Preset cooking mode (Fig. 3)
1 Add ingredients to the blender jar or the steaming basket.
When steaming the ingredients like dumpling and buns,
put them on a small plate before placing it into the
steaming basket for better steaming result.
When you use the steaming function, add 500 ml water
into blender jar.
2 Assemble the exhaust lid and blender lid.
3 Fix the blender jar to the motor base and plug in the
appliance.
» You will hear a beep and the appliance is ready to use.
4 Press preset program button to toggle through preset
programs.
» When a preset program is selected, the LED of this
program will light up.
For the steaming program, you can set the steaming
duration by using timer button (-/+). The steaming
duration ranges from 20 minutes to 50 minutes.
To preset time for delayed cooking, use the preset
timer button and timer button (-/+) to set the timer.
See “ Preset time for delayed cooking“ for details.
5 Press start/cancel button to start cooking.
» The blender starts processing.
» To stop processing, press the start/cancel button again.
» When cooking is completed, you will hear a few beeps.
“End” is shown on the LED display.
6 Unplug the appliance and remove the blender jar from the
motor base after cooking.
This allows the heating element to cool down faster.
Be aware that the blender lid and the blender jar will be
very hot after cooking
Be aware of the steam release when you remove the
blender lid and exhaust lid.
Warning: Do not touch the bottom of blender jar and the
heating element after cooking. It is very hot!
7 Remove the blender lid.
8 Pour out the cooked ingredients/soup from the blender jar
carefully.
Warning: Be careful that the steaming basket is very
hot after steaming. Use a cloth to pick up the handle of
steaming basket to take it out.

1 Important
Read this important information carefully before you use the
appliance and save it for future reference.
Warning
Do not misuse the appliance to avoid
potential injury.
This appliance is intended to be used in
household only.
Do not touch the sharp blades when the
appliance is plugged in. If the blades get
stuck, unplug the appliance before you
remove the ingredients. Be careful when
handling the sharp cutting blades, emptying
the bowl and during cleaning.
Switch o and unplug the appliance from
the power supply before:
Removing it from the stand, changing
accessories or approaching parts that
move in use.
Assembling, disassembling or cleaning it.
It is left unattended.
Do not immerse the appliance in water or
any other liquid.
Check if the voltage indicated on the
appliance corresponds to the local mains
voltage before you connect the appliance.
Do not use the appliance if the plug, the
mains cord, housing, lid or blender jar are
damaged or has visible cracks. If the mains
cord is damaged, you must have it replaced
by Philips, a service centre authorised by
Philips or similarly qualied persons in order
to avoid a hazard.
Make sure the lid is properly assembled to
the blender jar before you use the appliance.
This appliance shall not be used by children.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach
of children.
Appliances can be used by persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use
of the appliance in a safe way and if they
understand the hazards involved.
Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliance.
In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent
resetting of the thermal cut-out, this
appliance must not be supplied through an
external switching device, such as a timer,
or connected to a circuit that is regularly
switched on and o by the utility.
Always make sure the lid is properly closed/
assembled on the jar and the exhaust lid is
assembled properly before you switch on
the appliance.
Built-in safety lock
This feature ensures that you can only switch on the appliance
if the blender jar is assembled on the motor base properly. If the
blender jar is correctly assembled, the built-in safety lock will be
unlocked. E01 (error message) will be shown on display if the lid is
not locked in place.
Safety Feature
This blender is tted with a safety feature which safeguards
against excessive loads. In case of overloading, the blender
automatically activates the protection and operation will stop. If
this occurs, unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down for
15 minutes. Remove the ingredients and clear up the blender jar
before starting operation.
Boil-dry protection
This appliance is equipped with boil-dry protection:
It switches o automatically if you accidentally switch it on with
no or not enough liquid in it. Let the appliance cool down for 15
minutes and unplug it. The appliance is ready for use again.
Electromagnetic elds (EMF)
This Philips appliance complies with all applicable standards and
regulations regarding exposure to electromagnetic elds.
Recycling
Do not throw away the product with the normal household waste
at the end of its life, but hand it in at an ocial collection point for
recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the environment.
Follow your country’s rules for the separate collection of electrical
and electronic products. Correct disposal helps prevent negative
consequences for the environment and human health.

Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the
blender jar as it can be ejected out of the
appliance due to a sudden steaming.
Never assemble or disassemble the blender
jar to the motor base while the power is on.
Read the cleaning procedure from “User
Manual” before use.
Be careful that the heating element surface
is subject to residual heat after use.
Caution
Never use any accessories or parts from
other manufacturers or that Philips does
not specically recommend. If you use
such accessories or parts, your guarantee
becomes invalid. Only connect the
appliance to an earthed wall socket.
Do not exceed the maximum indication on
the blender jar.
Do not exceed the maximum quantities and
processing times indicated in the relevant
table.
If food sticks to the wall of the blender jar,
switch o the appliance and unplug it. Then
use a spatula to remove the food from the
wall.
Neverll the blender jar with ingredients
hotter than ambient temperature. Avoid
to pour cold water into the blade unit and
blender jar immediately after use. Wait until
it has been fully cooled.
The appliance can only be switched on if the
blender jar is assembled on the motor base
correctly.
Do not touch the heating element and
blade after use. Let it cool down for approx.
30 minutes before cleaning or disassembly.
Cooking
Warning
Do not overll the blender jar, boiling water
may be ejected.
Do not remove the lid while the water is
boiling.
Beware the appliance releases steam which
can cause burns. Handle the exhaust lid and
blender lid carefully.
Caution
Let the appliance cool down to room
temperature before use.
Clean up the blade unit and blender jar after
use.
Always make sure the lid is properly closed/
assembled on the jar in the lid before you
switch on the appliance.
This appliance is not suitable for use in
some high-altitude areas.
Blending
Warning
Never reach into the blender jar with your
ngers or an object while the appliance is
running.
If the blade unit gets stuck, unplug the
appliance before you remove the ingredients
that block the blades.
Caution
To prevent spillage, do not put liquid
beyond the maximum level in the blender
jar, especially when you process at a high
speed. Do not put liquid beyond the
maximum level in the blender jar when you
process hot liquids or ingredients that tend
to foam.
Do not let the appliance run for more than
3 minutes at a time. Let the appliance cool
down to room temperature before you
continue processing.

1 Pour in washing-up liquid and warm water (no more than
half of maximum capacity).
2 Insert the exhaust cover and close the lid.
3 Pulse/Clean Press button for three to ve times. Keep the
washing-up liquid in the blender jar for 15 minutes.
4 Unplug the appliance and then pour out to empty the
blender jar. Rinse under tap to clean the blender jar.
5 Use dry cloth to clean the driving shaft head.
6 Use dry cloth to clean the bottom of the blender jar.
Note:
Do not soak the blender jar in water to avoid damaging the
electronic devices at the bottom.
Do not use any metallic or sharp-edged utensils on the
blade unit to avoid scratching on the surface.
Do not use metal wool or brush to wash the blade unit to
avoid scratching.
Use only soft cloth when cleaning the motor unit and blade
unit.
Do not put the blender jar into the dishwasher.
Do not rinse the motor base or the bottom of blender jar.
Tip:
Use soft cloth to clean the heating element after using. This
can ensure the best and consistent cooking performance.
Do not use sharp-edged tools to remove the burnt
ingredients from the blender jar. To clean the jar in this case,
add warm water to the jar and keep it for two hours and
then use brush to remove the residue.

Features Ingredients
Smoothie Approx. 100 grams of water, 100 grams of ice,
200 grams of fruit
Tip: For better result, soak beans or rice for a few hours before
cooking with soy milk or grain congee program.
*When using this appliance in high-altitude areas (>1000m),
make sure to reduce the ingredient quantity in the recipe to
prevent ingredient overow.
Note:
To avoid accidents, do not add ingredients to the blender jar
while it is working.
When making fruit and vegetable drinks, de-core the fruit/
vegetables and add the appropriate amount of drinking
water or milk.
Do not use the appliance to heat sticky liquid like milk, soy
milk or cool congee. Otherwise, it will cause the ingredients
to burn or produce unpleasant smell.
Do not restart the appliance if it stops when making soy milk
(or congee), or if the appliance has nished processing. This
may cause the cooked ingredients to burn or damage the
heating plate and other components.If the appliance stops
working or has nished processing, remove the ingredients
from the blender jar before reusing.

Preset time for delayed cooking (Fig. 3-4)
You can use the preset function if you want the appliance
to start cooking at a later time. You can use this function for
all preset cooking modes except Fruit juice and Smoothie
programs. The preset timer is available up to 12 hours.
1 Follow step 1 to 3 in “Preset cooking mode“ to prepare your
blender.
2 Press the preset program button to select a program.
3 Press the present timer button to enter the preset mode for
delayed cooking.
4 Press timer button (-/+) to set the delayed period.
For example, if the current time is 10:00 and you want the appliance
to start cooking at 18:00 (8 hours later), you can set the delayed
period to 8:00.
5 Press the Conrm/OK button.
» The timer on the LED display starts to count down.
» The appliance starts cooking when counting down is
completed.
Note
When you use the preset function for delayed cooking, you
will leave ingredients in the blender jar for a period. To keep
your recipe healthy, avoid using fresh ingredients that may
go bad, for instance eggs or meat.
Resume an interrupted operation (Safety
protection)
The blender has a safety protection system.
If the lid is unlocked during processing, operation is
interrupted and “E01” error code will be shown on display.
To resume processing,
1 Place and lock the blender jar and lid properly.
» · “- - - -“ will be shown on display.
2 Press ”Start/Cancel” button.
» · The appliance resumes processing.
Use the pulse function
1 Follow step 1 to 3 in “Preset cooking mode“ to prepare your
blender.
2 Press and hold the Pulse/clean button to start processing
until getting the result desired.
» The blender starts blending at a very high speed.
3 Release the Pulse/clean button to stop processing.
4 Unplug the appliance.
