Quick start guide
Preparations
Charge the battery
The battery is not charged when the
camera is shipped. Charge the battery
and set the clock before use.
Insert the battery and the card
When you do not use the card (optional),
you can record or play back pictures on the
built-in memory.
Slide the [LOCK] switch ( ) in the
direction of the arrow until the red
area ( ) is visible
The lock is unlocked.
Slide the release lever ( ) to the
[LOCK] switch side
The card/battery door opens.
Fully insert the battery and card,
making sure that their orientation is
correct
While the [LOCK] switch is unlocked,
push the card/battery door closed
until it clicks
Lock the [LOCK] switch by sliding it
in the direction of the arrow until the
red area is no longer visible
Recording

Press the Power button
Select the desired Recording Mode
â– To use settings automatically selected by the camera
Press the button.
â– To select the Recording Mode manually
Press the [MODE] button.
Press ▲▼ to select the Recording Mode, and then press [MENU/SET].
Press the shutter button and take pictures
Press halfway
(press lightly to focus)
Press fully
(press the button all
the way to record)
â– To play back the pictures
Press the Playback button.
Select the picture you want to view.
