Important!
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised
to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
It is essential that you read the instructions in this manual before
assembling, operating, and maintaining the product.

Safety, performance, and dependability have been given
top priority in the design of your stick vac.
INTENDED USE
The stick vac is intended to be used only by adults who
have read and understood the instructions and warnings
in this manual, and can be considered responsible for their
actions.
The product is intended for dry vacuuming for household or
similar non-industrial applications.
Do not use the product for any other purpose.
WARNING
Do not use the product to vacuum liquids of any kind.
STICK VAC SAFETY WARNINGS
â–  Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure
to follow the warnings and instructions may result
in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Save all
warnings and instructions for future reference.
■ Know your product. Read operator’s manual carefully.
Learn its applications and limitations, as well as the
specific potential hazards related to the product.
Following the rule will reduce the risk of electric shock,
fire, or serious injury.
â–  Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of tools
allow you to become complacent and ignore tool safety
principals. A careless action can cause severe injury
within a fraction of a second.
■ Follow appliance manufacturer’s’ instructions regarding
operation and power. Use of the appliance different
from those intended could result in a hazardous
situation.
â–  Use the correct product for the application.
â–  Do not allow children to operate the product or play with
the product as a toy. Close attention is necessary when
used near children.
â–  Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the product.
â–  To reduce the risk of personal injury and electric shock,
the product should not be played with or placed where
small children can reach it.
â–  Use battery operated product only with specifically
designated battery pack. Use of any other batteries
may create a risk of fire.
â–  Use RYOBI 18V ONE+ battery packs only. Do not use
battery packs from other manufacturers.
â–  The product is intended for household use only.
â–  Use the product only for its intended use as described
in this manual.
â–  If the product is not working properly, has been
dropped, damaged, left outdoors or dropped into water,
return it to your nearest service centre.
â–  Only use attachments and accessories specified by the
manufacturer.
â–  Do not handle charger or the product with wet hands.
â–  Do not put any objects in ventilation openings. Do
not use the product with any opening blocked. Keep
openings free of dust, lint, hair and anything that may
reduce air flow.
â–  Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common
sense when operating the product. Do not use while
you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol
or medication. A moment of inattention may result in
serious personal injury.
â–  Never vacuum materials such as hot coals, cigarette
butts, matches, etc.
â–  Do not use the product without dust bowl or filter in
place.
â–  Use extra care when using the product on stairs.
â–  Do not use the product to pick up hard objects such as
nails, screws, coins, etc. Damage or injury could result.
â–  Remove battery when the product is not in use and
before servicing.
â–  Do not place the product near fire or heat. They may
explode.
â–  The product should be charged in a location where the
temperature is more than 10°C but less than 38°C.
â–  Under extreme usage or temperature conditions,
battery leakage may occur. If liquid comes in contact
with skin, wash at least 10 minutes then seek immediate
medical attention.
â–  Batteries vent hydrogen gas and can explode in the
presence of a source of ignition, such as a pilot light.
To reduce the risk of serious personal in jury, never use
any cordless product in the presence of an open flame.
An exploded battery can propel debris and chemicals.
If exposed, flush with water immediately.
â–  Do not place the product in closed bookcases or racks
without proper ventilation. Allow a minimum distance of
5 cm from any foreign object.
â–  Risk of uncontrolled situations when used in ambient
temperatures below 0°C (32°F) or above 40 °C (104°F).
â–  Electric shock could occur if the battery is charged
outdoors or on wet surfaces.
â–  Keep the product dry, clean and free from oil and
grease. Always use a clean cloth when cleaning.
â–  Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean and
free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and grasping
surfaces do not allow for safe handling and control of
the tool in unexpected situations.
â–  Save these instructions. Refer to them frequently and
use them to instruct others who may use this tool. If you
loan someone this tool, loan them these instructions
also.
â–  Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at
all times. This enables better control of the product in
unexpected situations. Overreaching can result in loss
of balance or exposure to hot surfaces.
■ When servicing the product, use only manufacturer’s
replacement parts, accessories and attachments.
Follow instructions in the Maintenance section of the
manual. Use of unauthorised parts or failure to follow
maintenance instructions may create a risk of shock or
injury.
