IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• The instrument may be used only for measuring body
temperature!
• The battery is well sealed inside the thermometer to reduce the
risk to be swallowed by children.
• Protect the instrument from impact and dropping!
• Avoid ambient temperatures above 60 °C. NEVER boil the instru-
ment!
• Use only the commercial disinfectants listed in the section
«Cleaning and Disinfecting» to clean the instrument. The instru-
ment must be intact when immersed in liquid disinfectant.
• We recommend this instrument is tested for accuracy every two
years or after mechanical impact (e.g. being dropped). Please
contact Microlife-Service to arrange the test.
Batteries and electronic instruments must be disposed of
in accordance with the locally applicable regulations, not
with domestic waste.
TURNING ON THE THERMOMETER
To turn on the thermometer, press the button. A display testON/OFF
is performed. All segments should be displayed. Then at an ambient
temperature of less than 32 °C, an and a flashing «L» «°C» appear
at the display field. The thermometer is now ready for use.
FUNCTION TEST
Correct functioning of the thermometer is tested automatically each
time it is turned on. If a malfunction is detected (measurement inaccu-
racy), this is indicated by on the display, and a measurement«ERR»
becomes impossible. In this case, the thermometer must be replaced.
USING THE THERMOMETER
Choose the preferred measuring method. When taking a measure-
ment, the current temperature is continuously displayed and the «°C»
symbol flashes. If the is no longer flashing, this means that the«°C»
measured increase in temperature is less than 0.1 °C in 16 seconds
and that the thermometer can now be read.
To prolong the battery life, turn off the thermometer by briefly press-
ing the button. Otherwise the thermometer will automati-ON/OFF
cally turn off after about 10 minutes.
STORAGE OF MEASURED VALUES
If the ON/OFF button is pressed for more than 3 seconds when turn-
ing on the thermometer, the automatically stored maximum tempera-
ture during the last measurement will be displayed. At the same
time, a «M» for memory will appear on the display. About 3 seconds
after the button is released, the temperature value disappears and
the thermometer is ready for measurement.
MEASURING METHODS
In the mouth (oral)
Position the thermometer in one of the two pockets under the
tongue, to the left or right of the root of the tongue. The measuring
sensor must be in good contact with the tissue. Close your mouth
and breathe evenly through the nose to prevent the measurement
from being influenced by inhaled/exhaled air.
Approx. measuring time: 1 minute.

οργνου. Το ργανο πρπει να βρσκεται σε ριστη κατσταση
ταν τοποθετεται µσα σε υγρ απολυµαντικ ουσα.
•Συνιστται να ελγχετε την ακρβεια αυτο του οργνου κθε
δο χρνια  εν κτυπηθε (π.χ. εν πσει κτω). Απευθυνθετε

Ενεργοποηση του θερμομτρου
Για να ενεργοποισετε το θερµµετρο, πατστε το πλκτρο
ON/OFF.
Πραγµατοποιεται λεγχοσ οθνησ. λεσ οι ενδεξεισ
πρπει να εµφανζονται. Στη συνχεια, εν η θερµοκρασα
περιβλλοντοσ εναι χαµηλτερη απ 32
°C
, στην οθνη
εµφανζεται η νδειξη «
L

Η σωστ λειτουργα του θερµοµτρου ελγχεται αυτµατα κθε
φορ που το ενεργοποιετε. Εν ανιχνευτε κποια δυσλειτουργα
(ανακρβεια µτρησησ), στην οθνη εµφανζεται η νδειξη «
ERR
»,
και δεν µπορετε να πραγµατοποισετε µτρηση τησ θερµοκρασασ.
Σε αυτ την περπτωση, το θερµµετρο πρπει να αντικατασταθε.
Χρση του θερμομτρου
Επιλξτε την επιθυµητ µθοδο µτρησησ. ταν πραγµατοποιετε
µτρηση, η θερµοκρασα εµφανζεται συνεχσ στην οθνη και
αναβοσβνει το σµβολο «

Αποθκευση των θερμοκρασιν που μετρθηκαν
Εν κρατσετε το πλκτρο

3 δευτερλεπτα ταν ενεργοποιετε το θερµµετρο, θα
εµφανιστε η υψηλτερη θερµοκρασα που αποθηκετηκε
αυτµατα κατ την τελευταα µτρηση. Ταυτχρονα, στην οθνη
θα εµφανιστε η νδειξη «M» (που αντιστοιχε στη λξη «Μνµη»).
Περπου 2 δευτερλεπτα αφο αφσετε το κουµπ, η τιµ τησ
θερµοκρασασ σβνει απ την οθνη και µπορετε να
χρησιµοποισετε το θερµµετρο για λλη µτρηση.

In the anus (rectal)
This is the most reliable measuring method, and is especially suit-
able for infants and small children. Carefully insert the measuring
sensor of the thermometer 2-3 cm into the anal aperture.
Approx. measuring time: 1 minute.
In the armpit (axillary)
To receive more reliable results we recommend to measure tempera-
ture orally or rectally. A minimum measurement time of 3-5 minutes
is recommended regardless of the beep sound.
Approx. measuring time: 1 minute.
CLEANING AND DISINFECTING
Name: Isopropyl alcohol 70 %; immerse: max. 24 hours.
BATTERY EXHAUSTION
When the « » symbol (upside-down triangle) appears in the lower▼
right of the display, the battery is exhausted and thermometer needs to
be replaced. For battery disposal please refer to «safety instructions».

damage caused by improper handling shall not be covered by the

µτρησησ πρπει να εφπτεται καλ µε το υπογλσσιο δαφοσ.
Κλεστε το στµα και αναπνετε οµαλ απ τη µτη για να µην
επηρεαστε η µτρηση απ τον εισπνεµενο/εκπνεµενο αρα.
Χρ"νος μτρησης: 1 λεπτ" περπου.
Στον πρωκτ" (πρωκτικ)
Εναι η πιο αξιπιστη µθοδοσ µτρησησ, και συνιστται ιδωσ για
βρφη και µικρπαιδι. Εισγετε προσεκτικ τον αισθητρα
µτρησησ του θερµοµτρου κατ 2-3
cm
στον πρωκτ.
Χρ"νος μτρησης: 1 λεπτ" περπου.
Στη μασχ#λη (μασχαλιαα)
Για πιο αξιπιστα αποτελσµατα, συνιστται η στοµατικ
πρωκτικ µτρηση τησ θερµοκρασασ. Απαιτεται ελχιστοσ χρνοσ
µτρησησ 3-5 λεπτ, ανεξρτητα µε την ηχητικ ειδοποηση.

Ονοµασα: Ισοπροπυλικ αλκολη 70 %. Μγιστη παραµον στο
διλυµα: ωσ 24 ρεσ.
