1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 International Edox Warranty

Congratulations on having chosen an Edox

timepiece. To ensure your timepiece oper-

ates perfectly, we recommend that you

follow the advice given in these instruc-

tions (All instruction manuals are also

available on our website www.edox.ch).

The warranty of your Edox watch is valid

for a period of 24 months effective from

the date of purchase and under the terms

and conditions of the present warranty.

The international Edox warranty covers

material and manufacturing defects exist-

ing at the time of delivery of the purchased

Edox watch. The warranty only comes into

force if the warranty certicate is dated,

fully and correctly completed and

stamped by an ofcial Edox retailer.

During the warranty period and by pre-

senting the valid warranty certicate, you

will have the right to have any defect

repaired free of charge. In the event that

repairs are unable to restore the normal

conditions of use of your Edox watch,

Montres Edox & Vista SA guarantees its

replacement by an Edox watch of identical

or similar characteristics.

The warranty for the replacement watch

ends 24 months after the date of pur-

chase of the replaced watch.

The manufacturer’s warranty does not

cover:

• The battery

• The glass

• The leather strap

• Normal wear, and tear and ageing (for

example scratched crystal, alteration of

the colour and/or material of non

metallic straps and chains, such as

leather, rubber).

• Any damage on any part of the watch

resulting from abnormal/abusive use,

lack of care, negligence, accidents

(knocks dents, crushing, broken crystal,

etc.), incorrect use of the watch and

non-observance of the operating

instructions provided by Edox.

• The Edox watch handled by

non-authorized persons (for example

for battery replacement, service or

repair) or which has been altered in its

original condition beyond Edox’ control.

• Edox watches bought from non

authorized retailers since Edox is not

able to check if the watches were

handled and stocked correctly.

Any further claim against Montres Edox &

Vista SA, for example for damages addi-

tional to the above described warranty is

expressly excluded, except mandatory

statutory rights the purchaser may have

against the manufacturer.

The above manufacturer’s warranty:

• Is independent of any warranty that

may be provided by the seller, for

which he carries sole responsibility;

• Does neither affect the purchaser’s

rights against the seller nor any other

mandatory statutory rights the

purchaser may have against the seller.

If your watch needs attention, rely on an

ofcial Edox dealer: he can guarantee ser-

vice according to Edox’ standards.

1.2 Special recommendations

To avoid any errors, do not perform the

date setting between 22h00 and 3h00

when the date mechanism is in action. Be

careful not to confuse noon and midnight.

Never operate pushers or crown when

your timepiece is under water or if it is wet

and ensure that the crown and pushers

are properly pushed back or screwed

down after each use.

We recommend that you have the water

resistance of your timepiece checked at

an authorized Edox center every

24 months or whenever the timepiece

case is opened.

1.3 Maintenance recommendations

Magnetic fields: avoid placing your

watch on loudspeakers, or refrigerators,

since they generate powerful magnetic

elds.

Chemical products: avoid direct contact

with solvents, detergents, perfumes, cos-

metics etc., since they may damage the

bracelet, case or gaskets.

Cleaning: for metal bracelets and water-

resistant cases, use a toothbrush with

soapy water to clean and a soft cloth for

drying.

Shocks: avoid thermal and violent

shocks.

3.3 Water resistance

All Edox timepieces are water-resistant

from 30 to 1500 meters. Check the

details on the back of your Edox timepiece

and read the following instruction care-

fully.

The water resistance of your timepiece

cannot be guaranteed indenitely, consid-

ering that joints may age, crowns or

pushers may sustain knocks and climate

or temperature may vary. We therefore

recommend that you have the water

resistance of your timepiece checked

every 2 years or whenever the timepiece

case is opened.

3.4 Leather straps

Original Edox leather straps are clearly

marked on the buckle and on the reverse

side. Edox uses a large variety of calfskin

leather straps with imprinted patterns of

different animals. Leather straps should

not be used by individuals with strong per-

spiration or by those who stay for long

periods in a humid climate. Leather straps

are not covered by the international Edox

warranty.

3.5 Screw-down crown

Screw down the crown carefully to pre-

vent water from penetrating the

mechanism.

3.6 PVD (Physical Vapour

Deposition)

The advantage of PVD is that it is a thin

but hard layer, resistant to corrosion, has

a strong adherence, offers many choices

of colours and is hypoallergenic.

3.7 Titanium

The titanium is a light metal of a metallic

white aspect. Lighter than the steel, it

possesses the main characteristics: cor-

rosion resistance, dilation, etc. Its

properties make titanium a material

determinedly adapted to the modern tech-

nologies and intended for elds of

application such as the aeronautics, the

automobile, the surgery, the electronics.

3.8 Stainless steel 316L

The stainless steel used for Edox cases

and bracelets appears among the best

alloys at the moment (316L. It is obtained

by a special cast iron which guarantees

an extreme robustness and excellent anti-

magnetic properties. Its low content in

carbon makes it particularly resistant to

the corrosion.

4. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS, HOW

TO USE YOUR MANUAL:

The operating instructions are related to

the reference of the movement (calibre) in

your watch. Please check rst of all which

movement is in your watch. You are able

to nd the reference on the case back of

your watch.

Movement

The rst 2 or 3 digits of the reference rep-

resent the Edox movement code.

Find the reference in the following pages.

4.1 Self winding (automatic)

chronograph

Calibre specifications:

Time display:

Hour and Minute hands (2 and 3).

24 hour display in the centre (4).

Second hand (5).

12 hour hand (2) indexable (local time) in

1/-1 hour increments.

24 hour hand (4) (GMT or time standard).

Calendar:

Calendar hand (6) (local date) at 6 o’clock,

in step with the 12 hour hand.

Important: ﬁrst, manually rewind the

watch by putting the crown (1) into posi-

tion (a) (fully push the crown into the

rewind position). Turn the crown about 30

times in the tightening direction, after

which the watch will, by wrist movements,

automatically reset itself.

Setting the time and date:

Pull the crown (1) out into position (b)

(crown fully pulled out into the time setting

position); turn the hands clockwise so as

to position the hand (4) on the 02.00 hrs

(24.00 hrs scale).

Press the pusher knob (A) until the

(31 days) date changes (hand (6)), the

watch will then display midnight. Press

the pusher knob (A) 2 more times so as to

position the hand (2) to 02.00 a.m.

(12 hours scale).

Press the pusher knob (C) until the

desired date is displayed (hand (6)).

Use the crown to turn the hands clockwise

(1) to position (b) until the desired time is

displayed.

Push the crown (1) in to position (a) (the

watch will start when the crown (1) has

been fully pushed in).

Only one calendar day will be corrected if

the pusher (C) is pressed between

23 hours and midnight. There is no risk of

breakage.

Setting the time zones.

Press pusher knob (A) to display a positive

time difference (one push signiﬁes a shift

of an hour).

Press pusher knob (B) to display a nega-

tive time difference (one push signiﬁes a

shift of an hour).

Movement 08

Watch functions:

The crown has 3 positions:

1. Normal position (wearing posi-

tion): when the crown is positioned

against the case, the crown ensures that

the watch is water-resistant. Occasional

winding: if the watch has not been worn

for more than 40 hours or more, wind it up

with the crown in position 1.

2. Correcting the date: pull the crown

out to position 2, turn the crown forwards,

then push the crown back to position 1.

3. Correcting the day: for the references

011: pull the crown out to position 2, turn

the crown backwards, then push the crown

to position 1. Push the crown back in.

NB: For all references: do not correct

the date between 22h00 and 02h00.

4.Time setting: hours, minutes and sec-

onds. Pull the crown out to position 3. The

seconds hand will stop. Turn the crown

forwards or backwards.

Chronograph functions:

Pusher A: start – stop, start – stop, etc.

Pushers B: reset (after a stop)

Watch functions:

The crown has 3 positions:

1. Normal position (wearing posi-

tion): when the crown is positioned

the watch is water-resistant.

(backwards for references 30 and 45),

then push the crown back to position 1.

Correcting the day for the references

011: pull the crown out to position 2, turn

the crown backwards, then push the crown

to position 1. Push the crown back in.

NB: For all references: do not correct the

date between 22h00 and 02h00.

3. Time setting: hours, minutes and sec-

onds. Pull the crown out to position 3. The

seconds hand will stop. Turn the crown

forwards or backwards. Synchronise the

seconds by pushing the crown back to

position 1 to coincide with a given time

signal.

Chronograph functions:

Pusher A: start – stop, start – stop, etc.

Pusher B: reset (after a stop)

4.2 Self-winding (automatic)

Watch functions:

The crown has 3 positions:

1. Normal position (wearing posi-

tion): when the crown is positioned

against the case, the crown ensures that

the watch is water-resistant.

Month setting (12 months): press the

push-button A until the desired month is

reached.

Day of the week (7 days): press the

push-button B to set the day of the week.

Attention: do not make setting between

22h00 and 02h00 and do not alter the

moon phase between 15h00 and 17h00, to

prevent damage to the watch mechanism.

Movement 93

Watch functions:

The crown has 3 positions:

1. Normal position (wearing posi-

tion): when the crown is positioned

against the case, the crown ensures that

the watch is water-resistant.

Occasional winding: if the watch has

not been worn for more than 42 hours or

more, wind it up with the crown in posi-

tion 1.

2. Correcting the date: pull the crown

out to position 2, turn the crown back-

wards and push it back to position 1.

Correcting the 24 hours hand (GMT):

pull the crown out to position 2, turn the

crown forwards, only the hour hand

moves without affecting the precision ot

the minutes or seconds. If the hand moves

past midnight, the date changes auto-

matically. Push the crown back to

position 1. This hand shows at a glance a

second time zone on a 24 h scale.

3. Time setting: hours, minutes and sec-

onds. Pull the crown out to position 3. The

seconds hand will stop. Turn the crown

forwards or backwards. Synchronise the

seconds by pushing the crown back to

position 1 to coincide with a given time

signal.

4.3 Hand winding watches

Movement 72

Watch functions:

The crown has 2 positions:

1. Normal position (wearing posi-

tion): when the crown is positioned

against the case, the crown ensures that

the watch is water-resistant.

2. Time setting: hours and minutes. Pull

the crown out to position 2. Turn the

crown forwards or backwards. Push the

crown back to position 1.

NB: these watches should be wound daily,

preferably in the morning. To do this, turn

the crown forward until you feel resist-

ance. After this operation, the watch will

work approximately 35 hours after being

fully wound up.

4.4 Quartz chronograph

Movement 09

Operation of the watch:

The crown has three positions.

Button A: start/stop

Button B: split/reset

Adjusting the time: pull the crown into

position III. Adjust the hours and minutes

by rotating the crown in a clockwise or

anticlockwise direction. Return the crown

to position I.

Adjusting the date: do not adjust the

date between 21.00 and 02.00 hours.

Pull the crown into position II. Adjust the

date by rotating the crown in a clockwise

direction. Return the crown to position I.

Measurement of cumulative time:

Good to know: once it has run for 2 hours,

the chronograph automatically stops and

resets to zero in order to extend battery

life.

Press button A to start or stop the chrono-

graph.

Press button B to reset to zero.

Measurement of lap time:

Press button A to start the chronograph.

Press button B to stop the chronograph

and display the lap time.

Press button B to resume timing.

Press button A to stop the chronograph.

Press button B to reset to zero.

Initialization of the chronograph,

minute and second chronograph

functions (only after changing the

battery or incorrect handling):

Pull the crown into position II. Press button

A, wait for two seconds, then press button

A again. The 9-hour timer hand completes

a full revolution. Press button B to adjust

the minute timer hand. Press button A and

the second hand completes a full revolu-

tion. Press button B to adjust the

chronograph second hand.

Press the crown into position I.

Movement 015

Watch functions:

The crown has 3 positions:

1. Normal position (wearing posi-

tion): when the crown is positioned

against the case, the crown ensures that

the watch is water-resistant.

2. Correcting the date: pull the crown

out to position 2, turn the crown back-

wards and push it back to position 1.

3. Time setting: hours, minutes and sec-

onds. Pull the crown out to position 3. The

seconds hand will stop. Turn the crown

forwards or backwards. Synchronise the

seconds by pushing the crown back to

position 1 to coincide with a given time

signal.

Chronograph functions:

Pusher A: start – stop, start – stop, etc.

Timing to 1 second for up to 60 minutes

Pusher B: reset (after a stop)

Split Time function

Pusher A: start

Pusher B: stop to read the split time.

The chronograph continues to operate.

Pusher B: restart

The chronograph hands catch up with the

elapsed time.

Pusher A: for the last stop and to display

the total time.

Pusher B: reset.

NB: the hands should be reset to their

original position before the chronograph is

used:

Resetting of the 60 minutes hand to

zero: crown in position 2 and pusher B.

Resetting of the 30 seconds hand to

zero: crown in position 3 and pusher A.

Resetting of the 5 minutes hand to

zero: crown in position 3 and pusher B.

After setting the hands to their original

positions, return to crown position 1.

Movement 016

Setting the perpetual calendar

Step 1

Start by pulling the crown into position 2

Select the counter to be adjusted by

pressing the 2 o’clock pusher. The

selected counter hand makes full turn.

Reset the selected counter by pressing

the 4 o’clock pusher. The selected counter

hand advances (single push = 1 step,

ongoing push = rotation). Manipulations

(Crown must always be in position 2)

Press the 2 o’clock pusher to select the

« date » counter. The « date » counter hand

makes a full turn. Then press the 4 o’clock

pusher and adjust the date counter to

« 1 ».

Press the 2 o’clock pusher to select the

« day » counter. The « day » counter hand

makes a full turn. Then press the 4 o’clock

pusher and adjust the day counter to

« Monday ».

Press the 2 o’clock pusher to select the

« month » counter. The « month » counter

hand makes a full turn. Then press the

4 o’clock pusher and adjust the month

counter to « January ».

ATTENTION

The setting of the perpetual calendar is

realized when the hands are positioned at

Monday, January 1.

Step 2

Date and Hour Adjustment

Start by pulling the crown into position 3.

Press the 2 o’clock pusher to activate the

« date » adjuster. For the year adjustment,

the hand makes a back and forth move-

ment between 1 and 4. Then press the

4 o’clock pusher to adjust for the current

year and/or leap year:

Select the « month » indicator by pressing

the 2 o’clock pusher. The hand makes a

back and forth movement between Janu-

ary and December. Then adjust the

months by pressing the 4 o’clock pusher.

Select the « date » indicator by pressing

the 2 o’clock pusher. The hand makes a

back and forth movement between 1 and

31. Then adjust the date by pressing the

4 o’clock pusher.

Select the « day » indicator by pressing

the 2 o’clock pusher. The hand makes a

back and forth movement between Mon-

day and Sunday. Then adjust the day by

pressing the 4 o’clock pusher.

When nished, press the crown into posi-

tion 1.

Step 3

Final Control « perpetual calendar » is

set correctly.

Pull the crown into position 2.

Verify the date hands and the small hands

align with Monday, January 1. Push the

crown into position 1. All hands must

return to the selections made under

Step 2. If this is not the case, you need to

go back to Step 1 and 2.

Movement 0165

Watch functions:

Display of hours, minutes, seconds, date,

moon phase counter, 60 minutes and

12 hours counter, second counter.

Intermediate or split-timing:

Start: press pusher A

Display interval: press pusher B

Making up the measured time: press

pusher B

Stop: press pusher A

Reset: press pusher B

Adjusting the chronograph hands

to zero position:

Pull out the crown to position II (all chron-

ograph hands are in the correct or

incorrect zero position).

Press pushers A and B simultaneously for

at least 2 seconds (the second counter

hand rotates by 360 degrees, the correc-

tive mode is activated).

Adjusting the second counter hand: press

pusher A

Adjusting the next hand: press pusher B

Adjusting the 1/10 second counter hand

(at 6h): press pusher A

Adjusting the next hand: press pusher B

Adjusting the minute counter (at 9h):

press pusher A

Returning the crown to position I (termina-

tion of the chronograph hands adjustment,

can be carried out at any time).

lightly for a phased adjustment, keep

pressing for a continuous adjustment).

To adjust the following hand: Press But-

Repeat the adjustments for each hand on

the chronograph.

Push the crown back to position I

Setting the time

Pull the crown into position III

Turn the crown until the correct time is

shown.

Quickly setting the date

Pull the crown into position II (the watch

keeps working)

Turn the crown counter clockwise until the

current date appears

Movement 40

Watch functions:

The crown has two positions: I and II.

Pusher A at 5 o’clock, pusher B at 8

o’clock

Crow in position I: the watch is running

(position of rest)

Crown in position II: during the blocking

time from approx. 11.30pm-5.30am, no

day dates can be changed using the

pusher, as automatic changes are in pro-

gress. Pressing the pusher during the

blocking time may damage the move-

ment.

Setting sequence for: moonphase display,

day of the week, day and time:

1. Pull the crown out to position II (watch

stops)

2. Set the moon phase display: turn the

hands forward by turning the crown, until

the full moonphase position appears.

3. Set the day of the week and date: turn

the crown until the time of 6:00 appears.

Using the quick-change correction, set

the date with pusher A, and the day of the

week of the last full moon with pusher B.

Then using the crown, move the hands

forwards until the current date appears.

4. Set the time: turn the crown until the

current time is displayed.

5. Push the crown back into position I.

Quick-change correction for the date:

press pusher A until the current date is

displayed.

Quick-change correction for the day of the

week: press pusher B until the current day

of the week is displayed.

Watch functions:

The crown has 2 positions 1 and 2. Pusher

A at 2 o’clock, pusher B at 5 o’clock.

Position 1: the watch is running

Position 2: during the blocking time

mentioned beow, automatic changes are

in progress. Pressing the pusher during

the blocking time may damage the move-

ment.

Pusher A (quick-change correction for the

date) must not be pressed during the

block time from 11.30pm – 5.30am.

Pusher B (quick change correction for the

calendar week) must not be pressed dur-

ing the blocking time Sunday-Monday.

Setting sequence for moon phase

display, date, day of the week and

time:

Pull the crown in position 2, the watch

stops.

Moon phase display setting: turn the

crown clockwise past midnight, until the

full moon position appears.

Day of the week setting: chance the

time display by turning the crown back-

wards and forwards until the day of the

week of the last full moon is displayed.

Date setting: turn the crown until 6.ooam

appears in the time display. Set the date of

the last full moon with pusher A. then with

the crown move the hands forwards until

the current date is displayed.

Time setting: turn the crown until the

current time is displayed (NB remember

the 24-hours cycle).

Week calendar setting: using pusher B,

set the current calendar week.

Push the crown back into position 1.

Quick-change correction for date:

press pusher A until the current date is

displayed.

Quick-chance correction for the cal-

endar week: press pusher B until the

current calendar week is displayed.

Movement 64

Watch functions:

The crown has 2 positions:

1. Normal position (wearing posi-

tion): when the crown is positioned

against the case, the crown ensures that

the watch is water-resistant.

2. Time setting: hours and minutes. Pull

the crown out to position 2.

Turn the crown forwards or backwards.

Push the crown back to position 1.

the following day has to be set, because

no automatic date change takes place at

midnight). Turn the crown forwards until

the required date appears. Push the

crown back into position 1.

Quick-chance correction for day of the

week: the second language always rst

appears around 12h00 for about 2 hours,

until the display changes to the required

language. Pull the crown out to position 2

(watch is still running). Turn the crown anti

clockwise until the required day of the week

appears in the requested language. Push

the crown back into position 1.

Time setting: pull the crown in position 3

(the watch stops). Turn the crown until the

current time is displayed (remember the

24-hour cycle). Push the crown back into

position 1.

Alle Zeiger müssen sich nun wieder auf

die Einstellungen zurückbewegen, die in

Schritt 2 vorgenommen wurden.

Falls dies nicht der Fall ist, bitte Schritt 1

und Schritt 2 wiederholen.

Anzeige: Stundenzeiger, Minutenzeiger,

Sekundenzeiger, Datum, Mondphase,

Zähler 60 Sekunden, Zähler 12 Stunden.

Funktionen: Die Krone hat 3 Positionen:

I, II und III, und hat 2 Drücker, A und B.

Nullstellung der Zähler:

Ziehen Sie die Krone bis zur Position II,

drücken Sie Drücker A (Auswahl des Zei-

Krone bis zur Position 2 heraus und dre-

hen Sie die Krone vorwärts.

Anschliessend drücken Sie die Krone

zurück in Position 1.

3. Zeiteinstellung: Stunden, Minuten und

Sekunden. Ziehen Sie die Krone bis zur

Position 3 heraus. Der Sekundenzeiger

stoppt. Drehen Sie die Krone vorwärts oder

rückwärts bis zur gewünschten Zeit. Syn-

chronisieren Sie die Sekunden indem Sie

die Krone in Uebereinstimmung mit einem

Zeitsignal zurückstossen.

Chronograph Funktionen:

Drücker A: Start – Stop, Start – Stop, etc.

Messung von 1/10 Sekunde bis zu

30 Minuten

Drücker B: Nullstellung (nach dem Stopp-

vorgang)

Kumulierte Zeitmessung:

Drücken Sie Drücker A um zu starten.

Drücken Sie Drücker B nach Ankunft des

ersten Läufers. Die Zeit wird angezeigt.

Drücken Sie Drücker A nach Ankunft des

zweiten Läufers. Die Zeit wird gespei-

chert. Lesen Sie die Zeit des ersten

Läufers. Drücken Sie Drücker B und lesen

Sie die Zeit des zweiten Läufers. (Die Zei-

ger des Chronometers werden mit grosser

Geschwindigkeit bis zur gemessenen Zeit

drehen.) Drücken Sie den Drücker B um in

23.30 – 5.30 Uhr dürfen keine

Kalendarfunktionen über die Drücker ver-

ändert werden, da während diesser Zeit

die automatischen Schaltvorgänge aktiv

sind. Weden die Drücker innerhalb der

Sperrfristen betätigt, können Schäden am

Werk entstehen.

Reihenfolge der Einstellung:

Mondphaseanzeige, Wochentag,

Datum und Zeit:

1. Krone in Position II herausziehen (Uh

stoppt).

2. Einstellung der Mondphaseanzeige:

Mittels Krone die Zeiger vorwärts drehen

bis die Vollmondposition angezeigt wird.

3. Einstellung Wochentag und Datum:

Krone drehen bis zur Zeitanzeige 06.00

Uhr. Über die Schnellkorrektur mittels Drü

cker A das Datum und mittels Drücker B

den Wochentag des letzten Vollmondes

einstellen (siehe Tabelle). Dann mittels

Krone die Zeiger vorwärts drehen bis zu,

aktuellem Datum.

4. Einstellung Zeit: Krone drehen bis die

aktuelle Zeit angezeigt wird.

5. Krone zurück in Position I drücken.

Datum stellen: Mit der Krone die Uhrzeit

auf 6h morgens stellen. Mit Drücker A

dann das Datum des letzten Vollmonds

auswählen. Danach dann mit der Krone so

lange die Zeiger vorwärts bewegen bis

das richtige aktuelle Datum erscheint.

Uhrzeit stellen: Mit der Krone die Zeiger

so lange bewegen bis die aktuelle Uhrzeit

zu sehen ist. (Bitte beachten Sie den 24h

Stunden Modus/Anzeige dieser Uhr).

Kalenderwoche stellen: Drücker B

betätigen bis die aktuelle Kalenderwoche

erscheint.

Danach die Krone wieder in Position 1

bringen.

L’étanchéité de votre montre ne peut être

garantie indéniment compte tenu du

vieillissement des joints, des chocs éven-

tuels subis par la couronne ou les

poussoirs, des variations climatiques ou

de température. Nous vous recomman-

dons donc de faire contrôler l’étanchéité

de votre montre tous les 2 ans ou dès

l’ouverture du boîtier auprès d’un spécia-

liste.

3.4 Bracelets en cuir

Les bracelets en cuir originaux d’Edox

sont clairement marqués comme tels, au

verso et sur la boucle. Edox utilise une

large variété de bracelets en peau de

vache avec le dessin de différents ani-

maux. Un bracelet en cuir n’est pas

recommandé à une personne qui trans-

pire plus que la moyenne, ou qui vit sous

un climat humide pendant une longue

période. Les bracelets en cuir ne sont pas

couverts par la garantie internationale

Edox.

3.5 Couronnes vissées

Il est recommandé de visser la couronne

jusqu’à l’arrêt pour éviter une pénétra tion

d’eau dans la montre.

3.6 Revêtement en PVD (physical

vapour deposition ou dépôt

physique de vapeur)

Le PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) est un

procédé de dépôt par condensation de la

vapeur métallique.

Le PVD offre de nombreux avantages :

couche mince mais très résistante, anti-

corrosive, avec une adhérence maxi male,

et un grand choix de couleurs.

3.7 Titane

Le titane est un métal de transition léger

d'un aspect blanc métallique. Plus léger

que l'acier il en possède les caractéris-

tiques principales accrues : résistance à la

corrosion, dilatation, etc. Ses propriétés

font du titane un matériau résolument

adapté aux techno logies modernes et des-

tiné à des domaines d'application tels que

l'aéro nautique, l'automobile, la chirurgie,

l'électronique.

3.8 Acier 316L

L'acier inoxydable utilisé pour les boîtes et

bracelets Edox gure parmi les meilleurs

alliages à l'heure actuelle (316L). Il est

obtenu par une fonte spéciale qui garantit

une extrême robus tesse et d'excellentes

propriétés antimagnétiques. Sa faible

teneur en carbone le rend particulière-

ment résistant à la corrosion.

Mise à l’heure et à la date :

Tirer la couronne (1) en position (b) (cou-

ronne tirée à fond position mise à l’heure),

faire tourner les aiguilles dans le sens

horaire, an de positionner l’aiguille (4)

sur 02.00 h (échelle 24.00 h).

Appuyer sur le bouton-correcteur (A)

jusqu’à ce que la date (31 jours) change

(aiguille 6), la montre indique alors minuit.

Appuyer encore 2 fois sur le bouton-cor-

recteur (A) an de positionner l’aiguille (2)

sur 02.00 h du matin (échelle 12.00 h).

Appuyer sur le bouton-correcteur (C)

jusqu’à ce que la date souhaitée soit indi-

quée (aiguille 6).

Tourner les aiguilles dans le sens horaire

par la couronne (1) en position (b) jusqu’à

l’heure désirée.

Repousser la couronne (1) en position (a)

(la montre démarre lorsque la couronne

(1) est repoussée à fond).

Une correction de quantième par le pous-

soir (C) entre 23 heures et minuit ne

permettra de corriger qu’un seul jour.

Aucun risque de casse.

Réglage fuseaux horaires.

Appuyer sur le bouton-correcteur (A) pour

indiquer un décalage horaire positif (une

pression correspond à un décalage

d’une heure).

Appuyer sur le bouton-correcteur (B) pour

indiquer un décalage horaire négatif (une

pression correspond à un décalage

d’une heure).

Fonctionnement de la montre :

La couronne a trois positions :

1. Position normale : lorsque la cou-

ronne est positionnée contre la boîte, elle

assure l’étanchéité de la montre.

2. Remontage manuel occasionnel : si

la montre n’a pas été portée pendant 40

heures ou plus, il est nécessaire de la

remonter manuellement avec la couronne

en position 1.

3. Correction de la date : tirer la cou-

ronne en position 2, tourner dans le sens

des aiguilles d’une montre, remettre

ensuite la couronne en position initiale.

4. Réglage de l’heure : tirer la couronne en

position 3. L’aiguille des secondes s’arrête.

Tourner la couronne en avant ou en arrière.

Repousser la couronne en position 1.

Fonctions chronographe :

Poussoir A : - stop, marche – stop, etc.

Poussoir B : remise à zéro

Fonctionnement de la montre :

La couronne a trois positions :

1. Position normale : lorsque la cou-

ronne est positionnée contre la boîte, elle

assure l’étanchéité de la montre.

Remontage manuel occasionnel : si la

montre n’a pas été portée pendant

40 heures ou plus, il est nécessaire de la

remonter manuellement avec la cou ronne

en position 1.

2. Correction de la date : tirez la cou-

ronne en position 2, faites-la tourner en

avant (en arrière pour les références 30 et

45), ensuite repoussez-la en position 1.

Correction du jour pour les réfé-

rences 011 : si nécessaire, dévis sez la

couronne, puis tirez-la en position 2,

faites-la tourner en arrière, ensuite

repoussez-la en position 1. Revissez la

couronne.

NB : pour toutes les références : ne jamais

corriger la date entre 22h00 et 02h00.

3. Réglage de l’heure : heures, minu tes

et secondes. Tirez la couronne en posi-

tion 3, l’aiguille des secondes s’arrête.

Tournez la couronne en avant ou en

arrière. Synchronisez l’aiguille des

secondes en la repoussant en même

temps qu’un signal horaire.

Fonctionnement du chronographe :

Poussoir A : départ – arrêt, départ – arrêt,

etc.

Poussoir B : remise à zéro (après un arrêt)

Fonctionnement de la montre :

La couronne a trois positions :

1. Position normale : lorsque la cou-

ronne est positionnée contre la boîte, elle

assure l’étanchéité de la montre.

Remontage manuel occasionnel : si la

montre n’a pas été portée pendant

42 heures ou plus, il est nécessaire de la

remonter manuellement avec la couron ne

en position 1.

2. Correction de la date : tirez la cou-

ronne en position 2, faites-la tourner en

avant (en arrière pour les références 83),

ensuite repoussez-la en position 1.

Correction du jour pour les réfé rences

83 : tirez la couronne en position 2, faites-

la tourner en arrière, ensuite repoussez-la

en position 1.

3. Réglage de l’heure : heures, minu tes et

secondes. Tirez la couronne en position 3,

l’aiguille des secondes s’arrête. Tournez la

couronne en avant ou en arrière. Synchroni-

sez l’aiguille des secondes en repoussant la

tige en même temps qu’un signal horaire.

Réserve de marche : références 94 : la

petite aiguille qui se trouve dans le comp-

teur à 06h00 indique la réserve de marche.

Si la montre n’est pas portée pendant

42 heures ou plus, elle s’arrête. Vous pou -

vez la remettre en marche en tournant la

couronne en position 1 ou en la remettant

au poignet. L’aiguille de la réserve de

marche va ainsi se déplacer et vous indi-

quer la durée de fonctionnement restante.

Mouvement 805

Fonctionnement de la montre :

La couronne a trois positions :

1. Réglage de l’heure : tirer la couronne

en position 3, la montre s’arrête, tourner

la couronne dans le sens des aiguilles

d’une montre jusqu’à ce que l’heure cor-

recte soit afchée. Repousser la couronne

en position 1.

2. Réglage de la date : tirer la couronne

en position 2 et la tourner dans le sens

horaire jusqu’à ce que la date soit juste.

Repousser la couronne en position 1.

3. Réglage de la lune : tirer la couronne

en position 2 et la tourner dans le sens

anti horaire jusqu’à ce que la pleine lune

apparaisse au centre du guichet des

phases de lune. Déterminer la date de la

dernière pleine lune à l’aide d’un calen-

drier lunaire indiquant les états de la lune.

Tourner à nouveau la couronne (Posi-

tion 2) dans le sens anti horaire pour faire

autant de fois de saut de lune qu’il s’est

écoulé de jours depuis la dernière pleine

lune. Cette démarche est également

valable avec la nouvelle lune au lieu de la

pleine lune. Repousser la couronne en

position 1.

Mouvements 47, 85, 853

Fonctionnement de la montre :

La couronne a deux positions :

1. Position normale : lorsque la cou-

ron ne est positionnée contre la boîte, elle

assure l’étanchéité de la montre.

Mécanisme de répétition : en appuyant

sur le poussoir, vous action nez le méca-

nisme de répétition : la première série de

coups indique les heures (un ton), la

seconde série de coups indique les tranches

de 5 minutes (deux tons). Exemple : 11h43 :

vous entendez tout d’abord 11 coups

simples, puis 8 coups doubles.

Attention : il est absolument indispen-

sable de laisser le mécanisme frapper

tous les coups indiqués par les aiguilles

avant de l’actionner à nouveau, sinon

vous l’endommagez. Ne pas modier

l’heure lorsque la sonnerie est activée. Le

fabricant décline toute responsabilité

dans ce cas.

60 minutes : couronne en position 2,

appuyez sur le poussoir B.

30 secondes : couronne en position 3,

appuyez sur le poussoir A.

Après avoir réglé les aiguilles dans leur

Commencez par tirer la couronne en

Sélectionnez le compteur à régler en

Réinitialisez le compteur sélectionné en

appuyant sur le poussoir à 4 heures.

L’aiguille du compteur sélectionné avance

(1 pression = 1 cran, pression continue =

Etape 2

Réglage de la date et de l’heure

Commencez par tirer la couronne en posi-

tion 3.

Appuyez sur le poussoir à 2 heures pour

activer le dispositif de réglage «date».

Pour régler l’année, l’aiguille fait un mou-

vement de va-et-vient entre 1 et 4.

Appuyez ensuite sur le poussoir à

4 heures pour indiquer l’année en cours

et/ou une année bissextile :

Fonctionnement de la montre :

La couronne a deux positions : I et II.

Poussoir A à 5h et poussoir B à 8h.

Position I : la montre fonctionne (position

de repos)

Position II : durant le temps de verrouillage

de 23.30 à 5.30 environ, aucune fonction

calendrier ne doit être changée par le

biais des poussoirs car les changements

de mécanismes sont en cours. Si les

poussoirs sont actionnés durant les temps

de verrouillage, le mouvement peut être

endommagé.

Ordre de réglage : afﬁchage de la phase

de lune, jour de la semaine, date et heure :

1. Tirer la couronne en position II (la

montre s’arrête).

2. Réglage de l’afﬁchage de la phase de

lune : tourner les aiguilles en avant par la

couronne, jusqu’à l’afﬁchage de la posi-

tion pleine lune.

3. Réglage du jour de la semaine et de la

date : tourner la couronne jusqu’à ce que

6.00 s’afﬁche. Par le biais de la correction

rapide au moyen du poussoir A, régler la

date et, au moyen du poussoir B, le jour

de la semaine de la dernière pleine lune.

Puis au moyen de la couronne, tourner les

aiguilles en avant jusqu’à ce que la date

actuelle s’afﬁche.

4. Réglage de l’heure : tourner la cou-

ronne jusqu’é ce que l’heure actuelle

s’afﬁche.

5. Repousser la couronne en position I.

Correction rapide de la date : presser sur

le poussoir A jusqu’à ce que la date

actuelle d’afﬁche.

Correction rapide du jour de la semaine :

presser sur le poussoir B jusqu’à ce que le

jour de la semaine actuel s’afﬁche.

Correction rapide du mois : presser sur le

poussoir C jusqu’à ce que le mois actuel

s’afﬁche.

calendaire est automatiquement activé. Si

les poussoirs sont actionnés durant le

temps de verrouillage, le mouvement peut

être endommagé.

Poussoir A (correction rapide de la date) :

ne doit pas être pressé durant le temps de

verrouillage (entre 23.30 et 5.30).

Poussoir B (correction rapide de la

semaine calendaire) : ne doit pas être

pressé durant le temps de verrouillage

entre dimanche-lundi.

Ordre de réglage : affichage de la

phase de lune, date, jour de la

semaine et heure :

Tirer la couronne en position II, la montre

s’arrête.

Réglage de l’affichage de la phase de

lune : tourner la couronne dans le sens

des aiguilles d’une montre sur 24 heures

jusqu’à l’afﬁchage de la position pleine

lune.

Réglage du jour de la semaine : tour-

ner la couronne en position arrière/avant

jusqu’à ce que le jour de la semaine de la

dernière pleine lune s’afﬁche.

Réglage de la date : tourner la couronne

jusqu’à ce que 6h s’afﬁche. Avec le pous-

soir A, régler la date de la dernière pleine

lune. Puis avec la couronne, tourner les

aiguilles en avant jusqu’à l’afﬁchage de la

date actuelle.

Réglage de l’heure : tourner la couronne

jusqu’à ce que l’heure actuelle s’afﬁche.

Réglage de la semaine calendaire :

presser le poussoir B jusqu’à ce que la

Fonctionnement de la montre :

La couronne a trois positions :

1. Position normale : lorsque la cou-

ronne est positionnée contre la boîte, elle

assure l’étanchéité de la montre.

2. Correction de la date : tirer la cou-

ronne en position 2 : le réglage de la date

peut être effectué pendant la phase de

saut entre 22.00 et 24.00 heures. Dans

ce cas, il faut adapter la date du jour sui-

vant, car il n’y a pas de saut à minuit. Tirer

la couronne en position 2, tourner la cou-

ronner dans le sens des aiguilles d’une

montre jusqu’à ce que la date actuelle

s’afﬁche. Repousser la couronne en posi-

tion 1.

Correction rapide jour de la semaine :

A 24h00, la deuxième langue apparait

pendant environ 2 heures jusqu’à ce que

l’afﬁchage passe à la langue effective.

Tirer la couronne en position 2, tourner la

couronne dans le sens inverse des

aiguilles d’une montre jusqu’à ce que le

jour de la semaine souhaité s’afﬁche dans

la langue souhaitée. Repousser la cou-

ronne en position 1.

3. Réglage de l’heure : tirer la couronne

en position 3 (la montre s’arrête), tourner

la couronne jusqu’à ce que l’heure

actuelle s’afﬁche (respecter le rythme

horaire de 24 heures), repousser la cou-

ronne en position 1.

3.3 Waterbestendigheid

Alle Edox horloges zijn waterdicht van 30

tot 1500 meter. Controleer de details op

de achterdeksel van uw Edox horologe en

lees de volgende instructies aandachtig.

De waterbestendigheid van uw horologe

kan niet eindeloos worden gegarandeerd,

gezien het feit dat gewrichten kunnen ver-

ouderen, kronen of drukknoppen hebben

wellicht stoten te verduren en het klimaat

of de temperatuur kan variëren. Wij raden

u daarom aan de waterdichtheid van uw

horloge om de 2 jaar te laten controleren

of wanneer het uurwerkkast is geopend.

3.4 Lederen banden

De originele Edox lederen polsband heeft

een duidelijke markering op de gesp en

op de andere kant. Edox gebruikt een

grote variatie kalfslederen banden met

verschillende dierenprints. Mensen die

veel transpireren en mensen die langdurig

in een vochtig klimaat verblijven worden

afgeraden lederen polsbanden te dragen.

De lederen polsband valt niet onder de

Edox garantie.

3.5 Schroefkroon

Draai de kroon zorgvuldig terug om te

voorkomen dat water het uurwerk kan

binnendringen.

3.6 PVD beschermingslaag

Het voordeel van PVD is dat het een

dunne, maar wel harde laag is. Tevens is

het bestand tegen verroesting en laat

onder normale omstandigheden niet los.

PVD biedt een grote keuze aan kleuren, en

is ook hypoallergeen.

3.7 Titanium

Titanium is een licht metaal met een licht-

grijze tint. Behalve dat het lichter is dan

staal, bezit het deze belangrijke kenmer-

ken: weerstand tegen corrosie en

uitzetting door hitte, enz. Deze eigen-

schappen maken van titanium een

materiaal dat uitstekend geschikt is voor

moderne technologieën, zoals in de lucht-

vaart- en automobielindustrie, in de

operatiekamer en in elektronica.

3.8 Roestvrij staal 316L

Het roestvrij staal gebruikt voor de Edox

kasten en banden verschijnt onder de

beste legeringen op het moment, 316L.

Het wordt verkregen door een speciale

gietijzer die een extreme robuustheid en

uitstekende antimagnetische eigenschap-

pen garandeerd. Het lage gehalte aan

koolstof maakt het bijzonder resistent

tegen de corrosie.

4. GEBRUIKERSINSTRUCTIES, HOE

UW HANDLEIDING TE

GEBRUIKEN:

De gebruikersinstructies zijn gerelateerd

aan de referentie van het uurwerk (kaliber)

van uw horloge. Kijkt u alstublieft eerst

welk uurwerk er in uw horloge zit. U kunt

de referentie vinden aan de achterzijde

van de horlogekast van uw horloge.

4.2 Zelfopwindende (automatische)

horloges

Uurwerken 37, 77, 80, 82, 83, 88,

94, 96

Horloge functies:

De kroon heeft 3 posities:

1. Normale Positie (draag positie): als

de kroon tegen de horlogekast gepositio-

neerd is, zorgt de kroon ervoor dat het

horloge waterbestendig is.

Af en toe opwinden: wanneer het hor-

loge 42 uur of langer niet gedragen is, de

kroon in positie 1 opwinden.

2. Instellen van de datum: trek de

kroon uit naar positie 2, draai de kroon

achterwaarts (voorwaarts voor referentie-

nummers 83) en druk de kroon daarna

terug in positie 1.

Instellen van de dag: voor referentie-

nummers 83: trek de kroon uit naar

positie 2, draai de kroon achterwaarts, en

druk de kroon daarna terug naar positie 1.

3. Instellen van de tijd: Uren, minuten

en seconden: Trek de kroon uit naar posi-

tie 3. De secondewijzer zal stoppen.

Draai de kroon voorwaarts of achter-

waarts. Synchroniseer de secondewijzer

door de kroon terug te drukken naar posi-

tie 1 bij een gegeven tijdsignaal.

Reserve power: voor referentienummers

94: De kleine wijzer geeft op de 6 uur

positie de gangreserve aan. Als het auto-

matische mechanische horloge niet

gedragen wordt, heeft de gangreserve

een duur van ongeveer 42 uur. De gan-

greserve kan groter gemaakt worden door

de kroon handmatig in positie 1op te win-

den, of door het horloge te dragen.

Uurwerk 805

Horloge functies:

De kroon heeft 3 posities:

1. Tijd instellen: trek de kroon uit naar

positie 3 (het horloge stopt met lopen),

draai de kroon voorwaarts totdat de cor-

recte tijd verschijnt. Duw de kroon terug

naar positie 1.

2. Datum instellen: trek de kroon uit naar

positie 2 en draai de kroon voorwaarts tot-

dat de correcte datum verschijnt. Duw de

kroon weer terug naar positie 1.

3. Maan instellen: trek de kroon naar

positie 2 en draai deze achterwaarts tot-

dat de volle maan verschijnt in het midden

van het maanfase venster. Bepaal de

datum van de laatste volle maan met een

kalender. Draai de kroon achterwaarts zo

veel als maanfases en dagen sinds de

laatste volle maan. Dit is ook geldig voor

de nieuwe maan meting. Duw de kroon

terug naar positie 1.

Uurwerken 47, 85, 853

Horloge functies:

De kroon heeft 2 posities:

1. Normale Positie (draag positie): als

de kroon tegen de horlogekast gepositio-

neerd is, zorgt de kroon ervoor dat het

horloge waterbestendig is.

Af en toe opwinden: als het horloge

langer dan 42 uur niet gedragen is, zal het

stilstaan. Het horloge kan dan opgewon-

den worden met de kroon in positie 1.

2. Tijd instellen: Uren, minuten en

seconden. Trek de kroon uit naar posi-

tie 3. De secondewijzer zal stoppen. Draai

de kroon voor- of achterwaarts. Synchro-

niseer de secondewijzer door de kroon

terug te drukken naar positie 1 bij een

gegeven tijdsignaal.

Uurwerk 87

Horloge functies:

De kroon heeft 2 posities:

1. Normale Positie (draag positie): als

de kroon tegen de horlogekast gepositio-

neerd is, zorgt de kroon ervoor dat het

horloge waterbestendig is.

Af en toe opwinden: als het horloge lan-

ger dan 42 uur niet gedragen is, wind het

horloge op terwijl de kroon in positie 1 is.

2. Instellen van de tijd: Uren en minu-

ten: Trek de kroon uit naar positie 2. Draai

de kroon voor- of achterwaarts. Druk de

kroon daarna terug in positie 1.

Handgestuurde gong: Door de druk-

knop in te drukken, activeert u het

“5 minuten repetitie” mechanisme: de

eerste serie klokslagen laat voor elk uur 1

signaal horen, de tweede serie van alarm

laat elke 5 minuten 2 signalen horen. Bij-

voorbeeld: 11.43 minuten: eerst gaat 11

af met een enkel signaal – het uur –

daarna klinken er 8 dubbele signalen – de

minuten 8 x 5 = 40 minuten.

Attentie: laat de mechanische gong

helemaal afspelen voordat er nogmaals

op de knop gedrukt wordt om schade te

voorkomen. Wijzig de tijd niet wanneer de

gong is geactiveerd. Edox kan geen

garantie geven op schade ontstaan door

misbruik.

Uurwerk 90

Horloge functies:

De kroon heeft 2 posities:

1. Normale Positie (draag positie): als

de kroon tegen de horlogekast gepositio-

neerd is, zorgt de kroon ervoor dat het

horloge waterbestendig is.

Af en toe opwinden: als het horloge

langer dan 42 uur niet gedragen is, zal het

stilstaan. Het horloge kan dan opgewon-

den worden met de kroon in positie 1.

2. Instellen van de tijd: Uren en minu-

ten: Trek de kroon uit naar positie 2. Draai

de kroon voor- of achterwaarts. Druk de

kroon daarna terug in positie 1.

Instellen van de maancyclus: Druk

drukknop C in totdat er een volle maan

verschijnt in het midden van de maan

opening. Kijk de datum van de laatste

volle maan na met behulp van een kalen-

der. Druk drukknop C zo vaak in als er

dagen na de laatste volle maan voorbij zijn

gegaan.

Instellen van de datum (31 dagen):

Druk drukknop D in totdat het centrale

wijzer de juiste dag aanwijst.

Instellen van de maand (21 maan-

den): Druk drukknop A in tot dat de juiste

maand verschijnt.

Dagen van de week (7 dagen): Druk

drukknop B in om de dag van de week te

bepalen.

Veiligheidswaarschuwing: Geen bij-

stellingen doen tussen 22.00 en 22.00

uur, en de maancyclus niet veranderen

door drukknop C te gebruiken tussen

15.00 en 17.00 uur, om beschadigingen

aan het uurwerk te voorkomen.

Attentie: doe geen aanpassingen tussen

22u00 en 02u00 en wijzig de maanfase

niet tussen 15u00 en 17u00 om schade

aan het mechanism te vermijden.

Uurwerk 93

Horloge functies:

De kroon heeft 3 posities:

1. Normale Positie (draag positie): als

de kroon tegen de horlogekast gepositio-

neerd is, zorgt de kroon ervoor dat het

horloge waterbestendig is.

Af en toe opwinden: als het horloge lan-

ger dan 42 uur niet gedragen is, wind het

horloge op terwijl de kroon in positie 1 is.

2. Instellen van de datum: pull the

crown out to position 2, turn the trek de

kroon uit naar positie 2, draai de kroon

achterwaarts en druk de kroon daarna

terug in positie 1.

De 24-uurs (GMT) wijzer instellen:

trek de kroon uit naar positie 2, draai de

kroon voorwaarts, alleen de grote wijzer

zal bewegen zonder de precisie van de

minutenwijzer of secondewijzer te beïn-

vloeden. Druk de kroon daarna terug in

positie 1. Deze wijzer laat in een oogop-

slag de tweede tijdzone zien op een

schaal van 24 uur zien.

3. Tijd instellen: Uren, minuten en

seconden. Trek de kroon uit naar posi-

tie 3. De secondewijzer zal stoppen. Draai

de kroon voor- of achterwaarts. Synchro-

niseer de secondewijzer door de kroon

terug te drukken naar positie 1 bij een

gegeven tijdsignaal.

4.3 Handmatige Opwind Horloges

Uurwerk 72

Horloge functies:

De kroon heeft 2 posities:

1. Normale Positie (draag positie): als

de kroon tegen de horlogekast gepositio-

neerd is, zorgt de kroon ervoor dat het

horloge waterbestendig is.

2. Instellen van de tijd: Uren en minu-

ten: Trek de kroon uit naar positie 2. Draai

de kroon voor- of achterwaarts. Druk de

kroon daarna terug in positie 1.

NB: Deze horloges dienen dagelijks ’s

ochtends opgewonden te worden. Om dit

te doen, draai de kroon voorwaarts tot u

weerstand voelt. Na deze handeling zal

het horloge ongeveer 35 uur werken als

het volledig is opgewonden.

4.4 Quartz Chronograaf

Uurwerk 09

Werking van het horloge:

De kroon heeft 3 posities.

Drukknop A: start/stop

Drukknop B: splits/reset

Tijd instellen: trek de kroon uit naar posi-

tie III. Wijzig de uren en minuten door de

kroon voorwaarts of achterwaarts te

draaien. Duw de kroon terug naar positie I.

Datum instellen: wijzig de datum niet

tussen 22.00u en 02.00u. Trek de kroon

uit naar positie II. Wijzig de datum door de

kroon voorwaarts te draaien. Duw de kroon

terug naar positie I.

Aflezen van cumulatieve tijd:

Goed om te weten: als de tijd 2 uur loopt,

zal de chronograaf automatisch stoppen en

naar nul resetten zodat de batterij langer

mee gaat.

Druk op drukknop A om de chronograaf te

starten of te stoppen.

Druk op drukknop B om te resetten naar

nul.

Aflezen van een rondetijd:

Druk op drukknop A om de chronograaf te

starten.

Druk op drukknop B om de chronograaf te

stoppen en de rondetijd te tonen.

Druk op drukknop B om door te gaan met

tijdmeten.

Druk op drukknop A om de chronograaf te

stoppen.
