the water filter cartridge and refer to the flushing instructions detailed in section
‘Flushing through the water dispenser.
zTo avoid serious illness or death, only connect your water filter to safe drinking water.
zThe water filter cartridge needs to be changed when the replacement indicator icon

zIn the event of a power interruption, the appliance will automatically save the current
temperature settings. When power is recovered, the appliance will revert to the current
temperature settings only.
zMost power failures are corrected within a short period of time. 1 – 2 hours loss of
power will not affect the appliance’s temperatures.
zTo avoid sudden change of temperature while the power is off, you should avoid
opening the door. A refrigerator will keep food safe for up to 4 hours during a power
outage. Keep the door closed as much as possible. Discard refrigerated perishable food

from the ice tray and fill the tray with water. Place the lid back on the ice tray and carefully
position it back onto the ice storage bin.
Once the ice is solid, take the ice tray and lid off the ice storage bin, remove the lid from

Humidity control lids
The control lids are fitted to the fruit and vegetable bins of your refrigerator.
zThese lids seal the bins and provide a humid microclimate to extend the storage timesof
fruit and vegetables.
zThe lids have specially designed grooves that retain moisture to prevent condensation
from dripping onto the fruits and vegetables at times of high humidity.
Humidity slide
STORAGE FEATURES
Each bin has an adjustable humidity slide that enables you to choose a fruit or vegetable
setting depending on your storage needs.
zIf there is too much water in the bins (due to high humidity), the control can be
adjustedtowards the fruit setting to reduce drips of water and/or wipe the
waterdry (if required).
zBe aware that a small amount of water in the bins is beneficial for fruit and
vegetablestorage.
zUse the vegetable setting when you store ethylene-sensitive vegetables such
aslettuce, spinach, broccoli, cabbage, carrots.
zUse the fruit setting when you store high-ethylene fruits such ascitrus fruits,
stonefruits and some tropical fruits.
zWe recommend adjusting the humidity slide to the center when you store both
fruitsandvegetables.
zWe recommend storing all fruit and vegetables without external packaging and
inseparate bins.
zSeparating the fruit and vegetables prevent ethylene-sensitive produce fromripening too
quickly, and help extend their storage life.

CLEANING AND CARE
Exterior
Clean all surfaces with liquid dishwashing detergent dissolved in warm water andasoft
cloth. Rinse with clean water and dry with a clean, lint-free cloth.
Do not use any abrasive stainless steel cleaners, glass cleaners, solvents or scourer pads as
these will damage the door surface.
Door gasket
Clean the magnetic door gasket every three months with a toothbrush, and liquid detergent
dissolved in warm water.
Bottle holder (where fitted)
Clean with warm water and detergent. The use of abrasive cleaners and solvents
may cause damage.
Cabinet surround
To maximise operating efficiency regularly
vacuum the flooring around your appliance.
Cleaning behind the appliance is required once
or twice a year. More frequent cleaning may
be necessary for dusty homes or those with
pets shedding hair.
To do this wind up the feet and carefully ease the
refrigerator out of its position. Switch off andunplug.
Vacuum the flooring behind your appliance and the
rear compartment cover (where fitted) to remove
dust accumulation. Use a dry lint-free cloth to clean
the appliance walls and surrounding cabinetry.
After cleaning, plug in and switch on. Push the appliance into position and wind feet down.

damp, soft lint-free cloth.
27
CLEANING AND CARE
Interior
It is important to keep the interior of the refrigerator and freezer clean to help prevent food
from becoming contaminated during storage.
The amount and types of food stored determines how often cleaning should be carried out
in the refrigerator (ideally once every 1 to 2 weeks).
Remove the shelves from cabinet and door. Wash shelves and storage bins in warm water
and detergent; rinse in clean water and dry before replacing.
Wipe over the interior surfaces with warm water and liquid dishwashing detergent.
Alternatively you can use 1tsp baking soda dissolved in 500ml of warm water. Rinse
with cleanwater.
To help remove “old stale refrigerator” smells add a few drops of vanilla essence or vinegar
to the water before cleaning.
Clean interior surfaces with warm water and liquid dishwashing detergent. Use a toothbrush
for the magnetic door gasket.
Do not use harsh, abrasive cloths on any part of the refrigerator or freezer.
Glass shelves
Clean with warm water and detergent.
Bottle holder (where fitted)
Clean with warm water and detergent. The use of abrasive cleaners and solvents
may cause damage.
Automatic ice dispenser (Ice & Water and Automatic Ice models only)
We do not recommend you clean the ice maker componentry, but it is important to clean
the bins occasionally. The storage bin should be cleaned regularly and the old ice in the
bottom of the bin discarded. Wash bin in lukewarm water. Dry thoroughly and replace.
When replacing the bin ensure that the scoop is on the right hand side or at the front of the
bin (model dependent).
Many commercially available cleaning products contain solvents that may attack the
plastic components of your refrigerator and cause them to crack. It is important to use
only warm water and a small amount of liquid dishwashing detergent on any components
inside and outside your refrigerator. Avoid using anti-bacterial cleaning products on either
the interior or exterior of the cabinet as they may cause rusting of metal components and
cracking of plastic components.
