Safety instructions
ξ Read the Instruction manual and Installation instructions and all other information enclosed with the washing
machine and act accordingly.
ξ Retain the documents for subsequent use.
Risk of electric shock ξ Never pull the cable to disconnect the mains plug
ξ Only insert/pull out the mains plug with dry hands.
Danger to life For appliances that have reached the end of their service life:
ξ Disconnect the mains plug.
ξ Sever the mains cable and discard along with the plug.
ξ Destroy the lock on the washing machine door. This will prevent children from
locking themselves in and risking their lives.
Danger of suffocation ξ Keep packaging, film and packaging parts out of the reach of children.
Risk of poisoning ξ Keep detergents and care products out of the reach of children.
Risk of explosion ξ Items of laundry pretreated with cleaning agents containing solvents, e.g. stain
remover/cleaning solvent may cause an explosion after being loaded into the
washing machine.
Rinse items of laundry thoroughly by hand beforehand.
Risk of injury ξ The washing machine door can become very hot.
ξ Be careful when emptying hot detergent solution.
ξ Do not climb onto the washing machine.
ξ Do not lean on the open washing machine door.
ξ Do not reach into the drum if it is still rotating.

Important information
Before washing for the first time
Do not put any laundry in the machine. Turn the tap on. Pour into compartment II:
ξapprox. water1 litre
ξ detergent (dosage according to the manufacturer's instructions for light soiling and according to water hardness)
Set programme selector to ξ Easy-Care 60 Β°C and press $Start/Reload. At the end of the programme, turn the
programme selector to .Off
Protecting the laundry and the machine
ξ When determining the dosage of all washing powders, additives and cleaning agents, you must follow the
manufacturer's instructions.
ξ Empty pockets.
ξ Look out for metal items (paperclips, etc.).
ξ Wash delicates in a laundry bag (tights, curtains, underwired bras).
ξ Fasten zips, do up any buttons.
ξ Brush sand out of pockets and collars.
ξ Remove curtain fittings or place in the laundry bag.
Load laundry
ξFor optimum spin behaviour, load large small items of laundry together.and
ξ Individual items may lead to considerable imbalances.
ξ .Take care not to trap items of laundry between the washing machine door and the rubber seal
Soaking Load laundry of the same colour.
Pour soaking agent/detergent into compartment in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Turn the II
programme selector to /Reload. After approx. 10 minutes, press L $ Cottons 30 Β°C and press Start
$ Start/ to stop the programme. Once the required soaking time has elapsed, press /Reload again Reload $Start
to continue the programme, or select a different programme.
Starching Laundry must not be treated with fabric softener
Starching is possible in all wash programmes if liquid starch is used. Pour starch into the fabric softener ~
compartment in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions (rinse first if necessary).
Dyeing/bleaching
Dye should only be used in normal household quantities. Salt may damage stainless steel. Always follow the dye
manufacturer's instructions. Do use the washing machine for bleaching clothes.not
Load display
The load sensor detects how heavily the washing machine is loaded. The laundry is not weighed.
Recommended dosage
Based on the selected programme and the detected load, the recommended dosage function provides a
recommendation for the detergent dosage in %. The % figure refers to the recommendation of the detergent
manufacturer.
Load adjust
Independently of the load display, the automatic load sensing function uses additional sensors to adapt the water and
power consumption ideally to each programme, depending on the type of fabric and the load.

Insert for liquid detergent model-dependent
Position the insert for dispensing liquid detergent:
ξRemove the detergent drawer completely apage 10.
ξ Slide the insert forwards.
Do not use the insert (slide upwards):
ξ for gel detergents and washing powder
ξfor programmes with the and options.ξPrewash end time
Care
ΚMachine housing, control panel
ξ Remove detergent residue immediately.
ξ Wipe with a soft, damp cloth.
ξ Do not clean with a jet of water.
Cleaning the detergent drawer ...
... if it contains detergent or fabric softener residues.
1. Pull out, press insert down, remove drawer completely.
2. To remove the insert: press the insert upwards from below with your finger.
3. Clean the detergent dispenser tray and insert with water and a brush and
dry it.
4. Fit the insert and engage (connect the cylinder to the guide pin).
5. Push in the detergent drawer.
Leave the detergent drawer open so that any residual water can evaporate.
ΚDrum
Use chlorine-free cleaning agent, not steel wool.
Κ Descaling No laundry in the machine.
This should not be necessary if the detergent is measured out correctly. If it does become necessary, however, proceed
according to the descaling agent manufacturer's instructions. Suitable descalers can be obtained via our website or
from our after-sales service ( .page 13)
Information on the display panel depending on model
Door open? Close the washing machine door properly; laundry may be caught.
Tap closed? Open the tap completely, supply hose kinked or trapped; Clean the filter ,a page 11
water pressure too low.
Pump blocked? Detergent solution pump blocked; Clean the detergent solution pump a page 11.
Drainage hose/waste pipe blocked; Clean the drainage hose at the siphon a page 11.

F: 23 Water in the base tub, appliance leaking. Call the after-sales service.
F: 34 Washing machine door cannot be locked. Open the washing machine door and close it so
that you hear it "click"; switch the appliance off and on again; set the programme and
make your settings; start the programme.
Other displays Switch off the appliance, wait for 5 seconds and switch it back on. If the display appears
again, call the after-sales service apage 13.
ξRisk of electric shock. Disconnect the mains plug.
ξRisk of explosion. No solvents.
