Diese Anleitung richtet sich an Installateure mit

Fachkenntnissen in der 100-V-Beschallungstech-

nik. Bitte lesen Sie die Anleitung vor der Instal-

lation gründlich durch und heben Sie sie für ein

späteres Nachlesen auf.

1 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten

Dieser Lautsprecher ist speziell für den Einsatz in

ELA-Anlagen konzipiert. Er ist mit einem Übertra-

ger für den Betrieb an 100-V-Anlagen ausgestat-

tet. Die Modelle EDL-116TW und EDL-118TW

sind als 2-Wege-System zusätzlich mit einem

Hochtöner ausgestattet.

2 Wichtige Hinweise

Der Lautsprecher entspricht allen relevanten

Richtlinien der EU und trägt deshalb das -Zei-

chen.

•

Verwenden Sie den Lautsprecher nur im In-

nenbereich. Schützen Sie ihn vor Tropf- und

Spritzwasser sowie vor hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit.

Der zulässige Einsatztemperaturbereich be-

trägt 0 – 40 °C.

•

Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen nur ein trocke-

nes, weiches Tuch, niemals Wasser oder Che-

mikalien.

•

Wird der Lautsprecher zweckentfremdet,

nicht sicher montiert, falsch angeschlossen

oder überlastet, kann keine Haftung für dar-

aus resultierende Sach- oder Personenschäden

und keine Garantie für den Lautsprecher über-

nommen werden.

Soll der Lautsprecher endgültig aus

dem Betrieb genommen werden, über-

geben Sie ihn zur umweltgerechten

Entsorgung einem örtlichen Recycling-

betrieb.

3 Installation

WARNUNG Im Betrieb liegt berührungsge-

fährliche Spannung bis 100 V an

der Anschlussleitung an. Die Ins-

tallation darf nur durch Fachper-

sonal erfolgen.

Achten Sie auf eine richtige Anpassung der

Leistung. Die Summe der Leistungen aller an-

geschlossenen Lautsprecher darf die Verstär-

kerleistung nicht überschreiten. Eine falsche

Anpassung führt zur Zerstörung des ELA-Ver-

stärkers!

1) Vor der Installation des Lautsprechers den

ELA- Verstärker ausschalten, damit die Laut-

sprecherleitung spannungsfrei ist!

2) In die Decke ein entsprechend großes Loch

sägen (☞Technische Daten, Einbauöffung).

3) Den Lautsprecher über seinen Transformator

an den Verstärker anschließen: Die schwarze

Ader und eine der anderen farbigen Adern,

die der gewünschten Nennbelastung (Laut-

stärke) entspricht, mit der Lautsprecherlei-

tung verbinden:

gemeinsamer Anschluss (z. B. Minuspol) = schwarze Ader

Beim Anschluss von mehreren Lautsprechern

darauf achten, dass die Lautsprecher alle

gleich gepolt werden (z. B. schwarze Ader =

Minuspol) und dass der Verstärker nicht über-

lastet wird.

4) -Die Klemmarme nach oben biegen und fest

halten.

Achtung, Verletzungsgefahr!

Die gespannten Klemmarme gut

festhalten!

5) Den Lautsprecher mit den gespannten Klemm-

armen in den Montageausschnitt einsetzen

und vorsichtig in den Ausschnitt gleiten las-

sen, bis er bündig anliegt.

PA Ceiling Speaker

These instructions are intended for installers with

speciﬁc knowledge in 100 V technology for PA

applications. Please read the instructions care-

fully prior to installation and keep them for later

reference.

1 Applications

This speaker has especially been designed for

applications in PA systems. It is equipped with a

transformer for operation at 100 V systems. As a

2-way system, the models EDL-116TW and EDL-

118TW are additionally equipped with a tweeter.

2 Important Notes

The speaker corresponds to all relevant directives

of the EU and is therefore marked with .

•

The speaker is suitable for indoor use only.

Protect it against dripping water, splash water

and high air humidity. The admissible ambient

temperature range is 0 – 40 °C.

•

For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never

use water or chemicals.

•

No guarantee claims for the speaker and no

liability for any resulting personal damage

or material damage will be accepted if the

speaker is used for other purposes than orig-

inally intended, if it is not safely installed or

not correctly connected, or if it is overloaded.

If the speaker is to be put out of oper-

ation deﬁnitively, take it to a local recy-

cling plant for a disposal which is not

harmful to the environment.

3 Installation

WARNING During operation, there is a haz-

ard of contact with a voltage of up

to 100 V at the connection cable.

The installation must be made by

skilled personnel only.

Observe the load of the PA ampliﬁer by the

speakers. The total power of all speakers con-

nected must not exceed the ampliﬁer power.

An overload will damage the PA ampliﬁer!

1) Before installing the speaker, switch off the

PA ampliﬁer so that the speaker cable will not

carry any voltage!

2) Saw a cutout of the appropiate size into the

ceiling (☞speciﬁcations, mounting cutout).

3) Connect the speaker to the ampliﬁer via its

transformer: Connect the black core and one

of the other coloured cores corresponding

to the desired power rating (volume) to the

speaker cable:

common connection (e. g. negative pole) = black core

When connecting several speakers, make sure

that all speakers have the same polarity (e. g.

black core = negative connection) and that the

ampliﬁer is not overloaded.

4) Bend the spring clamps upwards and keep

them in this position.

Attention, risk of injury!

Firmly hold the spring clamps in

place!

5) Insert the speaker with the spring clamps held

in place into the mounting cutout. Carefully

slide the speaker into the cutout until it is

ﬂush with the ceiling.

Diffusore PA da sofﬁtto

Queste istruzioni sono rivolte agli installatori che

possiedono delle conoscenze speciﬁche della tec-

nica di sonorizzazione a 100 V. Vi preghiamo di

leggerle attentamente prima dell‘installazione e

di conservarle per un uso futuro.

1 Possibilità d’impiego

Questo altoparlante è stato realizzato in modo

particolare per l’impiego in impianti PA. È equi-

paggiato con un trasformatore per impianti con

uscita audio a 100 V. I modelli EDL-116TW e EDL-

118TW, in quanto sistema a 2 vie, sono equipag-

giati in più con un tweeter.

2 Avvertenze importanti

Il diffusore è conforme a tutte le direttive rile-

vanti dell’UE e pertanto porta la sigla .

•

Usare il diffusore solo all’interno di locali. Pro-

teggerlo dall’acqua gocciolante e dagli spruzzi

d’acqua nonché da alta umidità dell’aria. La

temperatura d’esercizio ammessa è 0 – 40 °C.

•

Per la pulizia usare solo un panno morbido,

asciutto; non impiegare in nessun caso pro-

dotti chimici o acqua.

•

Nel caso d’uso improprio, di montaggio non

a regola d’arte, di collegamento sbagliato o di

sovraccarico del diffusore, non si assume nes-

suna responsabilità per eventuali danni conse-

quenziali a persone o a cose e non si assume

nessuna garanzia per il diffusore.

Se si desidera eliminare il diffusore de-

ﬁnitivamente, consegnarlo per lo smal-

timento ad un’istituzione locale per il

riciclaggio.

3 Installazione

AVVERTIMENTO

Durante il funzionamento, nel

cavo per altoparlanti dell’am-

pliﬁcatore è presente una ten-

sione ﬁno a 100 V, pericolosa

in caso di contatto. L’installa-

zione deve essere eseguita solo

da personale specializzato.

Tener presente anche il carico dell’ampliﬁcatore

PA da parte degli altoparlanti. Un sovraccarico

può danneggiare l’ampliﬁcatore! La somma

delle potenze di tutti gli altoparlanti collegati

non deve superare la potenza dell’ampliﬁcatore.

1) Prima di installare il diffusore spegnere l’am-

pliﬁcatore PA per togliere la tensione dal cavo

verso il diffusore!

2) Praticare l’apertura necessaria nel sofﬁtto

(☞dati tecnici, apertura di montaggio).

3) Collegare il diffusore con l’ampliﬁcatore tra-

mite il suo trasformatore: collegare il condut-

tore nero e uno dei conduttori colorati che

corrisponde alla potenza nominale (volume)

desiderata con il cavo del diffusore.

Collegando più altoparlanti, fare attenzione

che tutti presentino la stessa polarità (p. es.

conduttore nero = polo negativo) e che l’am-

pliﬁcatore non sia sovraccaricato.

4) Piegare i bracci di sostegno in alto e tenerle

ferme.

Attenzione, pericolo di farsi del

male! Tenere ben ferme i bracci di

sostegno tese!

5) Inserire il diffusore con i bracci di sostegno

tese nell’apertura di montaggio e farlo entrare

delicatamente ﬁnché è a ﬁlo con il sofﬁtto.

Con riserva di modiﬁche tecniche.

pour pouvoir vous y reporter ultérieurement.

1 Possibilités d’utilisation

Ce haut-parleur est spécialement conçu pour une

utilisation dans des installations de Public Adress.

Il est équipé d’un transformateur pour un fonc-

tionnement dans des installations 100 V. Comme

système 2 voies, les modèles EDL-116TW et EDL-

118TW sont en plus doté d’un haut-parleur d’aigu.

2 Conseils importants

Le haut-parleur répond à toutes les directives

nécessaires de l’Union européenne et porte donc

le symbole .

•

Le haut-parleur n’est conçu que pour une utili-

sation en intérieur. Protégez-le de tout type de

projections d’eau, des éclaboussures et d’une

humidité d‘air élevée. La plage de tempéra-

ture ambiante admissible est de 0 – 40 °C.

•

Pour le nettoyage, utilisez uniquement un

chiffon sec et doux, en aucun cas de produits

chimiques ou d’eau.

•

Nous déclinons toute responsabilité en cas de

dommages matériels ou corporels résultants si

le haut-parleur est utilisé dans un but autre

que celui pour lequel il a été conçu, s’il n’est

pas correctement installé ou branché ou s’il y

a surcharge; en outre, la garantie deviendrait

caduque.

Lorsque le haut-parleur est déﬁnitivement

retiré du service, vous devez la déposer

dans une usine de recyclage adaptée pour

contribuer à son élimination non polluante.

3 Installation

AVERTISSEMENT Pendant le fonctionnement,

une tension de contact dan-

gereuse jusqu’à 100 V est

présente au câble de branche-

ment. Seul un personnel quali-

ﬁé peut effectuer l’installation.

Faites attention à la charge de l’ampliﬁcateur PA

par les haut-parleurs. Une surcharge peut en-

dommager l’ampliﬁcateur. La somme des puis-

sances de l’ensemble des haut-parleurs reliés ne

doit pas dépasser la puissance de l’ampliﬁcateur.

1) Avant d‘installer le haut-parleur, éteignez

l‘ampliﬁcateur Public Adress pour que le câble

haut-parleur ne soit pas porteur de tension.

2) Découpez un trou de taille adéquate dans le

plafond (☞ caractéristiques techniques, dé-

coupe montage).

3) Reliez le haut-parleur via son transformateur à

l’ampliﬁcateur : reliez le conducteur noir et un

des autres conducteurs de couleur correspon-

dant à la puissance nominale voulue (volume),

au câble haut-parleur :

Si plusieurs haut-parleurs sont branchés, veillez

à ce que les haut-parleurs aient tous la même

polarité (p. ex. conducteur noir = pôle moins)

et que l’ampliﬁcateur ne soit pas en surcharge.

4) -Pliez les ressorts de pince vers le haut et main

tenez-les dans cette position.

Attention, risque de blessure !

Maintenez bien les ressorts étirés!

5) -Placez le haut-parleur avec les ressorts main

tenus en position dans la découpe de mon-

tage et faites-le glisser avec précaution dans

la découpe jusqu’à ce qu’il s’encastre parfai-

tement dans le plafond.
