m REHEATING TOAST

14 Leave the browning control at your

favoured setting, insert the bread, lower the

lever, then press the m button.

15 The m light glows, the toast gets a short

burst of heat, then it pops up.

5 Bread may burn. Don’t use the

toaster near or below

curtains. Watch it while it’s hot.

6 Remove the crumb tray, empty

it, wipe with a damp cloth, dry,

then replace.

7 If the cable is damaged, return

the toaster, to avoid hazard.

H Don’t immerse the appliance in liquid.

8 If you’re only using one slot, leave the other

slot empty, as both slots will become “live”.

9 Unplug the toaster when not in use.

10 Don’t put anything on top of the toaster.

11 Don’t toast or reheat “buttered”, torn, or

misshapen bread.

12 If bread gets jammed, unplug the toaster,

let it cool, then carefully remove the bread.

13 Don’t use the toaster for any purpose other

than those described in these instructions.

14 Don’t use it if it’s damaged or malfunctions.

U BEFORE FIRST USE

• Check the slots are empty, set the browning

level to 7, and use the toaster without bread.

• It may smoke a bit, but it’s nothing to worry

about – ensure the room is well ventilated.

T TOASTING BREAD

1 Sit the toaster upright on a stable, level,

heat-resistant surface.

2 Route the cable so it doesn’t overhang, and

can’t be tripped over or caught.

3 Bread may burn. Don’t use the toaster near

or below curtains or other combustible

materials, and watch it while it’s hot.

4 Put the plug into the wall socket.

5 Set the browning level (1 = light, 7 = dark).

6 Put bread into the slots (max 22mm thick).

7 Press the lever down fully – it won’t lock

down unless the toaster is connected to the

electricity supply.

8 The 5 light glows, and the elements heat.

9 When it’s done, the toast pops up, the light

and elements go oﬀ.

H EXTRA LIFT

10 To remove small items like crumpets and

bagels, you may raise the lever further.

11 To stop the toaster mid-cycle, press .5

f FROZEN BREAD

12 Leave the browning control at your

favoured setting, insert the frozen bread,

lower the lever, then press the f button.

13 The f light glows, and the toasting time is

altered automatically to give the same level

of browning you get with unfrozen bread.
