GerÀtebeschreibung
Betriebsarten
Abluftbetrieb:
❑Der LĂŒfter der Dunstabzugshaube saugt
den KĂŒchendunst an und
leitet ihn durch den FettïŹlter ins Freie.
❑Der FettïŹlter nimmt die fettigen
Bestandteile des KĂŒchendunstes auf.
❑Die KĂŒche bleibt weitgehend frei von
Fett und Geruch.
DBei Abluftbetrieb der Dunstabzugs-
haube und gleichzeitigem Betrieb
schornsteinabhÀngiger Feuerungen (wie
z. B. Gas-, Öl- oder KohleheizgerĂ€te,
Durchlauferhitzer, Warmwasserbereiter)
muss fĂŒr ausreichend Zuluft gesorgt
werden, die von der FeuerstÀtte zur
Verbrennung benötigt wird.
Ein gefahrloser Betrieb ist möglich, wenn
der Unterdruck im Aufstellraum der
FeuerstÀtte von 4 Pa (0,04 mbar) nicht
ĂŒberschritten wird.

Gebrauchsanleitung:
Betriebsarten
Dies kann erreicht werden, wenn durch
nicht verschließbare Öffnungen, z. B. in
TĂŒren, Fenstern und in Verbindung mit
Zuluft-/Abluftmauerkasten oder durch
andere techn. Maßnahmen, wie
gegenseitige Verriegelung o. À., die
Verbrennungsluft nachströmen kann.
Bei nicht ausreichender Zuluft besteht
Vergiftungsgefahr durch zurĂŒckgesaugte
Verbrennungsgase.
Ein Zuluft-/Abluftmauerkasten allein stellt
die Einhaltung des Grenzwertes nicht
sicher.
Anmerkung: Bei der Beurteilung muss
immer der gesamte LĂŒftungsverbund der
Wohnung beachtet werden. Bei Betrieb von
KochgerÀten, z. B. Kochmulde und Gas-
herd wird diese Regel nicht angewendet.
Wenn die Dunstabzugshaube im Umluftbe-
trieb – mit AktivkohleïŹlter – verwendet wird,
ist der Betrieb ohne EinschrÀnkung
möglich.
Umluftbetrieb:
❑Hierzu muss ein AktivkohleïŹlter
eingebaut werden (siehe Filter und
Wartung).
ëȘ‡Das komplette Montage-Set sowie
die ErsatzïŹlter können Sie beim
Fachhandel erwerben.
Die entsprechenden Zubehör-Nummern
ïŹnden Sie am Ende dieser Gebrauchs-
anleitung.
❑Der LĂŒfter der Dunstabzugshaube saugt
den KĂŒchendunst an und leitet ihn durch
den Fett- und AktivkohleïŹlter gereinigt in
die KĂŒche zurĂŒck.
❑Der FettïŹlter nimmt die fettigen
Bestandteile des KĂŒchendunstes auf.
❑Der AktivkohleïŹlter bindet die
Geruchsstoffe.
ëȘ‡Wird kein AktivkohleïŹlter eingebaut,
können keine Geruchsstoffe des
KĂŒchendunstes gebunden werden.

Vor dem ersten Benutzen
Wichtige Hinweise:
❑Diese Gebrauchsanleitung gilt fĂŒr
mehrere GerĂ€te-AusfĂŒhrungen.
Es ist möglich, dass einzelne
Ausstattungsmerkmale beschrieben
sind, die nicht auf Ihr GerÀt zutreffen.
❑Diese Dunstabzugshaube entspricht den
einschlÀgigen Sicherheitsbestimmungen.
Reparaturen dĂŒrfen nur von FachkrĂ€ften
durchgefĂŒhrt werden.
Durch unsachgemĂ€ĂŸe Reparaturen
können erhebliche Gefahren fĂŒr den
Benutzer entstehen.
ëȘ‡Unter der Dunstabzugshaube nicht
ïŹ‚ambieren.
Brandgefahr am FettïŹlter durch
!aufsteigende Flammen.
ëȘ‡Die Kochstellen mĂŒssen immer mit
Kochgeschirr abgedeckt sein.
ëȘ‡Ăœber einer FeuerstĂ€tte fĂŒr feste
Brennstoffe (Kohle, Holz und dgl.) ist der
Betrieb der Dunstabzugshaube nur bedingt
gestattet (siehe Montageanleitung).
Gas-Kochmulden / Gas-Herde
ëȘ‡Betreiben Sie nicht alle Gas-
Kochstellen gleichzeitig ĂŒber lĂ€ngere Zeit
(max. 15 Minuten) bei höchster
WĂ€rmebelastung, sonst besteht
Verbrennungsgefahr bei BerĂŒhrung der
GehĂ€useoberïŹ‚Ă€chen bzw. Gefahr der
BeschÀdigung der Dunstabzugshaube.
Beim Betrieb der Dunstabzugshaube ĂŒber
einem Gas-Kochfeld muss bei gleich-
zeitigem Betreiben von drei oder mehr
Gas-Kochstellen die Haube in der
Maximalstufe betrieben werden.
❑Bevor Sie das neue GerĂ€t benutzen,
lesen Sie bitte sorgfÀltig die
Gebrauchsanleitung.
Sie enthĂ€lt wichtige Informationen fĂŒr Ihre
Sicherheit sowie zum Gebrauch und zur
PïŹ‚ege des GerĂ€tes.
❑Bewahren Sie die Gebrauchs- und
Montageanleitung ggf. fĂŒr einen
Nachbesitzer gut auf.
ëȘ‡Ist das GerĂ€t beschĂ€digt, dĂŒrfen Sie es
nicht in Betrieb nehmen.
ëȘ‡Anschluss und Inbetriebnahme dĂŒrfen
nur von einem Fachmann durchgefĂŒhrt
werden.
ëȘ‡Wenn die Anschlussleitung dieses
GerÀtes beschÀdigt wird, muss sie durch
den Hersteller oder seinen Kundendienst
oder eine Ă€hnlich qualiïŹzierte Person ersetzt
werden, um GefÀhrdung zu vermeiden.
ëȘ‡Verpackungsmaterial ordnungsgemĂ€ĂŸ
entsorgen (siehe Montageanleitung).
ëȘ‡Diese Dunstabzugshaube ist nur fĂŒr
den Betrieb in Haushalten bestimmt.
ëȘ‡Dunstabzugshaube nur mit
eingesetzten Lampen betreiben.
ëȘ‡Defekte Lampen sollten sofort ersetzt
werden, um Überlastung der restlichen
Lampen zu vermeiden.
ëȘ‡Dunstabzugshaube nie ohne FettïŹlter
betreiben.
ëȘ‡Ăœberhitzte Fette oder Öle können sich
leicht entzĂŒnden.
Darum Speisen mit Fetten oder Ölen,
z. B. Pommes frites, nur unter Aufsicht
zubereiten.

Bedienen der Dunstabzugshaube
ëȘ‡Der KĂŒchendunst wird am
wirkungsvollsten beseitigt durch:
❑Einschalten der Dunstabzugshaube
bei Kochbeginn.
❑Ausschalten der Dunstabzugshaube
erst einige Minuten nach Kochende.

❑Beim DrĂŒcken einer Taste ertönt zur
BestÀtigung ein Signalton.
Ausschalten des Signaltons:
❑DrĂŒcken Sie gleichzeitig die Tasten 0und
+bis nach ca. 3 Sekunden ein Signal
ertönt.
Einschalten des Signaltons:
❑Wiederholen Sie den Vorgang.
Einschalten des LĂŒfters:
❑DrĂŒcken Sie die Taste +.
Einstellen der gewĂŒnschten LĂŒfterstufe:
❑DrĂŒcken Sie die Taste +.
Der LĂŒfter schaltet eine Stufe höher.
❑DrĂŒcken Sie die Taste –.
Der LĂŒfter schaltet eine Stufe zurĂŒck.
Ausschalten des LĂŒfters:
❑DrĂŒcken Sie die Taste 0.
Die Anzeige {erlischt nach kurzer Zeit.
Oder:
❑DrĂŒcken Sie die Taste –so oft, bis der
LĂŒfter ausschaltet.
Die Anzeige {erlischt nach kurzer Zeit.
Intensivstufe:
Durch die Intensivstufe wird die höchste
Leistung erreicht. Sie wird kurzzeitig
benötigt.
❑DrĂŒcken Sie die Taste +so oft, bis die
Anzeige çleuchtet.
❑Wird die Intensivstufe nicht von Hand
ausgeschaltet, schaltet der LĂŒfter nach
10 Minuten selbsttÀtig auf Stufe }
zurĂŒck.
LĂŒfternachlauf:
❑DrĂŒcken Sie die Taste .
Der LĂŒfter lĂ€uft 10 Minuten in Stufe |,
dabei blinkt in der Anzeige ein Punkt.
Danach schaltet der LĂŒfter selbsttĂ€tig
aus.
Beleuchtung:
❑DrĂŒcken Sie kurz die Taste azum Ein-
und Ausschalten.
❑Die Beleuchtung kann zu jeder Zeit
verwendet werden, auch wenn der
LĂŒfter ausgeschaltet ist.
❑Einstellen der Helligkeit:
Halten Sie die Taste agedrĂŒckt, bis die
gewĂŒnschte Helligkeit erreicht ist.
Automatisches Einschalten der
Beleuchtung, z. B. ĂŒber eine
Zeitschaltuhr:
❑LĂŒfter und Beleuchtung mĂŒssen
ausgeschaltet sein.
Einschalten:
DrĂŒcken Sie gleichzeitig die Tasten
– und !.
❑Nach ca. 3 Sekunden schaltet sich zur
BestÀtigung die Beleuchtung ein.
Ausschalten:
Wiederholen Sie den Vorgang bei
eingeschalteter Beleuchtung.
❑Nach ca. 3 Sekunden schaltet sich zur
BestÀtigung die Beleuchtung aus.

Reinigen und PïŹ‚egen
Dunstabzugshaube durch Ziehen des
Netzsteckers bzw. Ausschalten der
Sicherung stromlos machen.
❑Beim Reinigen der FettïŹlter die
zugÀnglichen GehÀuseteile von
abgelagertem Fett reinigen.
Dadurch wird der Brandgefahr
vorgebeugt und die optimale Funktion
bleibt erhalten.
❑Zum Reinigen der Dunstabzugshaube
heiße SpĂŒllauge oder mildes Fenster-
putzmittel verwenden.
❑Kratzen Sie angetrocknete Ver-
schmutzung nicht ab, sondern weichen
Sie diese mit einem feuchten Tuch auf.
❑Keine scheuernden Mittel oder
kratzende SchwÀmme verwenden.
❑Hinweis: Alkohol (Spiritus) nicht auf
KunststoffflÀchen anwenden, es
könnten matte Stellen entstehen.
Vorsicht! KĂŒche ausreichend
belĂŒften, keine offene Flamme.
ëȘ‡Die Bedientasten nur mit milder
SpĂŒllauge und einem weichen, feuchten
Tuch reinigen.
Keinen Edelstahlreiniger fĂŒr die
Bedientasten verwenden.
EdelstahloberïŹ‚Ă€chen:
❑Verwenden Sie einen milden nicht
scheuernden Edelstahlreiniger.
❑Reinigen Sie nur in Schliffrichtung.
ëȘ‡EdelstahloberïŹ‚Ă€chen nicht mit
kratzenden SchwÀmmen und nicht mit
sand-, soda-, sÀure- oder chloridhaltigen
Putzmitteln reinigen!
Aluminium-, Lack- und Kunststoff-
oberïŹ‚Ă€chen:
❑Verwenden Sie ein weiches, fusselfreies
Fenster- oder Microfasertuch.
❑Keine trockenen TĂŒcher verwenden.
❑Verwenden Sie ein mildes Fenster-
reinigungsmittel.
❑Keine aggressiven, sĂ€ure- oder laugen-
haltigen Reiniger verwenden.
❑Keine Scheuermittel verwenden.
Auswechseln der Lampen
1. Schalten Sie die Dunstabzugshaube aus
und machen Sie durch Ziehen des Netz-
steckers oder Ausschalten der Sicherung
die Dunstabzugshaube stromlos.
ëȘ‡Die Halogenbirnen werden bei Betrieb
sehr heiß. Auch einige Zeit nach dem Aus-
schalten besteht noch Verbrennungs-
gefahr.
2. Nehmen Sie den Lampenring mit einem
Schraubenzieher oder Àhnlichem ab.
3. Tauschen Sie die Halogenbirne aus
(handelsĂŒbliche Halogenbirne, 12 Volt,
max. 20 Watt, Sockel G4).
Achtung: Steckfassung.
Zum Anfassen der Birne ein sauberes
Tuch verwenden.
4. Rasten Sie den Lampenring wieder ein.
5. Stellen Sie durch Einstecken des
Netzsteckers oder durch Einschalten der
Sicherung die Stromversorgung wieder
her.
Hinweis: Sollte die Beleuchtung nicht
funktionieren, kontrollieren Sie, ob die
Lampen richtig eingesteckt sind.

Störungen
Wenn in der Anzeige ein #oder ĂŁ
erscheint:
❑Siehe Abschnitt „Filter und Wartung”.
Wenn sich die Dunstabzugshaube nicht
bedienen lÀsst:
❑FĂŒr ca. 1 Minute die Dunstabzugshaube
durch Ziehen des Netzsteckers bzw.
Ausschalten der Sicherung stromlos
machen.
Danach neu einschalten.
Bei eventuellen RĂŒckfragen oder
Störungen, Kundendienst anrufen.
(Siehe Kundendienststellenverzeichnis).
Bei Anruf bitte angeben:
Einstellung der SĂ€ttigungsanzeige
Sollte die Umstellung der Betriebsart
(Abluft/Umluftbetrieb) notwendig sein, muss
auch die SĂ€ttigungsanzeige fĂŒr die Filter
entsprechend umgestellt werden (siehe
Montageanleitung).
E-Nr. FD
Tragen Sie die Nummern in obige Felder ein.
Die Nummern sind auf dem Typenschild,
nach Abnahme der FettïŹlter, im Innenraum
der Dunstabzugshaube zu ïŹnden.

Wichtige Hinweise
ZusÀtzliche Hinweise bei Gas-Koch-
gerÀten:
ëȘ‡Bei der Montage von Gaskochstellen
sind die national einschlÀgigen gesetzlichen
Bestimmungen (z. B. in Deutschland:
Technische Regeln Gasinstallation TRGI) zu
beachten.
ëȘ‡Es mĂŒssen die jeweils gĂŒltigen Einbau-
vorschriften und die Einbauhinweise der
Gas-GerÀtehersteller beachtet werden.
ëȘ‡Die Dunstabzugshaube darf nur an
einer Seite neben einem Hochschrank oder
einer hohen Wand eingebaut werden.
Abstand mind. 50 mm.
ëȘ‡Mindestabstand bei Gas-Kochstellen
zwischen Oberkante TopftrÀger und
Unterkante der Dunstabzugs-
haube: 650 mm, Abb. 1.
ëȘ‡AltgerĂ€te sind kein wertloser Abfall.
Durch umweltgerechte Entsorgung können
wertvolle Rohstoffe wiedergewonnen
werden.
Bevor Sie das AltgerÀt entsorgen, machen
Sie es unbrauchbar.
ëȘ‡Ihr neues GerĂ€t wurde auf dem Weg zu
Ihnen durch die Verpackung geschĂŒtzt. Alle
eingesetzten Materialien sind umweltver-
trÀglich und wieder verwertbar. Bitte helfen
Sie mit und entsorgen Sie die Verpackung
umweltgerecht.
Über aktuelle Entsorgungswege informieren
Sie sich bitte bei Ihrem FachhÀndler oder
bei Ihrer Gemeindeverwaltung.
ëȘ‡Die Dunstabzugshaube ist fĂŒr Abluft-
und Umluftbetrieb verwendbar.
ëȘ‡Die Dunstabzugshaube immer ĂŒber der
Mitte der Kochstellen anbringen.
ëȘ‡Mindestabstand zwischen Elektro-
kochstellen und Unterkante der Dunstab-
zugshaube: 550 mm, Abb. 1.
ëȘ‡Ăœber einer FeuerstĂ€tte fĂŒr feste
Brennstoffe, von der eine Brandgefahr
(z. B. FunkenïŹ‚ug) ausgehen kann, ist die
Montage der Dunstabzugshaube nur dann
zulÀssig, wenn die FeuerstÀtte eine
geschlossene nicht abnehmbare
Abdeckung hat und die lĂ€nderspeziïŹschen
Vorschriften eingehalten werden.
Diese EinschrĂ€nkung gilt nicht fĂŒr Gas-
Herde und Gas-Mulden.
ëȘ‡Je kleiner der Abstand zwischen
Dunstabzugshaube und Kochstellen desto
grĂ¶ĂŸer ist die Möglichkeit, dass sich durch
aufsteigenden Wasserdampf unten an der
Dunstabzugshaube Tropfen bilden können.

Vor der Montage
Die Abluft wird ĂŒber einen LĂŒftungsschacht
nach oben, oder direkt durch die Außen-
wand ins Freie geleitet.
DDie Abluft darf weder in einen in Betrieb
beïŹndlichen Rauch- oder Abgaskamin
noch in einen Schacht, welcher der Ent-
lĂŒftung von AufstellungsrĂ€umen von Feuer-
stÀtten dient, abgegeben werden.
Bei der Ableitung von Abluft sind die
behördlichen und gesetzlichen Vor-
schriften (z. B. Landesbauordnungen) zu
beachten.
Bei AbfĂŒhrung der Luft in nicht in Betrieb
beïŹndliche Rauch- oder Abgaskamine ist
die Zustimmung des zustÀndigen Schorn-
steinfegermeisters einzuholen.
DBei Abluftbetrieb der Dunstabzugs-
haube und gleichzeitigem Betrieb
schornsteinabhÀngiger Feuerungen (wie
z. B. Gas-, Öl- oder KohleheizgerĂ€te,
Durchlauferhitzer, Warmwasserbereiter)
muss fĂŒr ausreichend Zuluft gesorgt
werden, die von der FeuerstÀtte zur Ver-
brennung benötigt wird.
Ein gefahrloser Betrieb ist möglich, wenn
der Unterdruck im Aufstellraum der
FeuerstÀtte von 4 Pa (0,04 mbar) nicht
ĂŒberschritten wird.
Dies kann erreicht werden, wenn durch
nicht verschließbare Öffnungen, z. B. in

ge Verriegelung o. À., die Verbrennungsluft

Vergiftungsgefahr durch zurĂŒckgesaugte
Verbrennungsgase.
Ein Zuluft-/Abluftmauerkasten allein stellt
die Einhaltung des Grenzwertes nicht
sicher.
Anmerkung: Bei der Beurteilung muss
immer der gesamte LĂŒftungsverbund der
Wohnung beachtet werden. Bei Betrieb
von KochgerÀten, z. B. Kochmulde und
Gasherd wird diese Regel nicht
angewendet.
Wenn die Dunstabzugshaube im Umluftbe-
trieb – mit AktivkohleïŹlter – verwendet wird,
ist der Betrieb ohne EinschrÀnkung
möglich.
Wird die Abluft durch die Außenwand
geleitet, sollte ein Teleskop-Mauerkasten
verwendet werden.

Vor der Montage
Optimale Leistung der Dunstabzugs-
haube:
❑Kurzes, glattes Abluftrohr.
❑Möglichst wenig Rohrbögen.
❑Möglichst große Rohrdurchmesser und
große Rohrbögen.
Der Einsatz von langen, rauhen
Abluftrohren, vielen Rohrbögen oder
kleineren Rohrdurchmessern fĂŒhrt zu
einer Abweichung von der optimalen
Luftleistung und gleichzeitig zu einer
GerÀuscherhöhung.
❑Rundrohre:
Wir empfehlen
Innendurchmesser 150 mm, jedoch
mind. 120 mm.
❑FlachkanĂ€le mĂŒssen einen
gleichwertigen Innenquerschnitt wie
Rundrohre haben.
Sie sollten keine scharfen
Umlenkungen haben.

❑Bei abweichenden Rohrdurch-
messern: Dichtstreifen einsetzen.

1. Taste 0drĂŒcken und halten.
2. WĂ€hrend die Anzeige {leuchtet
zusĂ€tzlich die Taste drĂŒcken, bis die
Anzeige ĂŁleuchtet. Danach die Tasten
loslassen.
❑Die Anzeige ãerlischt nach kurzer Zeit.
Die elektronische Steuerung ist auf
Umluftbetrieb eingestellt.
❑Durch Wiederholen der Schritte 1und 2
wird die elektronische Steuerung wieder
auf Abluftbetrieb umgestellt (Anzeige #).
Umstellung der elektronischen
Steuerung auf Umluftbetrieb:
❑SerienmĂ€ĂŸige Einstellung ist
Abluftbetrieb.
❑Die Dunstabzugshaube muss
angeschlossen und ausgeschaltet sein.
Elektrischer Anschluss
Die Dunstabzugshaube darf nur an eine
vorschriftsmĂ€ĂŸig installierte Schutzkontakt-
steckdose angeschlossen werden.
Die Schutzkontaktsteckdose möglichst
direkt hinter der Kaminverblendung
anbringen.
Elektrische Daten:
Sie sind auf dem Typenschild nach
Abnahme der Filterrahmen – im Innenraum
des GerĂ€tes – zu ïŹnden.
ëȘ‡Bei Reparaturen die Dunstabzugs-
haube generell stromlos machen.
LĂ€nge der Anschlussleitung: 1,30 m.
Bei erforderlichem Festanschluss:
Die Dunstabzugshaube darf in jedem Fall
nur durch einen beim zustÀndigen

Einbauen
Die Dunstabzugshaube ist fĂŒr die
Montage an die KĂŒchenwand vorgesehen.
1. FettïŹlter abnehmen
(siehe Gebrauchsanleitung).
2. Von der Decke bis zur Unterkante der
Dunstabzugshaube eine Mittellinie an
die Wand anzeichnen.
3. Mit Hilfe der Schablone Positionen fĂŒr
die Schrauben an der Wand anreißen
und zum leichteren EinhÀngen die
Kontur des EinhÀngebereiches
anzeichnen.
ëȘ‡Auf Mindestabstand Kochstelle –
Dunstabzugshaube von 550 mm bei
Elektro-Kochstellen bzw. 650 mm bei Gas-
Kochstellen achten. Der untere Rand der
Schablone entspricht dem unteren Rand
der Dunstabzugshaube (Glasschirm).
4. 3 Löcher fĂŒr die Dunstabzugshaube und
2 Löcher fĂŒr die Kaminverblendung

Operating modes
Exhaust-air mode:
❑The extractor-hood fan extracts the
kitchen vapours and conveys them
through the grease ïŹlter into the
atmosphere.
❑The grease ïŹlter absorbs the solid
particles in the kitchen vapours.
❑The kitchen is kept almost free of grease
and odours.
DWhen the extractor hood is operated
in exhaust-air mode simultaneously with
a different burner which also makes use
of the same chimney (such as gas, oil or
coal-ïŹred heaters, continuous-ïŹ‚ow heaters,
hot-water boilers) care must be taken to
ensure that there is an adequate supply
of fresh air which will be needed by the
burner for combustion.
Safe operation is possible provided that the
underpressure in the room where the
burner is installed does not exceed 4 Pa
(0.04 mbar).

Instructions for use:
Operating modes
This can be achieved if combustion air can
ïŹ‚ow through non-lockable openings, e.g. in
doors, windows and via the air-
intake/exhaust-air wall box or by other
technical measures, such as reciprocal
interlocking, etc.
If the air intake is inadequate, there is a
risk of poisoning from combustion gases
which are drawn back into the room.
An air-intake/exhaust-air wall box by itself is
no guarantee that the limiting value will not
be exceeded.
Note: When assessing the overall
requirement, the combined ventilation
system for the entire household must be
taken into consideration. This rule does not
apply to the use of cooking appliances,
such as hobs and ovens.
Unrestricted operation is possible if the
extractor hood is used in recirculating mode
– with activated carbon ïŹlter.
Circulating-air mode:
❑An activated carbon ïŹlter must be ïŹtted
for this operating mode (see Filters and
maintenance).
ëȘ‡The complete installation set and
replacement ïŹlters can be obtained from
specialist outlets.
The corresponding accessory numbers
can be found at the end of these
operating instructions.
❑The extractor-hood fan extracts the
kitchen vapours which are puriïŹed in the
grease ïŹlter and activated carbon ïŹlter
and then conveyed back into the
kitchen.
❑The grease ïŹlter absorbs the grease
particles in the kitchen vapours.
❑The activated carbon ïŹlter binds the
odorous substances.
ëȘ‡If no activated carbon ïŹlter is installed,
it is not possible to bind the odorous
substances in the cooking vapours.

Gas hobs / Gas cookers
ëȘ‡Do not use all the gas hotplates
simultaneously for a prolonged period
(max. 15 minutes) at maximum thermal
load, otherwise there is a risk of burns if the
housing surfaces are touched or a risk of
damage to the extractor hood. If the
extractor hood is situated over a gas hob,
operate the hood at maximum setting if
three or more gas hotplates are operated
simultaneously.

Intensive setting:
Maximum power is obtained at the
intensive setting. It is only required for short
intervals.
❑Keep pressing the +button until a ç
appears in the display.
❑If the intensive setting is not cancelled by
hand, the fan will automatically switch
back to step }after 10 minutes.
Fan follow-on:
❑Press the button.
The fan continues to run at step |for 10
minutes, and at the same time a dot
ïŹ‚ashes in the display. After this period
the fan switches off automatically.
Lighting:
❑BrieïŹ‚y press the abutton to switch the
light on and off.
❑The light can be switched on at any
time, even though the fan is switched off.
❑Adjusting the brightness:
Hold down the abutton until the
desired brightness is obtained.
Switching on the light automatically, e.g.
via a timer:
❑Fan and light must be switched off.

switches on to acknowledge the setting.

vapours produced during cooking is to:

as soon as you begin cooking.

cooking.

Grease ïŹlters:
Metal ïŹlters are used to trap the greasy
element of the vapours that develop
during cooking.
The ïŹlter mats are made from non-
combustible metal.
Caution:
As the ïŹlter becomes more and more
saturated with grease, not only does the
risk of it catching ïŹre increase but the
efficiency of the extractor hood can also be
adversely affected.
Important:
By cleaning the metal grease ïŹlters at
appropriate intervals, the possibility of them
catching ïŹre as a result of a build-up of heat
such as occurs when deep-fat frying or
roasting is taking place, is reduced.
Saturation indicator:
When the grease ïŹlters reach saturation
point, an acoustic signal is sounded for 10
seconds after the fan has switched off, and
an #appears in the display. The grease
ïŹlters should be cleaned straight away.
Cleaning the metal grease ïŹlters:
❑The ïŹlters can be cleaned in a dish-
washer. It is however possible that they
will become slightly discoloured.
Important:
Metal ïŹlters that are saturated with
grease should not be washed together
with other dishes etc.
❑When cleaning the ïŹlters by hand, soak
them in hot soapy water ïŹrst of all.
Then brush the ïŹlters clean, rinse them
thoroughly and leave the water to drain off.
Removing and inserting the metal grease
ïŹlters:
Warning: The halogen bulbs must be
switched off and cool.
1. Rotate the two catches on the grease
ïŹlter and remove the grease ïŹlter.
Filters and maintenance
2. Clean the grease ïŹlter.
3. Re-insert the clean grease ïŹlter.
4. Cancel the #in the display.
❑Press the 0button.

Saturation indicator:
When the activated carbon ïŹlter reaches

2. Press in the lug at the front and remove
the activated carbon ïŹlter.

5. Cancel the ĂŁin the display.
❑Press the 0button.

Replacing the activated carbon ïŹlter:
❑A replacement ïŹlter can be obtained
from any authorized dealer (see optional
accessories).

By doing so you will obtain maximum
performance from your extractor hood.
Disposing of the old activated carbon
ïŹlter:
❑There are no pollutants in the activated
carbon ïŹlters. They can therefore be
disposed of as part of your normal
domestic refuse.
Activated carbon ïŹlter:
For neutralizing odours in recirculating
mode.
Caution:
As the ïŹlter becomes more and more
saturated with grease, there is an increased
risk of ïŹre and the function of the extractor
hood may be impaired.
Important:
Change the activated carbon ïŹlter promptly
to prevent the risk of ïŹre from the
accumulation of heat when deep-fat frying
or roasting.
Inserting the ïŹlter:
Warning: The halogen bulbs must be
switched off and cool.
1. Remove the metal ïŹlters (see "Removing
and inserting the metal grease ïŹlters").
2. Insert the activated carbon ïŹlter.

Cleaning and care
Disconnect the extractor hood from the
electricity supply by pulling out the mains
plug or switching it off at the fuse box.
❑At the same time as you clean the
grease ïŹlters, clean off any grease from
all accessible parts of the housing. This
signiïŹcantly reduces the ïŹre hazard and
ensures that the extractor hood
performs as effectively as possible.
❑Use a hot detergent solution or a mild
window cleaner to clean the canopy of
the extractor hood.
❑Do not scrape off any dirt that has dried
on but loosen it up with a damp cloth.
❑Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or
sponges that could cause scratches.
❑Note: Do not use alcohol (spirit) on pla-
stic parts, otherwise the surface may
become matt in appearance.
Caution: Ensure that the kitchen is ade-
quately ventilated. Avoid naked ïŹ‚ames!
ëȘ‡Clean the operating buttons with a mild
soapy solution and a soft, damp cloth only.
Do not use stainless-steel cleaner to clean
the operating buttons.
Stainless steel surfaces:
❑Use a mild non-abrasive stainless steel
cleaner.
❑Clean the surface in the same direction
as it has been ground and polished.
ëȘ‡Do not use any of the following to clean
stainless steel surfaces: abrasive sponges,
cleaning agents containing sand, soda, acid
or chloride!
Aluminium, painted and plastic surfaces:
❑Use a soft, non-linting window cloth or
micro-ïŹbre cloth.
❑Do not use dry cloths.
❑Use a mild window cleaning agent.
❑Do not use aggressive, acidic or caustic
cleaners.
❑Do not use abrasive agents.
Replacing the light bulbs
1. Switch off the extractor hood and pull
out the mains plug or switch off the
electricity supply at the fuse box.
ëȘ‡When switched on, the halogen bulbs
become very hot. Even for some time after
the bulbs have been switched off there is
still a risk of burns.
2. Remove the bulb ring with a screwdriver
or similar tool.
3. Replace the halogen light bulb
(conventional halogen bulb, 12 Volt,
max. 20 Watt, G4 cap).
Caution: Refer for plug-in lampholder.
Take hold of the bulb with a clean cloth.
4. Re-insert the bulb ring.
5. Plug the appliance into the mains or
switch it on at the fuse box.
Note: If the light does not function, check
that the bulbs have been inserted correctly.

Prior to installation
For optimum extractor hood efficiency:
❑Short, smooth air exhaust pipe.
❑As few bends in the pipe as possible.
❑Diameter of pipe to be as large as
possible and no tight bends in pipe.
If long, rough exhaust-air pipes,
many pipe bends or smaller pipe
diameters are used, the air extraction
rate will no longer be at an optimum
level and there will be an increase in
noise.
❑Round pipes:
We recommend
Internal diameter: 150 mm (at least
120 mm).
❑Flat ducts must have an internal cross-
section that equates to that of round
pipes.
There should be no sharp bends.

IMPORTANT: Fitting a Different Plug:
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
Green and Yellow – Earth
Blue – Neutral
Brown – Live
If you ïŹt your own plug, the colours of
these wires may not correspond with the
identifying marks on the plug terminals.
This is what you have to do:
1. Connect the green and yellow (Earth)
wire to the terminal in the plug marked
‘E’ or with the symbol ( ), or
coloured green or green and yellow.
2. Connect the blue (Neutral) wire to the
terminal in the plug marked ‘N’ or
coloured black.
3. Connect the brown (Live) wire to the
terminal marked ‘L’, or coloured red.
The extractor hood should only be
connected to an earthed socket that has
been installed according to relevant
regulations.
If possible, site the earthed socket directly
behind the chimney panelling.
Electrical data:
Are to be found on the name plate inside
the appliance after removal of the ïŹlter
frame.
ëȘ‡Before undertaking any repairs,
always disconnect the extractor hood from
the electricity supply.
Length of the connecting cable: 1.30 m.
If it is necessary to wire the extractor
hood directly into the mains:
The extractor hood should only be
connected to the electricity supply by a
properly qualiïŹed electrician.
A separator must be installed in the house-
hold circuit. A suitable separator is a switch
that has a contact gap of more than 3 mm
and interrupts all poles. Such devices
include circuit breakers and contactors.
ëȘ‡If the connecting cable for this applian-
ce is damaged, the cable must be replaced
by the manufacturer or his customer
service or a similarly qualiïŹed person in
order to prevent serious injury to the user.
This extractor hood corresponds to EC
regulations concerning RF interference
suppression.

Installation
This extractor hood is intended to be
mounted onto the kitchen wall.
1. Remove the grease ïŹlter
(refer to Operating Instructions).
2. Draw a line on the wall from the ceiling
to the lower edge of the hood at the
centre of the location where the hood is
going to be mounted.
3. Use the template to mark the points on
the wall where the screws will be moun-
ted. In order to make it easier to hook
the hood onto the screws, draw the out-
line of the area where the hood will be
attached.
ëȘ‡Ensure that the minimum distance
between the hob and the extractor hood is
maintained – 550 mm for an electric hob
and 650 mm for a gas hob. The bottom
edge of the template corresponds to the
lower edge of the extractor hood (glass
screen).
4. Drill 3 x l8 mm holes for the extractor
hood and 2 x l8 mm holes for the
chimney panelling. Insert plugs into the
holes so that they are ïŹ‚ush with the wall.
Note: Take into account any special
accessories that are going to be ïŹtted.
5. Screw on the upper and the two lower
ïŹxing brackets.

Filtres Ă  graisse:
Vous pouvez utiliser divers ïŹltres pour
retenir les particules grasses en
suspension dans les buées de cuisson.
Ces nattes ïŹltrantes sont en mĂ©tal
incombustible.
Attention:
Plus elles se saturent en particules grasses
et plus elles risquent de s'enïŹ‚ammer.
D'autre part, leur saturation risque de gĂȘner
le bon fonctionnement de la hotte.
Important:
Prévenez tout risque d'incendie en net-
toyant Ă  temps les ïŹltres Ă  graisse en mĂ©tal.
Ce risque est dĂ» Ă  l'accumulation de
chaleur pendant la friture ou le rĂŽtissage.
Indicateur de saturation:
Lorsque les ïŹltres Ă  graisse sont saturĂ©s, un
signal retentit pendant 10 secondes aprĂšs la
coupure du ventilateur et la lettre #est
allumĂ©e. Vous devrez nettoyer les ïŹltres Ă 
graisse au plus tard Ă  ce stade de saturation.
Nettoyage des ïŹltres Ă  graisse en mĂ©tal:
❑Ces ïŹltres sont nettoyables au lave-
vaisselle. Ils peuvent changer légÚrement
de couleur au lavage.
Important:
Ne lavez pas en mĂȘme temps la vaisselle
et les ïŹltres mĂ©talliques fortement
saturés en matiÚre grasse.
❑Si vous les nettoyez à la main, mettez les
ïŹltres Ă  tremper pendant plusieurs heures
dans de l'eau trÚs chaude additionnée de
produit Ă  vaisselle.
Ensuite, brossez les ïŹltres, rincez-les bien
puis laissez-les goutter.
Retrait et mise en place des ïŹltres Ă 
graisse en métal:
Attention: les ampoules halogĂšnes doivent
s'ĂȘtre Ă©teintes et avoir refroidi.
1. Poussez dans le sens de la ïŹ‚Ăšche le
cran situĂ© contre chaque ïŹltre Ă  graisse
puis abaissez les ïŹltres.

2. Nettoyez le ïŹltre Ă  graisse.
3. Une fois le ïŹltre Ă  graisse nettoyĂ©,
remettez-le en place.
4. Faites s'effacer la lettre #.
❑Appuyez sur la touche 0.

Indicateur de saturation:
Une fois que le ïŹltre Ă  charbon actif est
saturé, un signal retentit pendant
10 secondes aprĂšs que vous avez Ă©teint le
ventilateur et la lettre Cs'allume. Changez
le ïŹltre au plus tard lorsque le signal sonore
retentit.
Retrait du ïŹltre:
Attention: les ampoules halogĂšnes doivent
s'ĂȘtre Ă©teintes et avoir refroidi.
1. Retirez les ïŹltres Ă  graisse en mĂ©tal.
2. Enfoncez la patte avant puis retirez le
ïŹltre Ă  charbon actif par le bas.

3. Faites encranter la patte avant.
4. Remontez les ïŹltres Ă  graisse en mĂ©tal
(voir la section intitulée "Retrait et mise
en place des ïŹltres Ă  graisse en mĂ©tal).
5. Pour que la lettre ĂŁs'Ă©teigne.
❑Appuyez sur la touche 0pendant au
moins 5 secondes. Ensuite, un signal
retentit et la lettre ĂŁs'Ă©teint.
3. Remontez les ïŹltres Ă  graisse.
Changement du ïŹltre Ă  charbon actif:
❑Vous pouvez vous procurer un ïŹltre Ă 
charbon actif de rechange dans le
commerce spécialisé. Voir la section sur
les accessoires spéciaux.
❑N'utilisez qu'un ïŹltre d'origine.
Vous garantirez ainsi un fonctionnement
optimal de la hotte.
Mise au rebut du ïŹltre Ă  charbon actif
usagé:
❑Les ïŹltres Ă  charbon actif ne contiennent
aucune substance nocive. Vous pouvez
les mettre à la poubelles de déchets
résiduels.
Filtre Ă  charbon actif:
Ce ïŹltre sert Ă  retenir les substances
odoriférantes lorsque la hotte recycle l'air.
Attention:
Plus elles se saturent en particules grasses
et plus elles risquent de s'enïŹ‚ammer.
D'autre part, leur saturation risque de gĂȘner
le bon fonctionnement de la hotte.
Important:
Un changement Ă  temps des ïŹltres Ă 
charbon actif prévient le risque d'incendie.
Ce risque est dĂ» Ă  l'accumulation de
chaleur qui se produit pendant une friture
ou la cuisson d'un rĂŽti.
Mise en place du ïŹltre:
Attention: les ampoules halogĂšnes doivent
s'ĂȘtre Ă©teintes et avoir refroidi.
1. Retirez d'abord les ïŹltres Ă  graisse (voir
la section intitulée "Retrait et mise en
place des ïŹltres Ă  graisse en mĂ©tal).
2. Mettez en place le ïŹltre Ă  charbon actif.

Avant tout nettoyage et entretien, mettez
d'abord la hotte hors tension en débran-
chant la ïŹche mĂąle de la prise de courant
ou en coupant le disjoncteur/fusible.
❑Lors du nettoyage des ïŹltres Ă  graisse,
nettoyez la graisse qui s'est déposée dans
les endroits accessibles du corps de hotte.
Vous prévenez ainsi les risques d'incendie
et garantissez ainsi un fonctionnement
optimal de la hotte.
❑Pour la nettoyer, utilisez de l'eau chaude
additionnée de produit à vaisselle ou un
liquide non agressif Ă  laver les fenĂȘtres.
❑Ne tentez pas de gratter les salissures.
Ramollissez-les avec un essuie-tout
humide.
❑N'utilisez pas de produits rĂ©curants ni
d'Ă©ponges Ă  dos abrasif.
❑Remarque: ne nettoyez pas les surfaces
en plastique avec de l'alcool (à brûler) car
des taches mates pourraient apparaĂźtre.
Prudence: ventilez suffisamment la
cuisine, n'utilisez jamais de ïŹ‚amme nue.
ëȘ‡Ne nettoyez les touches de commande
qu'avec de l'eau additionnée d'un peu de
produit Ă  vaisselle. Utilisez un chiffon doux et
humide.
N'utilisez jamais de détergent pour acier pour
nettoyer les touches de commande.
Surfaces en acier inox:
❑Veuillez utiliser un produit pour l'acier inox
qui le nettoie sans le rayer.
❑Frottez toujours l'acier inox dans le sens de
son polissage.
ëȘ‡Ne nettoyez jamais les surfaces en acier
inox avec des éponges à dos récurant, et pas
non plus avec des détergents à base de
sable, soude caustique, acide ou chlore.
Surfaces en aluminium, peintes ou en
plastique:
❑Utilisez un chiffon doux, ne peluchant pas,
du genre employé pour nettoyer les vitres,
ou un chiffon Ă  microïŹbres.
❑N'utilisez pas de chiffons secs.
❑Utilisez un produit pour vitres mais non
aggressif.
❑N'utilisez pas de dĂ©tergents aggressifs,
contenant un acide ou une base.
❑N'utilisez pas de produits rĂ©curants.
Changer les ampoules halogĂšnes
4. RĂ©encrantez l'anneau de l'ampoule.
5. Pour remettre la hotte sous tension,
rebranchez la ïŹche mĂąle dans la prise de
courant ou remontez le fusible/réarmez
le disjoncteur.
Remarque: si l'Ă©clairage ne fonctionne
pas, contrĂŽlez si les ampoules sont
correctement enfoncées.
1. Avant tout nettoyage et entretien, mettez
d'abord la hotte hors tension en
dĂ©branchant la ïŹche mĂąle de la prise de
courant ou en coupant le isjoncteur/
fusible.
ëȘ‡Les ampoules halogĂšnes allumĂ©es
deviennent trĂšs chaudes. Le risque de vous
brĂ»ler demeure, mĂȘme un moment aprĂšs
les avoir Ă©teintes.
2. Retirez l'anneau de l'ampoule avec un
tournevis ou assimilé.
3. Changez l'ampoule halogĂšne (ampoule
halogĂšne en vente habituelle dans le
commerce, 12 volts, 20 watts maxi.,
douille G4).
Attention: douille Ă  enïŹchage.
Ne saisissez l'ampoule qu'avec un
chiffon propre.

RĂ©glage de l'indicateur de saturation
S'il faut convertir la hotte sur un autre mode
(par ex. du mode Air évacué au mode Air
recyclĂ©), vous devrez aussi modiïŹer en
conséquence l'indicateur de saturation du
ïŹltre (voir la notice de montage).
DĂ©rangements
Si #ou ĂŁapparaĂźt Ă  l'indicateur:
❑Voir la section intitulĂ©e "Filtre et
entretien".
Si les touches de la hotte aspirante
restent inopérantes:
❑DĂ©branchez pendant une minute environ
la ïŹche mĂąle de la hotte aspirante ou
retirez le fusible pour la mettre hors
tension.
Ensuite, réenclenchez la hotte.
Si vous avez des questions Ă  poser ou en
cas de dérangement, appelez s.v.p. le
service aprĂšs-vente.

que sur un cÎté un meuble haut ou une

ëȘ‡Plus l'Ă©cart est faible entre la hotte
aspirante et les foyers et plus il se pourra
que la vapeur montant des casseroles se
condense et forme des gouttes sur la face
inférieure de la hotte.
