxdeglaconsdela
section du congelateur. Assurez vous que le plateau d’egout est au
dessous du congelateur et arretez le thermostat. Le degrivage peut prendre
quelques heures.
•Durantledegrivage,del’eaus’accumuleradansleplateaudegoutte.Ce
plateau doit etre vide pendant le process de degrivage. Ne le laissez pas
sans surveillance.(voir fig 7)
•Apresledegrivage,videzetnettoyezleplateaud’egout,etl’interieurdu
refrigerateur.
