Safety
Before you use your KTC-500DAB, rea d the following sa fety instructions.
1. Follow the operating instructions provided and take note of any warnings.
2. If you do not follow th e operating in structions provided, it may compromise the safety of your p roduct and this may invalidate the warranty.
3. Only use the supplied 12V p ower adapter with your product.
4. Do n ot install your product in a wa y that may interfere with the safe operatio n o f th e vehicle, or affect the dep loyment of air bags or other safety items. Do not insta ll cables and wires near
th e stee ring wheel .
5. Do no t place your product o n o r near sources of your vehicle's heat or ventilation.
6. Do not use your p roduct in a way that may cause careless driving or improper control of your vehicle.
7. Keep your product dry and only clea n with a d ry clo th.
8. Do not expose your p roduct to naked fl ames.
9. Use batteries of the type listed i n this user manual, and fit ba tteries correctly. Dispose of batteries i n an environmentally friend ly manner. Do not expose batteries to excessive heat o r naked
flames.
10. Keep batteries away from children. If the battery compartment does not close securely, do not use the product and keep it away from children. If you think someone has swallowed a battery
or placed a b attery inside their body, seek medical attention immediately.
11. Do not use you r product in extremely hot or cold temperature.
12. If you need to connect your product to the rear of your vehicle's head un it, remo ve any power before you start to install your product. When you have safely installed you r product, you can
reconnect the power. See your vehicle's owner's man ual for more info rma tion.
13. Do not use the product if it is d ama ged.
14. Product repairs should only be carried out b y authorised person nel.
15. Remove the 12V power ada pter from th e vehicle's p ower so cket when you replace the battery of th e veh icle.
