Safety precautions
x The appliance may be installed into the kitchen cabinet
and connected to the power mains and gas network
by qualified personnel only.
x Heat and moisture is released into the room during the
operation. Make sure that the room with the gas
appliance installed in is always well aired. Open door
or window should be enough in most cases. If the
operation of the appliance is extra long and highly
intensive, the air circulation should be constant, or the
kitchen hood should be switched on.
x Never use the burners if the flame of the outlet gas is
unstable.
x In case you should smell gas in the room, immediately
shut the main gas supply valve at the gas tank or the
gas installation, extinguish all open fires (including the
cigarette butts), and abundantly ventilate the room. Do
not switch any electrical devices on, and call qualified
gas personnel at once!
x The main gas supply valve must be shut in case you
do not intend to use the gas burners for longer period
of time (i.e. leaving for vacation).
x Particular areas of the appliance (especially the vicinity
of hotplates) may become very hot during operation.
Do not let small children in the vicinity of the cooker
and instruct them about danger of burns.
x Hot grease is highly inflammable, so pay extra
attention when preparing food with grease or oil. Frying
in fat or oil (chips) may be carried out only under
constant surveillance.
x Hotplates may not operate empty, without dishes
placed on top.
x Never use the appliance for heating the ambience.
x In case of any detected malfunction immediately
disconnect the appliance from the mains supply and
call the service.
x Do not use high-pressure steam cleaner or hot steam
to clean the appliance.

Electric hotplates control knobs
Hotplates are regulated by knobs located on the
control panel .
Yellow light is on when at least one hotplate is in
operation.
Heating power is marked on control knobs from 1
to 6, position 1 being the weakest and position 6
the strongest. In position 0 the hotplate is off.
Intermediate heating power is selected in steps.
Step selection knobs can be turned in both
directions.
The entire hotplate is switched off by turning the
knob to position 0.
Cookware
Use only high quality cookware with flat and firm
bottom.
x Position the pot at the center of the hotplate
during cooking.
x When using the fireproof and temperature
resistant glass cookware observe the
instructions of the producer.
x If the pressure cooker is used to prepare food,
have it under constant control throughout the
cooking until proper pressure has been
obtained. In such cases start the cooking at
maximum power of the hotplate, and reduce the
power subsequently according to the
instructions of the producer.
x When using high radiation (bright metal
surface) crockery, or thick bottom dishes for
preparing food on the glass ceramic hob, the
period of reaching the boiling point may be
prolonged for certain time (up to 10 minutes).
Consequently, if you need to boil considerable
amount of liquid, it is recommended to use the
dark, flat bottom pot.
The hotplate may be damaged:
x if it is left in operation without any cookware
being placed on top, or if covered with empty
cookware;
x if improper cookware is used: unevenly flat
bottom or (traditional Turkishsmall diameter
coffee kettle).
x the use of terra-cotta (clay) cookware is likely to
produce scratches upon the ceramic-glass
surface.
x Before placing any cookware upon the cooktop
thoroughly wipe the bottom dry, thereby
improving the heat conduction and protecting
the hotplate from damage.
Energy saving tips
x The inside bottom of the cookware should be
slightly concave for optimum heat transfer.
x Diameter of the cookware bottom should
always match the diameter of the hotplate. If
the pot is too small it may cause loss of energy
and damage the hotplate.
x Whenever possible use the cookware lid to
cover the pot.
x The size of the cookware should fit the quantity
of food to be prepared. Cooking small
quantities of food in large pots results in the
loss of energy.
x Food requiring long preparation should be
cooked in the pressure cooker.
x Vegetables should be cooked in small
quantities of water. This speeds up the cooking
time, especially if the pot is properly covered.
Reduce the cooking power when the boiling
point is reached.
x Switch the hotplate off 5 to 10 minutes prior the
end of cooking.
